Cannot get firefox to load onto my computer

for 2 days I have been trying to download Mozilla Firefox 30 to my laptop, Vista XP os and it will not take. I have tried everything from making sure all drivers are up to date to different versions of the program and nothing works. When I do attempt to download, sometimes I get a messge of "thank you for downloading Mozilla Firefox" but there is no sign of it on my laptop, why?
What do I have to do to get it to load?

Try this instead:
*Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps in case your security software is causing this issue.

Cannot get itunes to load on new computer. Widows 7 any ideas???

I have ane wcomputer running Win 7. I cannot get itunes to load. i authorized the unit and all i get is a prompt to repair or delete itunes. When i hit repair it then promps me to delete itunes and that is the only choice I have. any ideas?????

You can only have 5 computers authorised at the same time. If you won't be using the old computer you should deauthorise it.
Don't try to transfer your library via home sharing, simply copy the entire iTunes folder (and all subfolders) across the network or via an external drive. If the media folder is not a subfolder of the main iTunes folder that holds the database files (or you have any media in other locations) then these folders need to end up at precisely the same paths on the new computer as they had on the old one, otherwise as long as the media folder remains a subfolder of the iTunes folder all should be well.

I cannot get iWeb to load on either computer, one running 10.5 and the other 10.6

I need to make an independent web page for my DAR chapter and upload it through them. I cannot get iWeb to load. It will open and then freezes. I've tried it n both the iMac and the iBook with the same results. What am I doing wrong?

Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iWeb's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
3 - launch iWeb and try again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.

Cannot get my iPad purchases onto new computer

My Mac died and when I was migrating into the new one from a backup I seem to have entered the wrong user name in iTunes, which generated a new account.
The email address for the old account no longer exists and I cannot update it to my new one because this is associated with the second empty account which hasn't been set ut with any credit cards or anything. The second irroneous account cannot be deleted and only it can be associated with my only email address.
So I now have an iPad, filled with things I have bought that are not synced to the Mac. I get an option to erase the iPad and overwrite it with an older version from my computer, using an old email address that no longer exists as user name , or to erase the iPad and start anew with the irroneous account which has the correct email address but no content.
I seem to be too old to understand computers anymore. I need help.

I keep my itunes library in on an external drive, so I don't have this problem. To get the files to your new computer, simply copy them into a location of your choosing. This can either be in the music/itunes folder, or somewhere completely different. Then go to the advanced tab in Itunes preferences. Make sure the copy to itunes folder location checkbox, and the keep itunes organized checkbox are selected. If you put the files into the original itunes folder simply hit reset. Otherwise click the change location, and browse to your new music folder. Itunes will then automatically start adding the files into your library.

I am trying to backup some free books I got and downloaded onto my Ipod touch. Now I cannot get it to sync onto my computer. Can anyone help me? I would hate to lose them as they are no longer free.

There seems to only be an option to transfer FROM my computer but not TO my computer from my device.

Overdrive media are not iTunes purchases so they do not transfer with:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
Overdive media are copy protected so you can only read them via Overdrive. I do not understand what you mean by free books and are now paid. Overdrive are typically books for a public library.
You can try looking on your iPod via a third-party program like PhoneView, Touch copy or the free program iFunBox

What kind of problem do you have when you try to access your email? What do you see or not see that is different from what you expect?

Why did my saved passwords disappear, and now even with private browsing off I cannot get Firefox to save the passwords over again. Care to help on this????

The most recent version of Firefox just loaded onto my computer and all of my previously saved passwords are gone. To top it off I went in to the Privacy settings and turned off private browsing in order to start saving my passwords again, and it will not save, it doesn't even give me the pop up to ask if I want to save it. Care to help here? I'm way beyond angry right now, some of those passwords were rather unique and I will have a hard time recalling them exactly so not looking forward to having to reset them...

You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file.
* reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the about:config page to the default value via the right-click context menu
* delete the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed
When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.

I have installed Adobe packages and cannot find the Acrobat extension folder please advise how can I get these applications to load onto my computer?

I have installed Adobe Creative Cloud for teams CC Packages which says that Acrobat XI Pro is installed. Your support page says it does not install Acrobat and I have to look in the Extensions folder for an MSI file. Also I now administer the teams and have accepted the invitation to I received to be a team member and download the apps. The admin page shows that I have been sent an invitation but does not show my account as "ACtive" unlike my other team members. I tried to use the link in the invite to accept it become active but the link displayed an error saying I had already accepted the invite... why is no account not active?
Finally what other product downloads in Creative Cloud do not actually download as part of the Creative cloud Packager for downloading the apps? e.g. acrobat and what else?

If that's not a real email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

I was having major problems too. I ended up completely uninstalling itunes then downloaded it again from http://www.apple.com/itunes/. If you're using firefox, for some reason itunes will not download and I don't know if using googlechrome will also have problems,so just to be sure that it will work on your first try, use internet explorer when you download itunes. In the first table, there are two rows for Windows: one for the ActiveX control for IE, and one for the plugin for Firefox. You might want to grab both. And try the .msi files instead of the .exe files to see whether those work better.
Will either of those install?
It's odd that on a newly rebuilt system your More System Details shows that you have a user.js file, which is an optional settings files used to override your previous session settings. This is not part of the standard Firefox installation, so if you did not create that file yourself, you may want to investigate or delete it. I cannot get firefox to launch

I cannot get firefox to launch. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall without luck. Yesterday I did notice that my menu bar was missing and tried to reinstall a Google toolbar, but, had to close the computer before it was finished. Not sure if the two are related.
