Cannot select Technical Usage "Learning Solution - ABAP only" on ECC Server

Dear Gurus,
        My environment are
        a SAP ERP System(ABAP only) in SMSY with
               Product Version = "SAP ERP 6.0"
               Main Instance = "SAP ECC Server" (as Relevant)
                       Note When I select another Relevant for "SAP Learning Sol-Frontend"
                                   Use in logical components; action not possible (see long text)
                                   Message no. SMSY_EDIT_LANDSCAPE413
                                   ... There can only be one relevant ABAP-based main instance. ...
        Select Product Version = "EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01"
        and Target Stack = "SAP ERP Enhancement Package 4 on NW7.01 - SP Stack 04"
        Existing Technical Usages are
                 - Central Applications
                 - ERecruiting on ECC Server
                 - Financial Supply Chain Mgmt
                 - Human Capital Management
       But I can't add Technical Usage for "Learning Solution - ABAP only" or "HCM - Learning Solution" (The checkbox is in gray color so I can't check it)
       What am I wrong? Please advice.

Hi Choosak,
Try this ,
Go to SMSY transaction then select your system .
In right side you will get the screen where all usage types are defined for your system.
Select learning solution and HCM and save it.
Go back to your solution and see whether you can see Learning solution after that.

MOPZ selecting technical usages with JAVA pre-requisite

Hello all,
Upgrading from 46C to EHP5. Some of the desired technical usage require both ABAP and JAVA system. For example, HCM_Learning Solution has the following pre-requisites
- SAP Learning Sol-Client (Lern, Auth, CP) - all JAVA
- Learning Solution (ABAP)
- SAP Learning Sol-Frontend ABAP
- Portal Content (Java)
So cannot select it in MOPZ since the 46C is not connected to a JAVA instance.
It means the ABAP side reqires two-step upgrade (1) upgrade to EHP5 without the HCM_Learning Solution, then (2) connect to a JAVA instance, select it it in MOPZ, then another ABAP upgrade with HCM_Learning Solution.
Any suggestion how to do the ABAP side in single step - i.e. include the Learning Solution (ABAP and the SAP Learning Sol-Frontend ABAP, then just create the JAVA instance after the ABAP upgrade? Is this a valid scenario?

Hi,
Workaround of this situation is:
Add As Java usage type as well in system definition in SMSY. As a result you will be able to select these usage type as well in MOPZ. But it will give you Java packages as well. You can ignore those packages. And then you can carry out upgrade in a single step.

The customer has provided us some Technical usages that needs to be implement.The customer wants to know the possibilities that if in future there require some more Technical usgaes which were not selected while installing EHP4 , how we can implement that new Technical Usages .

Cannot select Softmotion (10.0.0) because only an older version (10.0.1) is available on the host. How to I tell MAX that 10.0.1 is NEWER than 10.0.0?

I am trying to get my 9512s installed on my cRIO-9074. I just downloaded the most recent version of SoftMotion and installed it. When I try to add SoftMotion Module to my RT Software load-out though I get the error that my host only has an older (10.0.1) version than the supported (10,0,0). How can I reset this so my software acknowledges the newer version?
I never had installed SoftMotion before so I don't know why it thinks I ever had 10.0.0. I also have run the Update Tool and have no updates to perform on any of my tools or modules.

Pre-requisite for Learning Solution Implementation

Dear All,
We were planning for LSO Implementation. But we were not sure about the components that needs to be installed in ECC as well as in Portal. We have LSOFE 600 ( Learning Solution Front end ) installed in our ECC 6.0 server. What else the components that needs to be installed for LSO implementation?
The following were the components available for Learning Solution as per note 529063
LSO - Learning Solution Add-on ( in ECC Server )
LSOFE - Learning Solution front end ( in ECC Server )
LSOCP - Learning solution content player ( in Portal server )
LSOAE - Learning Solution Authorizing environment ( in Portal server )
Do we need to install all the above said components? As per note 600209 LSO is available only for R/3 4.7 version? Which add-on do we need to install for ECC 6.0? Is LSO add-on is mandotory? Any help is much appreciated.

To determine possible landscape components use the Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/learningsolution -> Necessary System Environment (right hand side) -> Continue to Find Realization Alternatives for Selected Scenario "Managing Enterprise Learning Strategies" -> Implementation in SAP ERP (radio button). Options are now available that show the required and optional components necessary for the implementation.

Selection of EHP4 technical usages are all greyed out

Good day
We are currently on ERP6.o SPS 6 and would like to upgrade to ERP 6.0 EHP4. Our system has been defined in SMSY in Solman as an ERP 6.0 system. In selection of Main Instances, ECC Server has been selected as relevant.
In mopz, we create a new maintenance transaction, choose the product version as ERP 6.0 and select our systems. On the next screen we choose "Enhancement Package Installation" and then "find download files".
In the next screen we select the product version and target stack. However, all technical usages are greyed out. When I scroll over it it states that Required Main Instances are SAP ECC Server. Why is it not recognizing the ECC Server as main instance as per smsy?
Please assist.

Make sure that following things are OK :
- Solution Manager should be patched to the latest release
- The ERP 6.0 system must have the product version SAP ERP 6.0. Make sure that it is not accidentally maintained as SAP ECC 6.0.

But I dont know which technical usage to choose.

You may check the attachments in note 1165438 for business function -> technical usage equivalence.
as for usage types, you seem to have listed product instances instead. Perhaps you can also have a look at the product instances -> technical usages equivalences in the attachments to note 1165438
Anyway, the technical usagesI can see right away are:
- SAP Learning Sol-Frontend CP
- XSS Self Services
- SAP FSCM - Biller Direct
- Central applications
- SAP XECO
Netweaver 7 app server ABAP, Netweaver PI, and Enterprise Portal product instances don't have any additional technical usages assigned.
I suggest also the service http://service.sap.com/bfp for a free service that will help you to select technical usages in your EHP4 install.

Technical Usage Selection

Hello All,
We are upgrading our 4.7 to ECC 6 Ehp4 . Once Upgrade is complete, our next Project is Implementation of ESS, MSS.
So 2 separate landscapes,
1) Portal with EP and EP Core -for ESS, MSS :- Separate Hardware is Procured. Installation will start after Upgrade Project is over.
2) ECC6 EHP4 - AS ABAP
Now my question is,
when I am doing the Upgrade, I created 4.7 System in SMSY, went ahead for creating STACK XML file in MOPZ, I need to select Tech Usage Types.
I have selected all relevant Usage Types including HCM.
Do I need to select HCM Self Services also here? I cannot select it- it is disabled (makes sense) because it needs Portal, and my System is defined as 4.7 System.
Am I fine to go ahead without selecting HCM Self Services in the 4.7 System to be Upgraded to ECC?

SMSY recognizes the 4.7 system as ABAP and hence the Self Services usage is disabled.
You can continue with the upgrade (stack generation) without Self service usage type as it is applicable only to the Portal system.
Later if you need the portal also to be referenced in the Solution Manager - create a system for Portal in SMSY with product version as ERP and then technical usage Self Service should be activated.

Even simpler than that.
Clicking once in a text box selects it.
Clicking once in a selected text box places the insertion point in the box.
The clicks do not need to be close enough in time to be read as a double click.
The same behaviour applies to table cells in Pages and in Numbers.

Cannot select photo events with iPhone anymore with new upgrade - can we only use the cloud now?

I used to be able to select events from iPhoto that I wanted to appear in my phone. I cannot use photo stream for various reasons. The last time I synced my iPhone it would not allow me to select any events at all, but only reverted to the recent photo stream ONLY. Which means that none of my old photos can now be found on my iPhone. I hate this - I want some of my old photos. Why can't I select my old events? Please help!

Okay, here's the sequence that 'may' help explain; 1st- My son got an Iphone 4 & wanted to buy songs, etc., so I added his phone to my Itunes acct..--he consequently signs on under my email address (my Apple ID) & my PW. No problem then, it had/has listed ex. Mom's Iphone & Son's Iphone (mine is a 4s, don't think that makes a difference- except in telling u that Siri doesn't work properly now either & refers to my son's name now instead of mine!) As far as I can tell, the real problems began with the ICloud settings on our Iphones--meaning the settings on 'where' to back our phone's- ICloud or to the Laptop (both phones back up to the same laptop.) It's so complicated I can hardly explain it, so sorry if I'm bouncing around! I did not mean to or rather it was not an intentional decision to use the same ICloud, however since we share the same comp. and Itunes account, and basically passwords--it somehow happened. I don't know how to undo this mess! Last night I went to ICloud.com & was able to sign on with my son's @me.com user ID & our Itunes PW (aka-Apple ID.) It really didn't do anything except show me Iphone features, ex. Contacts, Ibook, etc.. I did 'not' see a place where I could change any settings, like to possibly change his Apple ID, or pw...that's all I can think of to change? And even with that I'm not sure how to do that...he's 14, a minor--so he has to be under my settings to a degree. Don't mind at all having seperate ID's, but we do share "some" music and app's for example. Is any of this making sense or even partially explaining my problems? Thank you in advance!

Need help : cannot anymore select local info in site definition only remote

I made the mistake choosing in site deffintion for remote info and not local info
Now it seems impossible to reverse it cannot anymore select local info in site definition only remote
So now I can not make the site normally.
I've closed dreamweaver a couple times and tried it again and even my pc but it seems to be something irreparable?
Does anyone know a better idea than reinstall?

You are on the Basic Tab of the Site definition dialog in DW CS3. Unfortunately, that's also the more confusing way to define a site. Nevertheless, you'll note that there are 3 selections across the top of the dialog:
1. Editing Files
2. Testing Files
3. Sharing Files
Have you already filled out the first two?
A site definition in DW *could* only have the first of those three filled out - you really only need the local site defined until you are ready to upload your files (assuming you are only creating static pages - that is, pages without server scripting).
To define most remote sites, all you need to do is to select that you connect to your remote server using FTP, and then to state the folder within which your website files are stored on the remote server (often this is a folder called 'www' or 'wwwroot' or 'public_html').
In my mind, the better way to define a site is to go right to the Advanced tab - it's less confusing because you just fill in all of the fields without going through this 'wizard-type' interface....
So - does that help at all?
