Cannot connect to the intrent but it is there
i have a macbook pro 15 inch i move around alot but have connected to this wireless internet numoroues times, it says im am connect and have full internet service but safari wont work niether ichat, intrent says its conenct and everyhting full to jsut wont work. tried network diagnostics and everything but it says it cannot help. wat do i do?
ps on a diffrent computer connected to the same internet
I'd make a New Location for a test, with only the Interface used for Internet dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations and checked ON. Restart again.
Also,type this into Safari's url bar for a test...

Please help! I try to connect to the Internet but appears inscription There is no expansion of kernel PPP. Yesterday I used internet through the same connection- Dsl pppoe. Wi fi cannot connect too. On ipad and iphone it is work.
That's odd.
Try this: Unplug your Time Capsule and your router. On your MBP, click the Wi-Fi icon and select "Open Network Preferences".
Click the lock icon to authenticate, then click the "gear" and select "set service order". Wherever AirPort (or Wi-Fi - I forget what Snow Leopard calls it) appears, drag it elsewhere in the list. Click OK, then Apply, then power up your router and TC.
If that doesn't result in any change, repeat the above but try making the service(s) you do not need "inactive".
The purpose of this is to reset or at least change your Network Preferences, which somehow got confused upon upgrading to SL. -
I upgraded to 3.6.4 and now Firefox is 'Unable to connect' to the internet yet IE still can. I have checked that Firefox is allowed on my firewall. Any ideas please?

Error message received submitting form via email - "Acrobat cannot connect to the server"
Some of my users are unable to submit form data. The forms are set up to be submitted via email and only a few of the users are effected. They have installed the latest versions of both Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
"Acrobat cannot connect to the server, but will automatically submit your form once the server is online. You can check tracker for the status of this submission."
"You have already submitted the data on this form and it is waiting to be sent. Further changes are not allowed until the prior data is sent."
I know that this question has been asked before, but there has not been a response. This is very frustrating.

Only sporatic users get the error, and I've been unable to duplicate it from my machine. I am on Adobe Reader v 10.1.2.
Actually I can get around the error if I were to downgrade to Adobe v9, but that is a bandaid fix - not really a secure answer. -
HELP!!!!! I Cannot Connect to the Internet!!!!!!
I just connected my WRT54G router to my modem and hard wired my computer to port 1 on the back of the router............I cannot connect to the internet, but can connect to the router using 192.168.1.1. I am on a DSL connection. Any suggestions???? THANKS!!!!
If you were able to access the router's set-up page using the default gateway 192.168.1.1 with the modem already connected to the internet port of the router, it means that the default of the modem does not conflict with that of the router. if you cant go online, check the status tab and check for IP address. If you got values/numbers there, it should get you online. if not, if they are all 0.0.0.0, it means that you were still not able to establish connection with both devices.
try to connect your modem straight to the computer, if you cannot go online (since you have DSL connection), try to remember if your ISP gave you a username and password. Your modem is set to full bridged so in order for the router to work with the modem, set the Internet Connection type to " PPPoE" (you can see this under Set-Up tab).. and try to check if you can have IP address.
Or if there's no user name and password from ISP. configure first the router without connecting the modem. then change the router's IP address. then connect the router and configure. it should work now. just configure the wireless settings later after you are sure that you are online directly with the router. -
what do i do if my internet is wep and i need it to be wpa2 because my ipod touch 4th gen connects to the internet but when i click on safari or itunes it says safari cannot open the page because its not connected to the internet. i have contacted apple support and they said to change from wep to wpa2 but when i change it to wpa2 and type in password and connect on my laptop it says the saved setting on this computer for the network do not match the require ments of the network
My 2nd gen works fine with WPA2 and AES encryption.
You may need to go back and start over. Reset the router back to factory defaults, log on as the admin, set up security, DHCP, and make sure the IP address pool has enough IP addresses to lease to ALL of the computers/devices that will connect to that the router. -
I have a List which is having around 14000 items in it.while opening that list in datasheet view it is giving error .
Below is a summary of the issue:
After selecting datasheet view beow error occurs:
"Cannot connect to the server at this time. You can continue working with this list, but some data may not be available."
"Unable to retrieve all data."
The item counts displays say 100 out of 14000 items.
Exporting List to excel is giving only 2000 records out of 14000 records.
Other Observations -
This is happening to only one list on the site .There are other lists in the site whose no. of records is equal to 8000 to 9000.They are working absolutely fine without any error.
Also, If I am saving this list as a template and creating another list with it ,then it is working absolutely fine with 14000 records,so the issue does not seem to be related with no. of records as the template list is working fine.
I have checked the Alternate access mapping setting ,its fine.
It should not be related to lookup,datefield or any other column as the list created from it template is working fine with all these columns.

I am sharing my finding.
1. First install the
KB2552989 (Hopefully you might have already installed it. The KB detetcts it and informs the user.)
2. Then update registry by adding new key for data fetch timeout as mentioned inKB2553007
These two steps resolved the issue in our environment. Hope it might help others as well.

i am trying to connect to my friend's wifi, i have a very strong signal indicated on my ipad, but cannot connect to the internet. Yesterday i connected without any problem, can anybody tell me why i cannot connect today?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

My iPod touch 4th gen. Keeps giving me the error message "cannot connect to the app store when I sign in. I can open the app store and browse it but I can't download anything. I have full signal strength with my wi-fi and safari is working perfect. I turned it off and restarted it 3 times now. I have an iPad 2 and the app store works flawlessly with it. What is going on?
Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

you may be connected to the wireless network but the question is the internet working properly on the wireless network...
what i mean is that i can make a wireless network without the internet so i can save and share files and have other devices connected to the same network access them... but you have to make sure that your internet it running properly... may have to reconfigure the router is your using PPPOE or if it was working prior to your post then try to restart your modem... that usually resolves most issues. -

Can anyone please help! I haven't been able to connect to the iTunes store to purchase music for some time now.
