Cannot install on Windows 7 setup.exe freezes.

Hi I am trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection from a DVD by running the setup.exe however, it freezes at around 90% and I cannot continue any farther. I have tried copying the dvd to my hard drive and that gives me the same result. It also did the same thing when I had XP SP3 and I never found a solution. I really need to get this installed so I can finsh a clients site so any help is aprieciated.

I must stress the most annoying thing about it is the fact that Adobe clearly lies in stating that ( in my case CS3) should work on Windows 7. In the article: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/508/cpsid_50853.html on the website there is a claim CS3 has been tested on Windows 7 and should work.....
"In the article `Support policy for Acrobat 7 and 8 on Windows Vista...` no other conclusion is possible. In his answer Bob Levine admitted that Adobe 7 and 8 are supported in Vista.
And of course we can fight about the number of applications working well in Vista but not in Windows 7 and that (quoting Bob:) ´some` applications from C3 work fine in Windos 7.
Later on, there is a statement I recieved by mail that declares the opposite:

But that doesn´t make sense in the light of the promises Adobe makes about CS3 in Windows 7 on its website.
So my complaint is still the same... don't lie on internet about things you must later take back for the sake of commerce. I personally made my decision to upgrade (from XP) to Windows 7 partly because I should still be able to use CS3 (including Acrobat 8).
Adobe is highly (probably even more than Microsoft) arrogant to users who bought their expensive products..

still i am seeing the same error.
My Notebook is Window 7 Home Premium 64bit & have jdk 1.6 32bit.

Cannot install software, getting installer.exe containes a virus and has been deleted

Windows Vista, IE 9. I'm conintually getting the and AVG message when I try to open IE. I've tried to reinstall the Free AVG and I receive the message "Cannot install software, getting installer.exe containes a virus and has been deleted"

There is nothing called part installer using Suite installer. However, you can only Photosohp or any other application using Suite installer. Just launch setup.exe and in the Options screen, select custom install and then uncheck all other apps than Photoshop. Continue installation which should install only Photoshop.

You need to run the .exe on a Windows machine, which is a Download Manager for the ISO. It will let you create a DVD, ISO or a USB media.

Hey there. I have a rMBP that I just used to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The installation went without a hitch, however, I am unable to install the Boot Camp software and thus, cannot install any of the drivers. When I go into WindowsSupport > setup.exe, I get the following error:

Thanks folks. I found out my problem. I installed Windows on a 40GB partition and had only 1GB left and thought, "before I install stuff, I had better open up some room on this partition" and went on with disabling a ton of Windows componens / services. Turns out my problem was disabling .NET 3.5. I reenabled it and the drivers worked fine.

i dowonload setup.exe to my PDA and execute setup.exe..
but i can't execute that install file..

Cannot Install iTunes Windows 8 after Uninstall

I have a Windows 8 machine with all the updates, and a couple months ago iTunes stopped updating. It was running, but it just would not update. I decided to re-install it, and now I get the error below. I have used Revo Uninstaller to remove every little bit of Apple iWare (including Quicktime and Bonjour), registry keys, and traces, but still cannot install it. There are few important thing you need to test as operating system is not getting installed.
1) Once unit is powered on keep tapping the F10 or F2 key and run the Hard Drive & Memory test check if any part fails you need to replace the part.
2) Incase both the test passes you can call HP technical support and order for Recovery disc or click on the link given below to order the disc yourself.

How to install driver without setup.exe?

How do I install the lan drivers (wired and wireless) I got from the download center. There is no setup.exe file in the zip.

Do as follow:
-create one new folder on the desktop with name UNZIP
-extract all files there
-go to device manager and click on device you want to install with right mouse click > properties
-go to tab driver and click on driver update or driver installation
-follow the menu on the screen and when you will be asked to find a driver simply browse into UNZIP folder
-driver will be installed automatically, just follow menu on the screen

Cannot install itunes, windows installer package error

I've been looking around for a solution and I still can't find one that is specifically for my case. I've never had itunes before (well I guess I did but THAT never installed for some reason).
Anyways, I can't install the latest itunes (and I tried itunes 9 as well), it keeps giving me this message:
There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
I tried everything! I uninstalled everything and redid the installation. I did this method with the extract.bat to get the msi files to individualling install from the itunes64setup.exe...the only msi files that don't download and give me that error are the updater and actual itunes msi file.

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
START/CONTROL PANEL/Programs n Features /highlight ASU and click CHANGE then REPAIR,

On windows 8 PC I can't get Premiere Elements 9 CD to start install; no obvious setup.exe etc. Help?

The DVD contains 13 files:
3 directories - photoshop, premiere, reader 9
8 readme files
volumeicon.icns
pepe_dvd_header_flat.png
The deploy and install directories have no executables (that list)
Attempting to download an installer seems to go in a loop where I click "file 1/2" and get a screen I saw earlies.
Any suggestions?

Palm Treo 700p Cannot install. Windows Vista looking for Drivers

Installed Palm software and synced on my Dell with no issues.
Went to install on 2nd PC with Windows Vista Home. Issues. Got new download for Vista 32 and downloaded off site.
Same error puts me in a circle. System finds new hardware. Looks to install driver. Can't find Drive on CD or Hardrive and so keeps in loop. Cannot finish 1st "sync" without driver so install does not complete.
Please advise:
Can I use the Palm device on two seperate PC's (One on NT running fine..now adding Vista Home).
How do I get the drive installed?
How do I be sure NOT to overwrite the data on the Palm when I sync the 1st time on the 2nd pc.

Hello jpmill2 and welcome to the Palm forums.
1. Please make sure that your Windows Vista account is a member of the Administrators group. I would also be sure to check that antivirus software is disabled during the install process.
2. You can use the Treo 700p with more than one computer. I sync my Treo with my office PC running Windows XP SP2 and my Vista Business SP1 machine at home. (And a Mac, just for good measure.)
3. The USB driver for the Treo 700p is obtained by installing Palm Desktop 4.2 (bundled on the Treo 700p software disc) or by installing Palm Desktop 6.2 by ACCESS for Windows [Vista]. You should install the software first, and then connect the Treo after the install is complete. If prompted to HotSync during the install, I aways Skip it.
4. If you Skip the HotSync during the Palm Desktop isntall, you can create a new HotSync ID on the computer with the same name as the HotSync ID on your Treo. Then set the conduits to Handheld overwrites Desktop and then sync.

Cannot install clean Windows 7 64-bit to GPT partition

Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

Procedure
On a Windows 7 Pro 32-bit BIOS laptop, I used Disk Management snapin to initialize the virgin 4TB disc to GPT. In Properties, it said it was a GPT disc. I then created a 1.0 TB partition with Quick Format unchecked (equivalent to DISKPART > clean)
so it would check for bad sectors.
I placed the 4TB disc into the ASUS Maximus VII Formula computer.
I made sure the UEFI BIOS was set to only use UEFI mode.
I booted into the Window 7 Pro 64-bit SP1 dvd.
During boot, ASUS screen said it was in UEFI mode.
Windows installer loaded properly.
On the Windows screen for selecting which partition to install the OS to, I selected the 1.0 TB partition. The following error occurred:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style."
Since the ASUS boot screen said I was in UEFI mode, why does it not let me install Windows to my 1 TB GPT partition?
I then deleted the 1.0 TB partition.
The partition was deleted leaving unallocated space.
I used NEW link to create a partition.
NEW did not work, it just left the unallocated space and did not create a partition.
Since the ASUS boot screen said I was in UEFI mode, why does it not create a GPT partition?
From the ASUS driver downloads page, I also tried loading the
"Intel_RAID_Win7-8-8-1_V13101058" 64-bit drivers during the installation process with no success.

How about your problem now? Based on my knowledge, Windows 7 X64 system is support GPT disk, but Windows 7 X32 system not. According to your description, your disk should be already GPT, this problem probably caused by Windows installation disk problem or
motherboard UEFI boot settings mistake.
Therefore, please check these two points for test. If problem persists, in my opinion, it would be better to contact ASUS suppoort for further assistance with this problem.
