Cannot connect anymore to WPA2 Personal after upgrade
Hi everybody,
I'm writing because I cannot access anymore my Wi-Fi WPA2 Personal after I upgraded successfully this morning my Macbook, I bought it at the end of 2008.
The wireless icon on top right shows me the ! (exclamation mark), the IP address is assigned correctly. I tried deleting the network from the preferred connections but it didn't work.
I add the fact wireles connection worked perfectly since today.
Can you help me? Is this a known issue of OS X Maverick?
Thanks in advance!
I post the workaround that solved my problem, thanks again to wifiguru!!

Backup these 2 files:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
Then delete these 2 files and reboot. If you upload these 2 files someplace I can take a look if something was wrong in there.
Practically, I made a backup of those files, deleted them with root priviligies and reboot the computer...after that, I found with no work the Wi-Fi connected to my wireless; everything worked fine.
Hope this post helps people with same problem..

I have an iMac which came with os X 10.7.4.When I installed my Huawei E303 data card, I was able toconnect to the internet.
After upgrading to 10.7.5 the system appears toconnect and I can text, but there is nointernet connectivity.
Thanks for any adviceHi, this has worked for a few...
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...

10.7 & 10.8…
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
For 10.5/10.6/10.7, System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

safari, chrome and firefox cannot verify identity of secure websites after upgrading to 10.7.4, apple engineers have tried multiple things including operating system with no success
There are several threads about this problem, most notably one called 'Invalid Certificates' is over 4 pages long. Many of us have experienced difficulty connecting to banking and other secure sites. On my Macbook Pro, I cannot get to my banking site with any browser, however I can get there on my iMac using Safari, but get the 'Invalid Certificate' notice with FF and Chrome. The problem started after the installation of 10.7.4. I have sent a message to Apple--they will be dismayed to hear that I cannot complete an order at their online store!

Network Manager fails to connect with Huawei E3276 modem after upgrade
Hi,
I have Huawei E3276 (lsusb: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. E398 LTE/UMTS/GSM Modem/Networkcard).
I wasn't updating the system for a long time (since KDE 4.14.3), but after upgrade Network Manager can't connect anymore.
I also tried on the fresh install on different machine (KDE + Plasma 5.3), but I get the same error...
Error: failed to connect modem: Only IPv4 is supported by this modem.
I realize that this problem has nothing to do with KDE, but with new version of NM + MM, systemd, dhcpcd or dhclient?
Why now Network Manager don't use ppp like before upgrade (different connection type "cdc-wdm0")?
I would be grateful for any advice.

However, there's a new bug in the kernel, which was not there before:

but the modem works and connects to the network.

Nothing has changed between my network, Windows 7 computer or my iPad besides the upgrade of the ios app software to 8.1.5. Did not used to have any issues connecting but now when I try to connect, I get the above error when logging in.
I have tried reinstalling the ios app with no success and also confirmed I can still remote desktop to the PC from another PC with the credentials I've always been using.
I've also tried explicitly including the domain when entering the username with no luck. Looked through my Windows 7 event logs and can't find any more information on what this error means.
Has anyone seen anything similar or have any ideas what I can do to troubleshoot? Thanks!Hi,
I have a same problem.
Although RD Client 8.1.4 worked great, now I cannot connect to Windows 7 Professional computer from my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4) since the latest update.
Same as Twiggles, when I try to log in (just after entering username and password), the app gives me error code 0x507 "Disconnected from server".
Note that I connect to my PC over VPN using Cisco AnyConnect app.
After that, I've tried to connect to my PC in two different ways with same network settings as the above situation.
1. Use different remote app
I've tested free version of "PocketCloud" from Dell Wyse, and I CAN connect to my PC.
2. Use different version of iOS
I've tested the latest RD Client 8.1.5 on my another iPhone (5s) with iOS 8.1, and I CAN connect to my PC.
Therefore, I assume our 0x507 is not setting related, but probably some sort of iOS version dependent problem arise from the latest update.
Even though I tried PocketCloud, I believe RD Client is the BEST app for remote desktop for iOS.
I strongly hope this problem will be solved!
Thanks. -
Can't connect to 10.6 Server after upgrade
I have a Mac Mini server running 10.6.8 using kerberos as the only authentication for AFP.
After upgrade my Macbook to Lion I can't connect to the server Sharing Points anymore. If I try to connect from Go to Server, it asks me for a password. I think I am not being authenticated via kerberos. Before Lion everything was working fine. Another computer running 10.6 client are connecting fine, so I am thinking the problem is with 10.7
I used Login Options > Network Account Services to bind to the Server. Green Light!
I tryed klist from terminal but no credential was found, so I used kinit username. Now it shows a credential but I still can't connect.I solved use to finder menu connect server to and use complete name server with domain example:
afp://nameserver.domain.com and connected with kerberos -
Can the IPad connect to a WPA2-Personal Home Network?
My wife just got the IPad for her BDay this month, but we've been unable to connect to our linksys wireless network, having a WPA2 - Personal configuration (which requires an authenication key, never requested during IPad WiFi configuration).
I've read IPad discussions that WPA2 networks can be used, and the General, Settings page shows my network's WiFi SSID. But when tapped the IPad just presents a place for the password -- no key required. It's been tough explaining to my wife (even after simplifying the password, and after updating the firmware for the router) that an authenication key is necessary (i.e. I'm the bad guy).
Can anyone help?Ikers wrote:
My Linksys had the same problem. Under the router's wireless security, I chose WPA2/ WPA mixed mode. Everything started working then.

Can't connect to Mac App Store after upgrade to OSX 10.9
After upgrading to Mavericks, I cannot log into the Mac App store to update/purchase the apps on my MacBook Pro with Retina. I have two Apple ID's. With one I can connect to the Mac App Store. When I use the other ID it just hangs at the login box and does nothing. I need to use both ID's as I have software updates for both. Thanks for your assistance.

Cannot open survey files from email after upgrading SAP gui to 720
Cannot open survey files attachments from email after upgrading SAP gui from 640 to 720.
Tried uninstalling & reinstalling but still error persists,
Error is : cannot split connection string: /h/server name/s/sapdp00 ( from SAP GUI security )
Please advise. Can't say I have seen this error before but if it is pertaining to the new security module within 7.20, which are much more strict then 6.40, I would look under the SAP GUI configuration options. Focus on Security > Security settings.
There are pages and pages of rules which can be defined.
A test could be to disable all of them on an isolated machine and set them to allow and see if your problem persists. If the error is resolved, it is something in there you need to address.

IPad2 won't connect to Airport WPA2 Personal
I purchased in iPad2 today as a Christmas gift for my wife.
I attempted to set it up because she has problems, and once she has the product in her hands, then I have to direct over her shoulder and that is miserable.
Even more miserable is that I could not get the iPad2 to connect to the Airport network I had set up with WPA2 personal security.
Shoot, the iPad2 didn't even list WPA2 Personal, only WPA2 and I tried that. But it would not let me connect. I tried retyping password and network ID over and over, but it would not work. I could see the network, but I could not connect.
I returned the product because I did not want this headache on Christmas morning. I'd still like the product, but only if it works.
I've read elsewhere on the forums that with the new IOS5 the product does not work with any form of WPA security. For me that is not acceptable.
I tried calling Apple service, but after a while I was disconnected while waiting to talk. That happened four times.
Any ideas.Thanks for your reply.
At the moment, i use WPA2. Here's more information: I have ATT DSL (not Uverse... just their crappy DSL service - it's all that is available in my area at the moment, and I don't have a cable option.) I'm using the Netgear router that they made me buy from them when I got the service. It's pretty terrible, actually, and has only become worse with time. Up until last week, I had an non-secure but hidden network. Most everything could connect, but I was having some trouble with some devices losing the network and not being able to find it on their own. So I decided to go with a password again. So now all my computers, phones, tablets, gaming systems, etc, are connected to the router using the WPA/WPA2 password, but the apple TVs won't do i
At first, the ATV doesn't ask for a password... just tells me that it can't connect and the password is wrong. Then when I go back, it displays a screen that tells me to select the kind of security my WIFI uses, but the only options available are WEP, WEP Hex and WEP ASCII -
IPhone connections hangs when sending email after upgrade.
After upgrading to 2.0 firmware on my first generation IPhone, the phone now regulary hangs when sending email via smtp. Even if I try to close the connection by putting it into AirPlane mode and back again it still hangs and from that point onwards doesn't check or send any new emails. If I then shut the phone down and restart it looses the email as it's not either in the sent or outbox folders. This has happened quite a few times since upgrading. Does anybody have any advice?
Found this useful tidbit by mdwelsh231 on another thread:
"I'm having this problem too. Rather than rebooting the phone, an even easier solution is to hold down the Home button for several seconds (I believe it's 8 sec) which will kill the Mail application and return you to the home screen. Restarting Mail (by tapping the Mail icon) will cause it to reconnect. I find that this resolves the connection hanging issue. However, it is still kind of a pain. I suspect a bug in the 2.0 iPhone firmware. "
Worked for me

TS1277 "iPhoto was unable to connect to Photo Stream" error after upgrading to mountain lion
Has anyone gotten this error after upgrading to mountain lion on a computer that already had a user setup on it?
My iphoto was working with photostream and now it will not connect at all.
I ran fix disk permissions and once it showed up in iphoto, photostream was loading and then it disappeared again.
help!FWIW I fixed mine when I realised I'd probably downloaded iPhoto using an AppleID from the App Store but logged into iCloud with a different AppleID. I deleted iPhoto and it's related files (but not the iPhoto Library) using CleanApp, entered the App Store with my usual AppleID and downloaded iPhoto again. Once the App Store, the downloaded iPhoto and iCloud logins were the same iPhoto Stream worked again.
