Reads the error message I purchased an RaLink USB Wireless adapter IEEE 802.11 b installed in an XP Pro system, an Intel D925XEBC2 MB with A P4 CPU 3.80 GHZ
I have 4 gigs of RAM installed but it reads only 2.87 RAM on system properties
I installed the RaLink Drivers and the Ralink interface. I get a strong signal and see that the wifi is there but cannot connect. The 1394 Net adaptor #2 is showing as is the USA wireless card
I was asked to install the PIN which I assumed meant the network security but my keyboard will only input numbers not the letters, otherwise the keyboard operates properly on notepad but not on the RaLink software
Under other devices it shows both the Ethernet controller and the Network controller with a question mark "?".
I have tried uninstalling and starting the computer several times but they will not install correctly.
The windows interface shows no wi fi system at all. After going back and forth now both windows and the RaLink interface shows no wifi system.
When I went to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/detail_desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18717 and downloaded the 32 bit file and tried to install it I got the error.

Your RALink wireless adaptor is not manufactured by Intel, that's why Intel driver download won't help you.
You need to go here (RALink is now Mediatek) to get the drivers for your adaptor

I have a laptop where I have Installed Windows 2008 R2 Server Datacenter edition, the installation went through successfully.
Next I tried to install PROWIN64 which I download from Intel site, to get me access to the Internet. I use Time Warner Cable as my internet provider.
I got another computer with same OS and it works just fine using the Wireless Internet Connection provided my internet provider, this computer has the Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 Network adapter.
If I manage to know how to install the Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230 Network adapter, I think it should work.
If you please let me how to install this Network adapter, that would be awesome!

I have installed the Windows 8 on my MacBook using BootCamp already, but I cannot install drivers for Windows now: I've got only BootCamp 3 disk and it doesn't goo even if I start it using compatibility options. And my BootCamp on Mac didn't offer me to burn cd with drivers for windows as I saw in many instructions. How can I resolve the problem? Thanks a lot.

Go back to Boot Camp: on the 2nd page you get this:
Download the support software and as Windows is already installed uncheck the 2nd box.

What the message says. In iTunes g the the Store tab in ther upper part of the screen and then clink on Authorize this computer.

You can install a 64-bit Windows 7 or Vista version in your Mac. Make sure you downloaded these drivers > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1630 Also, if you have the Snow Leopard DVD you used to upgrade your Mac or the OS X DVD that came with your Mac, you can use it to install the Boot Camp drivers

If version 4 is an upgrade only, you will have to have the serial number of the 3.5 full version.
If you can't find it try contacting Apple with your proff of purchase, they may be able to help.

There is your problem. DVDs that ship with a Mac are machine specific. You will need to purchase a retail copy of the DVD $29.

I don't believe this is possible, but you can deauthorize all your computers and start over if you are concerned.

Cannot Install Drivers for ZR2440w

I have been trying to install the driver files for my new monitor and repeatedly get one message saying that the files installed successfully, to be followed by one saying that the files did not install. When I try to reinstall, I get a message saying "access is denied."
I've attempted to update the driver directly without success. The computer indicates that it is a generic PNP monitor and the best driver (the windows driver) is installed. It will not install the driver files where they were extracted.
My computer is running Window7 64bit. I have administrator rights, so the work-around for Vista does not apply here.
Any advice is appreciated.

Do you have an alternate monitor? If so, I would try unplugging the ZR2440w and uninstalling the drivers that are currently installed for it. After you do that, reboot the computer. Once the computer is back on, try installing the drivers once again and see if that works.

Cannot install Leopard on Intel Macbook

I have an Intel Macbook (2GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD) with OS 10.4.11 installed, and am trying to upgrade to 10.5 with a retail version of Leopard. However, when I attempt to boot from the install disc (which I can successfully do), I cannot install Leopard because of an error message that it "cannot be installed on this machine."
Any help/advice?

Is the Leopard DVD a complete retail version (not an update)?
Is your MBP a very recent one? If you you need a very recent version of the install DVD.
Is your HD formatted/partitioned properly for Leopard (GUID, HFS+)?
You may need to backup your Tiger install (SuperDuper or CCC clone is perfect) and then do an erase and install of Leopard on a blank HD. You can always boot into Tiger (as I do) from the backup, and you can migrate from the Tiger BU to Leopard.

Hello! After 4 days of searching and searching, i found the solution.
1. Restart your PC.
2. Before the windows logo appears, press F8.
3. Select Safe Mode.
4. Install drivers.
5. Restart your pc, this time in normal mode.
6. Plug your HDD
7. ENJOY!!!
