Cannot select things in Disc Repair

I did a verify disc in the Disc Utility and got this message:
2012-07-25 20:48:11 -0600: The volume Taylor's HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.

I did this but while in the Disc Repair, I was unable to select anything. I tried using the keyboard but that didn't help.
Any ideas of what I can do so I can repair by disc.

Is that what you tried? If not, or if you're not sure, see #6 in Using Disk Utility, especially the yellow box.

I would suggest trying a full backup of the BlackBerry then try to do a clean reload of the device software. Below is an article that will walk you through a step by step of this.

Even when I select a playlist I cannot find the burn disc option under file. How do I find it?

Suddenly I cannot select just one file in a folder, all of them get selected at the same time. Happens in Lightroom also when scrolling through the filmstrip. what did I do?

My Mac Pro is acting wonky all of a sudden. This all began after someone in my family spilled water on the keyboard and tried to clean it up while still turned on. I bought a new keyboard but now I cannot select just one file in a folder, all get selected. Same thing happens in Lightroom 3 when editing in the filmstrip mode, I cannot just select one photo, they all get selected. Plus, after awhile I cannot type in small letters either, just capitals. If I restart it is ok for about 15 minutes then the problems start. I did a reinstall of the OS but it is still happening. I zapped the pram, fixed permissions, etc but no luck. I am on a 2x2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon machine with 900 gigs unused. Any suggestions?

Try also resetting smc.
Also check your keyboard preferences. And just to possibly reset some keyboard related caches and prefs you might go through the "Change Keyboard Type..." (Keyboard tab in the Keyboard preferences).

Cannot select multiple speakers ( airport express)

cannot select multiple speakers in itunes ( have two airport expresses) ... tries to connect and then always times out.

Only firewall I have is what is standard on my mac, and if that is what your talking about, I do not know how you do that UDP traffic thing.

I will try to print from word to the Adobe printer. Sometimes it just freezes. I cannot select another printer.

Sometimes I get an “Unable to Connect” error and sometimes I get “1 document in printer queue”. No matter what printer I choose after I try to go to Adobe, I cannot connect to a printer. The only solution I have come up with is a clean reboot which I can't afford to do 4-5 times a day.

The first step I would try is delete the Adobe pdf printer and then repair Acrobat.
Repairing Acrobat will bring back the pdf printer. We released an update yesterday i.e. 11.0.10. try updating to the latest version and check.
Have you tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.
You might also want to check the performance in a new admin user account.

Cannot select stroke control or swatch panel

I created a line (stroke). I am following along with the Pluralist Brochrue creation video tutorial. I cannot click on the stroke weight options in the toolbar, I cannot select or make changes to the swatch panel options, even though the line is selected. Any ideas?

That's the sort of thing, if it happens in many files, that would indicate corrupt preferences. For that see Replace Your Preferences
If it's only this file, check to see if the object is locked (not likely if you are able to select it) and also see Remove minor corruption by exporting

Cannot select HD destination!!

I recently inherited a Mac mini from my late grandfather's estate. It had a ton of his personal info on it and I didn't want it to potentially fall into the wrong hands so I erased the volume. I used the OEM 10.3 OS X install disc and then used the Disk Utility app to over write the volume 8 times. Now I'm trying to install the OS again, but when I get to the "select destination" option, the drive shows up but has the red exclamation stop sign and I cannot select a volume to install the OS. What did I do wrong? Please help!

Give this a try:
Extended Hard Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger or Leopard.)
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
Quit DU and return to the installer. At the point where you select a destination select the destination drive then click on the Options button. Select the option for Erase and Install then click on the OK button. Finish the installation.
Note that you must use an installer disc that either came originally with the computer or a later version of OS X than the version originally installed on the computer when it was new. If you use a later version of OS X then it must also be a version compatible with the computer and its configuration - amount of installed RAM and hard drive capacity.

ORA-01445: cannot select ROWID from, or sample, a join view without a key-p

I am facing issue with one sql query. It is giving me error:
ORA-01445: cannot select ROWID from, or sample, a join view without a key-preserved table
I am not getting any clue to solve this. On internet, i didn't find proper reason for this error and troubleshooting way and solution for this error. Everywhere i saw one sentence, "Key preserved means the row from the base table will appear AT MOST ONCE in the output view on that table" but it didn't solve my problem.
I have 1099 columns in one select query. so avoiding the actual column list in select clause. Instead I am trying to select ROWIDs from all tables in join. My understanding is ROWID is a unique identifier in table not in database. But though I remove ROWIDs, I get same error. So please don't bother about these ROWIDs.

While trying to sort this error, I found interesting things that made me more confused.
if I remove TO_DATE function from select clause, same join query works.
If I remove any table from join and keep TO_DATE function in select clause, query works.
That tells, there is no problem in query.
Then please anyone help me to sort out the error. FYI. I have googled a lot for this error. but didn't get solution/clue. That is why I am posting this problem to forum.

I think i got the solution. The syntax i was using (ANSI syntax) doesn't work in the oracle database version i am using.
When i updated my query with older oracle syntax, it worked.

Unable to access data after running disc repair

I ran disc repair today as there is a problem with the hard drive. On restart the computer is displaying a login page. I have never had to login and now I cannot access any of my files or applications. How can I access my data?

Cannot select/delete indicators

I have two indications, a text box and a slider (progress bar) that are on my front panel that I cannot delete. These two indicators used to be on the front panel itself but I moved them onto a tab control a couple of weeks ago. Today I went to move them and I cannot select or delete them. If I select them from the block diagram and hit delete, nothing happes -- no warning, no error, no delete! If I double click on the indicators on the front panel, the tab terminal is highlighted on the block diagram.
Any thoughts on how to delete these things?

Funny you should mention that -- I just created a copy of the VI where I deleted everything from the application except for the two indicators and the tab control. I saved the VI, close it, and re-opened it. In this copy I can now select and delete the indicators.
I cannot delete these from the block diagram still. I noticed that I have the two indicators grouped together; this prevents deleting from the block diagram. I'm going to see if I can ungroup them from my original app.
The indicators are in a specific tab.

Cannot select role in AC10 Access Request: VVV urgent

when i try to create request i cannot select role
it says no record found. Did sync job and imported role as well.
I f i selct existing assigment for any user it shows role assigned but disable since its not maintained in ERM

wow , our mistake, since it a sandbox we have teste lot of thing, unfortunately the connector entries and connector group was changed as per naiming convention and we have not made integrated with scenario..

APP-SQLAP-10380: You cannot select this payment document

User did a quick payment. When the check failed to print user voided the check and tried to reprint. Now when the user is trying to reissue the check they are getting the following: APP-SQLAP-10380: You cannot select this payment document because it is in use by another payment batch.
I went through Metalink and found this article: R11i: Quick Payment For EFT Payments Will Not Release The Document To Pay Other Invoices [ID 158828.1]
A query in the metalink article stated that "If this query returns rows then contact oracle support for a data fix."
The query did return rows. However, this is rather urgent and I am unsure as to when Oracle Support will get back to me. I made a Sev 2 SR for this. I was wondering if there was any front end things I could do to clear this payment batch so I could reissue a check?
Any help would be appreciated.
