Cannot get report to run using Report Server

I have installed, compiled and now have running the reports server (6i patch5a) on Linux 7.0. I can view the queue, but when I run rwcli60 to try out a report, it always complains about an invalid printer, even though one is defined (but not connected to the machine currently), and if I try destype=pdf, it just hangs for a long while, then writes errors about the Oracle Toolkit.
Is there anything you might have (papers etc) that helps troubleshoot using the report server? (we are not using 9ias currently).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you get error while running SSRS reports.
    Basically, If the Request Management service is enabled, it manages all incoming requests by evaluating logic rules against the user requests in order to determine what\which action to take and which machine or machines (targets) in the farm should handle
    the request.
    By default the Request time out value for Request Management service are as follows,
    RequestTimeout                    : 00:01:40
    RequestExecutionTimeout       : 01:00:00
    So the error throws from RM service for those reports who take more than 1 minute to generate the report.
    To solve this issue, we can stop the Request Management service.
    Or increase the time out
    value by making use of following PowerShell  script.

    $wa = Get-SPWebApplication $waUrl
    $rmSettings = $wa | Get-SPRequestManagementSettings
    $req=$wa.RequestManagementSettings

    I have trouble with sending e-mail and syncing e-mail. Try changing to 1 day sync under settings. It's sluggish but it works for me until they resolve the issue. MS claims all is normal. If you still have a problem you should report it here: https://status.live.com/report/hotmail

    The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
    Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
    However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
    Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
    I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

    I have a Mac Pro Intel Xeon 3.2 Ghz Quad core (mid 2012) using OSX 10.7.5) and cannot get iDVD to run. I tried 7.0.4 and 7.1.2, both from Apple software update and both crash during "loading themes". I am reluctant to upgrade OSX from 10.7.5 because I do not want to loose Final Cut Express 4.0.1. Apple Care no longer supports iDVD. I want a version if iDVD that supports Chapter markers as in iDVD 7.?.? that i used with my old (now deceased) Apple Power PC Mac Pro.

    iDVD 7 should work fine with 10.7.5.  Try this basic troubleshooting fix:
    1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
    User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
    User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder. 
    3 - launch IDVD and try again.
    NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

  • Getting:  "cannot get mail the connection to the server failed"

    I have been getting this message -
    "cannot get mail the connection to the server failed"
    for about a week now. iPhone is 3G,16GB, version 2.1.
    When I try to connect to my companies Exchange server.
    Was working great. Then all of a sudden this happened.
    I have tried from both the 3G Network, companies internal wireless, and my wireless at home, all with same result.
    I have several friends who have the same phone and they reported getting the same thing, but theres is more extensive... not able to get to Gmail accounts either...
    I have done some research on this, and find that others are getting the errors as well, seems to coinside with some update, I checked with our exchange admin and they have made no changes to the Exchange servers.
    We also tried to delete the accounts from the phones, and recreate, no change, still same error.
    Anyone know why this is doing this?

    We ran windows updates on the mail server a weekend or so before this problem on the 28th. One of the updates was a DNS fix that expanded the dynamic port range dns is using. Problem was, in it’s infinite wisdom, MS allowed this range change to include 2883, the AUTD or active sync port. So we had to do a registry change to exclude the port for Active sync only.     my cc2014 will load, then pop up states program closed. cannot get it to run.

    I did read those tutorial files and the CATALINA_HOME and JAVA_HOME are set correctly- these were set just the same on another computer the other night and it worked fine and ran the first time.
    The docbase is pointing to ROOT - as far as i can see in the server.xml file
    - i've tried installing it on a newly installed windows 2000 machine- and it won't work on it either- is it maybe something with windows 2000?
    i'm using the java sdk 1.4.1 and using tomcat 4.1.24 and windows 2000.
    more help would be appreciated, i don't know what i will do if i cna't get this working- i have a week to come through on the project that depends on it.

    Per my understanding that you want to get the current url and create an parameter to add this URL as its value, right?
    gernerally, we can use some code to get the current url but it almost impossible for us to get it automatically as value of the report parameter.
    In your senario, i suggest you to copy the url and specify values when creating parameters.

  • Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed. iPhone 3GS & Hotmail

    I've got an iPhone 3GS and I'm using Hotmail.
    I'm geting the same error message over and over - "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed.". Out of the blue it started on my phone, but then the email worked again for a day after, and then quit working again. I've tried deleting and adding it as a new account. I tried to go back to what might have in-part caused the problem, and the only thing I had done over the weekend was to turn iCloud on and start backing up to it, but the e-mail did work after that for a couple days. I've tried a couple different Hotmail accounts to see if it was a corrupt e-mail in one account, but both accounts give me the same "Cannot Get Mail" response. Creating the "TEMP" folder on Hotmail and moving e-mails there did not work.
    Could anyone spell out in layman's (non-IT) terms what I might be able to try?

    Who is the provider? Do you have two-step verification turned on? Did they change something on their end?

    I too am getting this message. I have been using my iPad for two years with no problems but a couple of days ago I starting having this problem intermittently. I have restarted the iPad when that did not work I deleted the account and reloaded it. Nothing seems to work. I was having the same problem on my iPhone but that seems to be OK today.     An iOS fluke or mail app glitch maybe. Not sure anyone will know why you get it. Do you're ever close the mail app? Try closing it and reset the iPad and see if the message goes away.
    Assuming that you are running iOS 7, in order to close apps, you drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Mail app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
