Cannot reinstall CS5 Master with my serial
Hey,
I bought a new MacBook Pro (yay!), and wanted to reinstall my Adobe CS5 Master installation with my current serial.
But because I have a CS5 serial, I cannot find a working CS5 Master installation file, only CS5.5.
How can I retrieve the correct installation file for my CS5 Master?
Unfortunately my purchase is already a year old, so it's no longer listed:

In the world of single licenses an upgrade from CS4 to CS5 would get a new new number, at least in my experience. As far as installing multiple versions (but not differnt localizations, like US and ME, of the same version) no problem, and I often have multiple versions open at the same time for testing and answereing questions here on the forum. -

This is a user to user forum so there is no one here to provide you with a new serial number or to reset your serial number.
It is possible that you are trying to activate an installation of the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom. It is not possible to do so with your License Key. You need to uninstall the existing version that you have installed. This will not interfere with your catalog, Preferences or personal files, it will just remove the application.
Then download the perpetual license from the link below. Install and it should accept your license key just fine.

I have recently performed a clean install of Windows 8 on my computer through the MSDNAA. However when I try to install CS5 Master Collection, the installer will not launch. I have tried a number of solutions for example running the setup in compatibility mode and running it as an administrator with no success. I would appreciate your help.

I have just purchased the student edition of Adobe Master Collection for $900 and have spent the past several days trying to install it, but to no avail. I have been trying many solutions but nothing has worked. I'm already frustrated, as I believe if I am paying this much for a product, it sure as heck had better work. I am running a HP dv6 1230us laptop, which exceeds all of the requirements of Adobe except that my screen resolution can only go up to 1366x768 - and honestly, I think that demanding 900 is complete garbage, as only 17 inch laptops can achieve that, but I do have HDMI and can connect it to an external screen if needed. I am more concerned with the payload failures that seem to be the real culprit. I realize these things happen and I should not be this frustrated, but I do not want to have to take my computer somewhere where they will charge me to install a product I already paid for. I have already tried the Adobe Log Analyzer, which basically told me nothing. Anyway this is what I get when install fails. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to reinstall a disk--with no serial number
My Photosop Elements 9 program recently has been sending me "disk error" messages. Today I uninstalled it, planning to reinstall it. i have the disk, in a clear case--with absolutly no information about a serial number. Unfortunately, I apparently did not register the disk. Now, to reinstall, I need a serial number. What's the process now of being able to reinstall?

First, the answer depends on the exact error that you get.
1. If the error is "invalid serial number", then you must be using the wrong installation media or Operating System. This is the main reason.
2. If the error is " serial number is valid however it's previous qualifying serial number is not found ", the serial number you have is an upgrade serial number, which will require it's previous qualifying serial number which you need to have, previous qualifying versions supported are CS4, CS3 and CS2.
For further easy solution, I would suggest you contact adobe customer support.

have a lost or stolen ipad. I have 2 and an iphone registered. the first one has an expired warranty. cannot contact support because the serial number is incorrect and only the old one shows on itunes.

Hi! I've got CS3 Design Standard - the actual disks and Software License certificate. It was installed on my laptop which crashed and could therefore not be uninstalled. I have now installed it on my new MacBook Pro, but cannot get it registered with the serial number. Is it because it wasn't uninstalled on the previous laptop? What to do now?? Thx!
Maybe this can help someone else... I simply had to properly uninstall CS3 and reinstall it again after that. I think that sorted it! I also remember having a similar issue with Macs at work a couple of years back. Not sure whether the same applies to CS5/CS6. Here's a link on how to properly uninstall CS3 on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS. I'm on OS X 10.9.2 but it worked just fine. Remove Creative Suite 3 and CS3 products

Another case of not being able to install CS5 Master Collection
I'm running Windows 32 bit and I cannot install CS5 Master Collection. I have tried most of the fixes on this forum with no luck. I can't believe this wasn't thoroughly tested by Adobe. I have been buying Adobe products since the early Photoshop days and I have to say I'm shocked that so many are having this problem, C'mon Adobe we need a fix.
I am running Mac and as I had no problems what so ever I am wondering myself why this is the way it is?

Will a CS5 Master Suite serial work on a CS5.5 download just with limited features?
I just got a new computer and can't find my discs that I purchased for the CS5 Master Collection to install it...I got my serial from Adobe's site - will this serial work with the trial download of CS5.5(With limited features)? Or is there still a CS5 download somewhere? I'm just seeing the CS5.5 downloads on the download page - not sure if an old link is still around and active.

Please can someone tell me why I cannot reinstall my upgrade from lightroom 4 (lightroom 3 installed off disc with serial no) my hard drive crashed, and I am trying to get lightroom 3; 4 and 5 back on so that I can link my catalogues and continue work. I cannot install lightroom 5 until the upgrades from 4 are on the pc, (lightroom 3 installed off disc but 4 is a copy of the upgrade download I got when I bought it) These serial no's are legit and are registered under my account with adobe, but it still gives me the Big Red Cross when I put my serial no in! Please can someone tell me why I cannot reinstall my upgrade from lightroom 4 (lightroom 3 installed off disc with serial no) my hard drive crashed, and I am trying to get lightroom 3; 4 and 5 back on so that I can link my catalogues and continue work. I cannot install lightroom 5 until the upgrades from 4 are on the pc, (lightroom 3 installed off disc but 4 is a copy of the upgrade download I got when I bought it) These serial no's are legit and are registered under my account with adobe, but it still gives me the Big Red Cross when I put my serial no in! Please can someone help. I am at a loss. Thx Heidi

You don't need to have Lightroom 3 and 4 installed on your computer to install Lightroom 5. Just install Lightroom 5 and input your serial number for 3 in the previous version box and your serial number for 5 in the upgrade box. -
as my adobe cs 5 master collections keeps having icc profiles and visualization issues, i've tried to reinstall the hole package. my mac book pro dvd reader is broken, so i downloaded from the adobe website a master collection and tried to install it with the serial number i used in the former installation but a error messages says that it's an invalid serial number.
i've already tried to install from the dvd's in another mac and it worked, with the same serial number, so i'm out of solutions.

Respecto a la instalación, repito la lección de ruta es un paso, que puede pasarse por alto, aunque no sé si la instalación convencional reconoce una red entre varios equipos.
No hay ningun mensaje que indique que descargas una versión u otra, tampoco hay o sale ningun mensaje cuando instalas un programa en chino, eso si, al introducir el no. de serie (que no es el adquirido para la versión en chino) te dice que no es válido y punto. No más explicaciones.
Asi que por favor explicanos lo preguntado al rincipio, o vuleve a descargar la versión correcta, en el idioma correcto y desde un lugar oficial de Adobe.
Creo que Adobe te puede facilitar esa descarga a traves de la web "Licensing" con unas claves que te facilitarán si logras ponerte en contacto directo con ellos en tu país, (que tampoco sabemos cúal es). Suerte. -
How do I get a copy of Acrobat with my CS5 Master Collection???
I activated my Adobe CS5 Master Collection (running on Snow Leopard) with a serial number purchased from CDW and everything went smoothly, but after a few days of using the core products I typically use I noticed Acrobat was not included in the installed software.
Now, Adobe lists Acrobat PRO as an included product in the Master Collection and rightfully so since it contans just about every product they make.
When I emailed Adobe about this but the only response I got was some pre-formatted auto-response probably sent to me from the help desk in India or something. The auto-response said absolutely nothing about how to obtain a copy for the Mac, and just had a link taking me to the Acrobat home page, which basically says there is no trial version of Acrobat for Mac available for download.
I gave up on it since I do not use Acrobat very much but now I am in a situation where I do need to have Acrobat Pro to finish a job and I cannot figure out how to get a copy installed with the Master Collection.
There was no disclaimer indicating that you would not be able to get a copy of Acrobat when I purchased the downloadable version vs. buying a boxed DVD set, so I am expecting there must be a way.
Adobe's help has been pretty much useless when I emailed them, and I cannot find anyone with the same problem on Google or in the Adobe forums, so is there someone out there who can give me the answer or help me?
If I have to purchase a seperate copy of Acrobat so be it, but since it is supposed to be included with the Master Suite that would be kind of stupid if I have to purchase a copy of Acrobat seperately.

Adobe, you absolutely SUCK for making it so difficult to install this software. I am normally a fan of Adobe products, but now that you guys have bought out all your competiton you are getting lazy and stupid.
This is the most ridiculous crap I've ever seen when trying to install a product I PURCHASED!!!!!!!
So, after over another week (I have been trying to find a way to install Acrobat with my purchased copy of the Master Suite for MONTHS)... My IT guy finally gets me the installer DMG for Acrobat and now I cannot install it with my master collection because the serial numbers are not the same?
I never got a god damn serial number for Acrobat Pro when purchasing the master collection.
Asking Adobe for help is totally worthless and not even worth taking the time to do so because all they give you is some BS pre-recorded response that doesn't help you with JACK...
