I try to download and install lion from App store but i have this error message ''Cannot download this application, please verify you internet connection''
1- I already did the last update on my snow leopard
2- I have a macbook with duo core
3- my internet connection works well ,
What I should do ? I install lion on my macbook pro and it works well. Why It's doesn't work on my macbook

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:

Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)

When trying to use my banking apps I get the error "Network Required This application requires an active Internet Connection. Please try again". This happens with two different apps from two different banks. One of them works occasionally and have not figured out why. I have cell signal and I am on a strong WiFi network. Same thing happens when I turn off the WiFi too. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the app with no improvement. I can't seem to find any setting that would cause this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -

To use an Apple ID, in the iTunes/App store, requires a payment method be associated with your ID. That can be either a credit card, or if no credit card, you can redeem an iTunes gift card. So, do you have a payment method associated with your account?

I keep getting internet explorer cannot display web page when trying to download itunes. This only shows on half the page where the download link would be. My internet connection is fine. Any idea what the problem may be?
You won't see anything obviously related to iCloud, Jimmy. But if you go to the home iTunes Store page while logged into your iTunes Store account, you should see a Purchases link now under the Quick Links header. That's the only part of iCloud active at this time.

hi, just downloaded the update for mac 10.5.1 - all went well - then tried to open Safari and received this message "YOU CANNOT USE THIS APPLICATION SAFARI WITH THIS VERSION OF MAC OS X" - I have tried downloading Safari again through netscape but that does not seem to work either - ANY IDEAS???? It sounds likely that you have more than one copy of Safari on your hard drive. The one in your Applications folder is the one you should have. The one you're trying to launch is an older version that somehow got moved somewhere else, so that the new version got installed in your Applications folder (where it should be) while the old version is running (or trying to run) from another location.
First, double-click on the Safari application file that you have in your Applications folder. Does it run properly, without error messages? If so, everything is fine. You just need to get rid of the old version of Safari and set it up so you can easily launch the new version that is in your Applications folder.
Are you clicking on the Safari icon in your Dock when you see the error message? If so, do this: Control-click on the Safari icon in your Dock and select "Show in Finder" from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open showing the location of that copy of Safari. If that Finder window is any location other than the Applications folder, delete the Safari file that is in that folder. Then drag the Safari icon out of your Dock. Navigate to your Applications folder and drag the Safari file from the Applications folder to your Dock.
You should be all set, but click on the new Safari icon in your Dock to make sure it is the correct version and runs without problems.

I download an app. But doesn't show up on my homepage. I go to download it again from the cloud and all I get is a message saying "you already download this application so you will be able to redownload the app free of charge" I press ok. Still don't have it

I'm getting this message when I try to open .AVI files that I uploaded from my digital camera, but I'm posting it here instead of in the Quicktime section because I believe that the cause of the problem is more general. When researching this problem, I looked at the info panel for these .AVI files, and the app listed to open them was "Quicktime Player (default) (7.1.3)". But the actual version of Quicktime that I have installed is version 7.4. If I set the file's "Open With" app to be "Quicktime 7.4", it opens fine, but the "Open With" app reverts back to "Quicktime Player (default) (7.1.3)", making the problem come back. I've also noticed that if I right-click on other apps (a PDF file, for example), and choose "Open With" from the popup menu, that I see other versions of apps that no longer exist on my machine (Safari 2.0.4, for example). I think that files associated with these older app versions may be the cause of many of the "You cannot use this application with this version of OS X" issues that have been reported here. My question is where is this list of "installed" products maintained in OS X, and is there a way that I can edit it to remove those product versions that no longer exist on my system. In my particular instance, I'd like to remove "Quicktime 7.1.3" which should allow me to set the associated app for my .AVI files to be Quicktime 7.4 with no possibility of the association reverting to an earlier version that's not only incompatible with Leopard, but also not installed on my system.

KenWhen you associate a file with an application, are you then clicking the "Change All" button? You can rebuild the LaunchServices database. Evidently the location of the command and the database have changed slightly in Leopard from what they were in Tiger. See this thread for the updated instructions:

Also, make sure you don't have the old applications archived somewhere. I've been astonished in the past at just how enterprising the system can be in finding some program squirreled away in an obscure backup folder and listing it as an option to open something.

How can I turn off alert that Safari downloaded this application?
A simple question, with what I'm sure will be a simple answer, but I just can't work it out. I have only just bought an iMac, running Leopard. Using Safari, I downloaded Firefox. Now every time I open Firefox, I receive an alert that says something like "You are about to open Firefox which is an application Safari downloaded from the internet". Usually with these sort of alerts there's a box that you can check that says "don't remind me about this again", but not so in this case.
Where do I go, please, to turn off this alert. As friendly as it is, I don't feel I need to be reminded that I downloaded this application from the internet via Safari, every time I open it up...

You can check a box in Safari preferences to open "Safe" files after downloading but Applications are not one of them. -
PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer run error - "Cannot download the application..."
I downloaded and ran PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer for SharePoint a few days ago, but didn't get far into exploring the software. When I went back and tried to open it today, I received the following error:
"Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files. Contact application vendor for assistance."

According to your post, my understanding is that you got error - "Cannot download the application..."
when running PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer.
I recommend to follow the steps to reslove the issue:
Turn on pop-up blocker in the Internet Browser Settings.
Remove the proxy server in the Internet Browser Settings.

I have OSX 10.7.5 on my imac, my idvd is not working correctly. Should I re-download this version again , do you think that it will help to improve the idvd operation?
First, iDVD is not and never has been part of OS X. If iDVD is not working correctly, then you should investigate possible problems with that application, support files, preferences, or cache.
Of course you can always reinstall OS X if you wish:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
