Cannot access MobileMe Gallery

I cannot access anyone's (including mine!) MobileMe Gallery with my 3G iPhone. Instead, I get a black screen with an Apple logo and the text, "This request could not be processed."
I'm current with all updates, I've reset the iPhone (several times) and I've cleared the cache on iPhone Safari.
My wife's iPhone has no problem viewing any MobileMe Gallery.
I have no issues with any other website I surf to.
Any ideas?

Came across the same problem today. I was hoping there was a solution here on the discussion boards, but I did find this online:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=520523
and this
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20080804065204249
Basically from what I can gather the site is recognizing that you're on an iPhone and adjusts the URL accordingly (by inserting an /iphone/ into the address. The solution seems to be to type in this address:
http://gallery.me.com/<yourusername>
and it will work. I noticed its not the black gallery I get on mobileme but it works. Still investigating how to set the preferences for this page.
hope this helps.

I cannot access my email with my Palm software..getting error message saying to use PC or Mac browser. Any suggestions on how I can use my Palm browser to access my mobileMe mail?
    Thanks.

Hello mgrschizo, Welcome to the Palm Support Community.
There is no legal way to download the Installation Disk for the TX, due to the fact you've already mentioned - it contains copywritten software that is not "free for the taking".  You can purchase the latest version of Docs to Go from Dataviz.com.
Usedpdaparts.com appears to still have some of the disks for sale though:

  • Cannot access photo gallery

Have had phone for six months, no problem accessing photo gallery.  Now, when I click on the gallery widget, the gallery will not come up.  I have turned phone off and on, still will not work.  Thoughts?
Also, how do I know if the Gingerbread update is on our phones?  My wife and I have been experiencing some random issues the past few days---issues we didn't have previously.
    Thanks.

re: Photo Gallery --  if launching of the Gallery just closes, it is most likely due to a corrupted file in the Gallery. You can do a Search in this forum for other suggestions and methods to fix it ... but when I had this problem, I just plugged into my computers USB port and MOVED my images from the phone to my computer, then 1 by 1 viewed them - looking for the culprit. Thn copied the remaining ones back - or just the ones I really wanted.
Also, you can download the free app called 3D Gallery - it seems to be able to deal with corrupted images better than the stock gallery.
    Good luck.

I cannot access my mail, when I login to my mac account I get the new mobile.me page (I never knowingly made the transitiuon and trying failed), I can read the account page but not the mail.
There is this message on the lower right side of the account page:

    Am I one o the 1% ?
Is there still an alternate way to get my mail ?
using my mac.mail I get this information:

  • Cannot add photos from my own MobileMe gallery to my library

Computer A and Computer B are both linked to the same MobileMe account and both have iPhoto '08. I published a set of photos to a new MobileMe gallery using Computer A. I can view the gallery on Computer B, but I can't edit the photos on Computer B or add the photos to my library on Computer B. The edit buttons are grayed out.
I can use Computer B to create a new album from the photos in the MobileMe gallery, but they still cannot be edited and they don't actually appear in the library.
Does anyone know of a way to get the photos into my library on Computer B short of downloading each photo individually to Computer B and then importing in the Computer B library?

To get the photos on to B you'll need to subscribe to the gallery and download. However, you can only edit those published files on the computer that created the gallery.
If the two computers are linked together via a hard wired LAN you can have B log into A and use the library there. Or put the library on a external HD connected to A and let B access it there.
Send a feature request to Apple for what you'd like to be able to do via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • MobileMe Gallery - allowing multiple users access

    Hi,
I have a simple question - can allow more than one user access to a hidden MobileMe Gallery?
I seem to be able to choose only one name from a drop-down list. I'd like to allow two people access to my gallery. Is this possible?
    Thanks,
    :-Joe

Give the same name and password to both viewers.

  • I cannot access my mobileme on my imac it tells me that my browser safari and mozila can't open the page. However on my macbook it all works (in the same room)

i cannot access my mobileme on my imac it tells me that my browser safari and mozila can't open the page. However on my macbook it all works (in the same room. I have rebooted and rebooted. I have enough memory. Any help?

    Hi Hawaiian_Starman,
    Thank you for the suggestion.
I ran the first aid in the Keychain both for verification and for repair and both immediately returned with "no problems found".
As for the certificate, according the web administrator nothing had changed for the certificates.
even on the windows laptop I also get the certificate as being expired, but by simply accepting that I still have access.
I had a pop up every time that alerted me to the certificate issue, but whether I "continued" or not that still did not matter.
Yesterday, in an effort to find a solution, I went into the "details" and entered to trust this website.
Now that certificate issue does not pop up anymore. But I do not know how to reverse that either.
I have the feeling indeed it has something to do with a certificate, but how is the question.

  • I can't access my MobileMe gallery since the last update

I can't access my MobileMe gallery since the last update, and I don't have a computer to fix it or retrieve any of my pix or vids. What do I do?

What do your mean by "mygallery"?  Is this some service independent of icloud?
The old gallery on MobileMe is no longer, and icloud does not have such a service.  Did you save your old photos that were on MobileMe to a computer?  Because that was the only way to save them.  They are not on icloud.

What are you trying to look up on your mobile me account?  You should be syncing mobile me e mails, contacts, ect.  You have to set them up.

It's possible to access iCloud email in the Mail application on Snow Leopard, Leopard or Tiger by setting it up manually:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard

  • 03.12.12 i cannot access my MobileMe server.

Today 03.12.12 i cannot access my MobileMe server. I have it as a legacy from last year but have not received any notification that it would be switched off today. I need access to my data - How & who do I need to contact at Apple to help me resolve this?
My iCloud accout is working fine.

I knew it was coming but the comfort of it still working (yesterday all was good) meant I kept taking advantage of it!
You can't have been accessing the server - it's been closed since 1 August (and you will not be able to recover any data from it).
Were you using 'iDisk Syncing'? This is where you have a 'local copy' on your Desktop which in the past would have synced with the server, but obviously has not been doing so. However you would still be able to place data in it, but it has presumably now decided to disappear.
The 'local copy' is sourced from a 'sparsebundle' disk image which lives in (user)/Library/FileSync (and then in a sub-folder) so you may be able to locate that and open it to retrieve your data. However some people have reported difficulty in doing this, suggesting the file had become corrupted. You can only try. I really wouldn't bother contacting Apple: they won't be able to retrieve any of your data.

  • Can't access my MobileMe Gallery

I just started using iWeb, iLife 08 version.
I have previously put together a MobileMe photo gallery that I would like to add to my web page. However when I click widgets, under MobileMe Gallery is shows no albums or movies available.
    Any suggestions??

  • Cannot Access Time Capsule or Computer with MobileMe enabled

I have back to my mac set up on my imac but when I connect to a different wifi or tether my phone I cannot access the Time Capsule or Back to my Mac I'm 100% it is set up right this is getting really annoying for an Apple product. I have comcast if thats of any help.
Share disk over wan checked and allow setup over wan but still no dice. I tryed the dyndns way and it configured the dns for my domain I let it use but then it still wouldn't work so I just cancelled that and came back to square one.

    Need a bit more info.
Now this is what happens when I plug it in:
Plug it into power?? The main router?? Sorry I am unclear what you are plugging it into.
It sounds like you have not done the setup.
The TC should be in bridge and plugged into the current modem router you have.. and powered on full time.
If you cannot access it via the utility, I strongly suggest you buy the apple usb to ethernet dongle.. which helps air people no end.. or use any other computer that has a real ethernet port.
Otherwise set to factory and start over. (this will not do anything to what you already have on the disk).
Hold in reset and power on the TC.. wait about 10sec until the front led rapidly flashes. .then you can connect the computer.. and do the setup.. choose bridge in the Network section of the utility and update the TC.
Then you can plug it into the main router and access it and internet at the same time.. either by TC wireless or the main modem wireless.
Please note. .Gen1 TC is only going to last very little time.. it is already well past the average lifespan.. many died at 2years.. most gone by 4years.. plan on storing nothing important on it.

  • MobileMe Gallery and problems with new password

Hi. I'm using iPhoto 09, and have posted many MobileMe galleries over the years. Recently, I changed my MobileMe password. Now, iPhoto tells me that an "error occurred with the publication of album 'XYZ' Your MobileMe account information is not correct. The provided login or password is not valid" and it prompts me to return to MobileMe Preferences to re-enter my correct login and password. Well, the trouble is that I've done this many times. (Which also causes sync problems - but that's another story.) And though my System Preferences are now correct, I still cannot successfully update a MobileMe gallery in iPhoto. I checked my settings in the Keychain, and all is fine. I also trashed iPhoto preferences, but the problem still remains. Any thoughts on how to solve this irritating problem? Thanks!

I found another solution based on this posting.
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=689762
    Works perfectly.
+I have the same problem and started a thread about it on Apple's discussion board, see http://discussions.apple.com/thread....art=0&tstart=0+
+First, I'd suggest sending Apple feedback on it (select "Provide iPhoto Feedback" from the iPhoto menu).+
+When you change your MM password, you need to enter the new password in MobileMe in System Preferences. When you select MobileMe in System Preferences, it will (correctly) say that your password has changed and ask for the new one.+
+It looks like the problem with iPhoto is that when you enter the new password in MobileMe preferences, the keychain entry for it isn't being updated. Look for publish.me.com in Keychain Access. It will probably have the old password. Changing it there and then signing out/in in MM System Preferences seems to fix the problem with iPhoto. If not, try deleting publish.me.com in Keychain Access and then sign out/in to MobileMe in System Preferences.+
+Give it a try and post what happens.+
