Cannot delete more than 4 e-mails from trash folder in one go

When I try to delete more than 4 e-mails in one go from the trash folder on my Sony Xperia Z2, the e-mail software crashes with the message: 'Unfortunately, E-mail has stopped'. Is this a bug everyone is experiencing on the Z2?

Thank you Thommo, your instructions have solved the problem. I cleared cache and data which got rid of the 4000+ e-mails in my bin folder. Then rebooted and inputted my e-mail account details. The e-mail app downloaded 157 e-mails from the TalkTalk server. I deleted them, and then deleted the same 157 e-mails from the bin folder... and it worked.

Check that there isn't a different Trash folder to the one with the proper Trash symbol on it.
If you see one in your list of folders rather than a separate one, highlight it, then click on Mailbox...Use this mailbox for...Trash

Cannot move more than 2 mailboxes from exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013

I have been trying to move mailboxes from ex2007 to ex2013with the new-migrationbatch and the new-moverequest command.
I have a DAG-cluster with two servers with all roles.
What happens is that I cannot get more than two concurrent mailbox moves. If I restart the MRS-service nothing happens. I have changed the config-file for the mailbox replication service and currently have these settings:

MaxActiveMovesPerSourceMDB="20"
MaxActiveMovesPerTargetMDB="20"
MaxActiveMovesPerSourceServer="100"
MaxActiveMovesPerTargetServer="100"

What is funny is that when I start a new batch with autocomplete off, only two mailboxes goes to 95% and the rest of them is not even started.
The command I use is New-Migrationbatch -local -Name TestNew -csvdata ([System.IO.File]::ReadAllBytes("c:\temp\exchange\migration\testmigration.txt")) -targetdatabases mdb001,mdb002 -autostart

How do I delete mail from trash folder

I know how to delete the mail from my trash folder one email at a time. I have setting set to remove the trash folder every day, however, it isn't working. I have emails on that have been deleted 2 or 3, if not more days.
Can someone tell me how to fix this, please? This deleting one email at a time from my trash folder is a bit of a pain.

You can delete all of the emails at once from the trash folder. Tap the edit button at the top, tap the red delete all button at the bottom and tap delet all again in the pop up.

Retrieving deleted mail from trash folder

It could be possible with 3'rd party software, but that's assuming you haven't been using your computer much since the point of that delete. And I'm assuming that's unlikely.
What kind of account was this, pop or imap?

Mail from Trash folder moves itself back to Inbox

I've been having a bit of an odd problem lately -- items from my Trash automatically re-appear in my inbox. It seems to have started with an e-mail from about three months ago, and whenever I click away to another folder (Sent, Drafts, etc.) and then click back to Inbox, another e-mail (in sequence according to date) will re-appear.
I have been simply deleting the revived e-mails (assuming they would go back to the trash folder), but I just found out that if I delete one of these e-mails, they are deleted for good.
My trash folder contains approximately 2700 e-mails, and I know I need to look for a mail archival program, but the problem isn't related to a "limit" on e-mails in a folder as far as I can tell.
Anybody have any idea as to what might cause this problem?
Any info would sure be appreciated!

Is there a reason you keep accumulating mail in the Trash mailbox and never permanently erase it? Using the Trash for archiving purposes just doesn't make sense to me. Why don't you create a custom "On My Mac" mailbox folder for that?
The following is what I would recommend to someone having your problem in "normal" circumstances. Your situation is clearly unusual, so don't blame me if it doesn't work for you
1. Quit Mail.
2. In the Finder, go to HOME/Library/Mail/. You may want to make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong -- e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down.
3. Locate the Envelope Index file and move it to the Desktop (to be deleted later if this fixes the problem).
4. Launch Mail again and let it finish re-indexing everything -- it says it's "importing", but it's just re-creating the Envelope Index file.

Cannot delete more than a few music items at a time -- would like to delete all

I don't want my Music backed up onto the VZ Cloud. However, it already was backed up and used up most of my 5GB, so I tried to delete it using the web interface on cloud.verizonwireless.com.
If I go to multi-select (which is, as others have posted, incredibly slow to start up) and check the select all box, then hit the delete icon, it gives me an "are you sure?" dialog, I click OK, and it thinks for a moment and says "We are unable to access your cloud right now, try again later." However, if I only select a few items (1 to some limit less than about 25) it will delete them happily.
It is not acceptable to have to do that. It is also incredibly bad app design to funnel any internal error (which is probably what's happening here, right?) into a catch-all error message that is factually wrong.
Also, if it knows I've "used 5.0GB of 5GB" then it ought to also be able to tell me where that space is, not just list documents.
More time on design and debugging and less on putting "WANT TO UPGRADE?" on every spare bit of white space would have been worthwhile.

I don't have my phone with me at the moment to tell you the exact steps. This may help.
Try going into Settings | WiFi. Then press the Menu button and Select Advanced WiFi.
If there's an option to drop weak WiFi points, de-select it. If there is some battery saving option to turn off WiFi, deselect that as well.
Power cycle your phone.

Script to Delete more than 1 user from the database

I have a list of users in a file and i want to write a script to delete all these
users from my database.
I have tried deleting users using:
drop user user1,user2,user3..... but it doesn't seem to work.
Can anyone suggest how do i read the users from the file and delete them one by one

Cannot delete more than 1 email at a time even when several are selected - and the deletion is slow!

I switched to TB not that long ago and this just started being an issue. I'm trying to delete multiple emails. I will have a bunch selected and hit delete. Only one will delete and it will take forever. They are all still selected but I have to hit delete for each one.

It wasn't an issue when I first switched to TB. I was able to select large groups and hit delete - voila! gone! I use avast - the free version - and I haven't changed any anti-virus, etc. settings.

LG Ally - deleting pop3 emails from trash folder

I have three pop3 email accounts set up on my LG Ally. All work great - however, deleting the all the emails in the trash folder is cumbersome. Is there a way to delete all the emails in the "trash folder" at one? I can only seem to delete them by tapping each email individually and then tapping delete. This is a really slow process.
Also, is there a way to adjust my pop3 email settings so that the trash folder is deleted automatically every so often?

There is not a delete all option to delete all the emails at once for the default email application. You also can not set a schedule to delete the trash folder. There are other email applications with more customization options on the Android Market Place.

This works in many different ways and in lots of apps.
Hold down the command key and you can select from a list (leaving some not checked) to exclude them from the delete process.
To empty all of the trash folder use command-a keys to "select all" and then the delete key to remove them.

It seems that I have solved my issue by performing a full factory reset (erasing all content, something which I had hoped to avoid) restoring from an iCloud backup did not alleviate the issue, I had to set up as a new iPad.
Hopefully anyone else else who has this issue in the future will be able to find this.

With your Mail app open and the listing of the messages, tap Edit at the top right. Then check each circle on the left side of the messages to delete. When you have checked those to delete, tap Trash at the lower right.
Next tap Mailboxes upper left, under accounts select the account, then for the account tap Trash. Select Edit upper right, and at the bottom, Delete All, and confirm Delete All and all will be removed at one time.
