Cannot Activate Crystal Reports 10

Hi. I need help activating Crystal Reports 10. The key I am using is the key that came with the package. It gives an error saying key invalid.
Situation:
Server crashed last week. When re-installing Crystal reports10 Embedded Edition, the server gives an error, KEY INVALID.
This is a huge issue. I suspect the key just needs to be reactivated on BO side/ reset.

Our server crashed. So the whole machine was formatted and re-done. I suspect that the key just needs to be re-set/re-activated.
We need to find a resolution for this problem as this is actualy one of our clients that are experiencing the problem and they need to be able to view reports. Which then reflects on our company as un-reliable.
I am personally very displeased at the "New support system" in place. In the past the proceedures we followed for support worked 100%. I would even go as far to say that service was outstanding!!
I have been through 4 companys for help, and have been directed to these portals/forums. This move has not been for the best. We are very fast losing interest in these products.

Cannot import Crystal report to a CA DB

Dear All,
Our client has a Crystal report. When we import it to CA DB, we got an error: SAP B1 was not able to import the following report / layout.
When we run the report from Crystal report >> add-ins >> SAP b1 >> preview in SAP B1, we can preview it no problem.
We import the report to their US DB, it works fine.
We import the report to a test CA DB we created long time ago, it works fine. This means, it is not a localization issue.
I have another Crystal report, I cannot import to the CA live DB too.
Since I am using manager user (super user and have pro license), it will not be a user authorization or license issue.
Is there anything wrong with their DB? Should I log a support message to SAP? I am not too sure if this is a support issue. Thanks in advance.

Cannot install Crystal Reports 2011

I tried to install Crystal Reports 2011. I followed the steps suggested by a SAP contact person and when I tried to run set up file, I am getting the following error: Install cannot proceed, Unalbe to install a product with a higher version over a product at a lower version Please use the appropriate patch...............

Has anyone managed to work this out. I am getting this also. Seems I cannot install sp2 or higher because of this message.

Cannot Install Crystal Reports for Eclipse v2.0 on Mac OSX

I've tried to install the Crystal Reports plug-in to my Eclipse environment without any success. No matter what I try, I get the same error message:
"Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Missing requirement: 1271104370856 0.0.0.1271104370856 requires 'com.businessobjects.crystalreports.integration.eclipse.feature.feature.group [2.0.6.r916]' but it could not be found"
To the best of my knowledge, I've installed all the correct pre-requisites listed on the SAP website. I've tried every search I can think of and have found nothing that helps.
I'm at my wits end...please help!

Note that the Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0 plugin is not supported nor tested on MacOS, regardless of version.
Feedback I've gotten is that the installation fails for the embedded designer components.
The Crystal Reports Java SDK runtime components - the library used to run rpt files on desktop of web apps using Java - is supported and tested on MacOS 10.5
You'll note that the Supported Platform guide for CR4E 2.0 is specific in listing support only for the Runtime.

Cannot View Crystal Report Outside Company (Red X)

I just publsihed a website to the web and when I try to run the crystal report from the net I get a red x. Internally it works fine. I copied the Virtual directories from the default website to my extranet site. E.G. Crystalreportsviewer115 and businessobjects.
I use recrystalize which creates the .asp pages with parameters and uses active x plugins. I do not get prompted for the active x plug in outside the company. Any help would be much appreciated.

Appreciate the response. I tried your first article in regards to dynamic images with no luck. I was a bit confused on granting access to the C:\Temp folder with an asp account. I cannot find the asp account is it a network account? Is it listed in AD?
- just right click on the temp folder (C:\windows\temp). Choose properties and then go to the Permissions tab. Add the ASP net worker process and give it full control.
I did create a new web.config file. When you say comment out do you mean remove? If so that is what I did. Nothing has changed. I am running XI R2.

Cannot install Crystal Reports Server 2008 and Client Tools on same machine

I am having trouble setting up Crystal Reports Server 2008 with Client Tools on a new Windows 2003 SP 2 machine. The Server 2008 package installs OK (built-in MySQL server, built-in Tomcat 5.5 server). Reports run okay. But my customer wants to run reports that use Salesforce as a data source, so I tried to install Crystal Reports Server 2008 Client Tools (needed for Salesforce support, apparently). I receive this error:
'Business Objects product detected: cannot continue with install'. Installation of Client Tools immediately terminates.
Oddly enough, when I uninstalled Server 2008, the Client Tools installed successfully. Then I tried installing Server 2008, and I got the same error message as with Server 2008. What the heck?
Any ideas on how I can get Server 2008 and Server 2008 Client Tools to live in harmony on the same machine? We were able to do this with a (otherwise overloaded) Win2K3 server before.

Typically the client tools are installed with enterprise by default. If not then you would want to use add/remove in control panel and select them. The installer thinks you are trying to install enterprise on top of itself and thus the error.

Cannot run Crystal report in SAP

Dear all,
I install the crystal report add-on and upload a report. I also installed CRRuntime_12_1_mlb.exe
When I preview the report, I got this error message
Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms, version=12.0.2000.0, culture=neutral,publickeytoken=692fbea5521e1304' or one fo its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Cannot install Crystal Reports 8.5 Pro - no Registration code

We want to re-install Crystal Reports Profession 8.5 because the old PC it was installed has been replaced. We have the CD and the keycode but cannot complete the process.The installation asks for the keycode and then all our details which we enter including a valid email but it seems to attempt to go a incorrect web address (displays http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/index.epx) and we get no registration code.
Searching and trawling about the SAP forums here didn't seem to help. Can anyone point us to the correct place to get a valid registration code.

Is the old PC still available? If so you can get if from there. You could try contact Customer Services but I doubt they would be able to get you a new registration number. CR 8.5 is close to 10 years old and with the name changes none of those old servers are running now.... Try calling the number in the help about box.
Other than that you'll just have to put up with the registration nag screen.

User cannot access Crystal reports after user was deleted and recreated

We are using Crystal Enterprise XIr2. We are using Windows AD authentication. We had an issue with a user where they were deleted in Active Directory. Now they can no longer run Crystal reports. When I go into the CMC and open users I see this user. When I try to open this user I get the following error
There was an error while retrieving data from the server: Active Directory Authentication failed to get the Active Directory groups for the account with ID "8B003DF11D45B244AC3B61AB36B6C445:ALLENDG". Please make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain.
I think Crystal is still trying to access the user's old Active Directory account.
I cannot delete the user either in CMC.
Is there someway I can correct this user.

Arjun - Thank you for your help. I looked in Central Management Console but I could not find what you indicated.
CMC--> Public Folder --> Administration Tools
In administration tool, there are two objects
1) Update Windows AD Group Graph
2) Update Windows AD Group Graph and Aliases --> Right click on this Report and click on RUN Now.
I ended up deleting the records for this user in these SQL tables and then user could access InfoView
CMS_Aliases5 (2 records for this user)
CMS_InfoObjects5 (1 record with both aliases)

Cannot save Crystal report layout or view new layout of report

I am trying to make a change to a system crystal report (cust. recievables detailed aging). I had to make the date feild a little wider, so I edited the "system layout" that came with SAP (in my test DB of course), and I go to add-ins>sap business one>save. I get the following error "current user has no permissions for this operation". I am logged in as a superuser and full perm.
If I "save-as" and save it to a layout in sap....when I go to open the aging with my newly created layout it freezes and asks for DB logon info to connect to my server from crystal. I do not normally have to do this when I preview my reports in the out of the box layouts. WHat am I doing wrong? I am new to crystal.

The system will not allow me to export the system crystal report....it is grayed out, and it IS a crystal report. HOwever I can open it in crystal, then save it to my desktop, then from INSIDE of SAP in the report and layout manager I import the crystal report I made the changes to from my desktop into SAP and it saves and imports no problems. However when I go to view the report (and this is only the ones I import), it prompts me with the db login for our server to connect, and it is only with that report, once I enter sa credentials it is fine and shows up from there on in, but not if I log out of SAP and back in...then I have to put in my credentials again. Is this something having to do with the report when I make changes to it? I cant have users entering login info each time they run the new aging details report. Please advise what I may be doing wrong when I make changes to a crystal report. It was a very minor change....just moved a feild width.

Cannot export crystal report in excel format from crystal report viewer

This problem occurs on only one workstation.
Open Advanced Reports > Enter workorder # > Click on 'workorder work(uninvoiced)' > Work order opens.
Click on icon "Export report"
Save as type: change to .xls
Error: Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer. Error in file
SAP.......rpt:
Error detected by export DLL:
Export failed.

Try adding c:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 to your windows enviroment variable PATH then restart.

Cannot view Crystal Report in JSP page ( error loading ? )

          Can someone please help or pass on any suggestions,
          I am trying to view my crystal report (test.rpt) in my JSP page but get the following error and im having trouble sorting it out. I am using Crystal 10 with weblogic. My report is just a simple report ( no data connection needed) with just some hard coded text. I simply want to view it through a JSP page. Can anyone shed any light on the error. Cannot view Crystal Reports 2008 API documentation

I've purchased Crystal Reports 2008 From the On-line Store.
I found the documentation on the API in the SAP Help Portal
I downloaded the Crystal Reports 2008 .Net API manual.
I get this great outline but there is no content with the statement "Navigation to the webpafe was canceled"

Cannot display Crystal Report with ActiveX Viewer

I am using SmartViewerActivex.asp in a classic ASP website to display Crystal Reports and the report will not load.
I get a blank grey screen with only the toolbar showing but able to export out with data intact.
I am using CR9, running in Windows Server 2012 R2 IIS 8.5.
I've already spent about 2 weeks and have not found an answer. Please HELP!

Unfortunately, no help available. I suspect when CR 9 released in 2002, Win Server 2012 was not even a twinkle in Bill's eye. E.g.; you are looking for CR 9 to be 10+ years forward compatible. In other words, it is not supported on WIN server 2012.
Possible option is to upgrade to CR XI R2 (v. 11.5). There you have a weak prayer and hope. With luck it may work. Note that CR XI r2 was the last version of CR to include the AcitiveX viewer. And CR XI R2 has been out of support for over 2 years now.
Best bet: CR SDK for VS .NET or CR SDK for Java. This would mean a new app...

Cannot Open Crystal Report

Dear All,
We set crystal report group and assign all crystal report for each group. When they try to run the report, there's an error message: "you're not authorize to view or print this report".
How do we solve this problem?

I've been through those process, create user group, assign users to the group and assign CR report to the group.
Btw, user type is normal user not super user.
