Cannot share folders after resetting router

I'm on an Actiontec MI-424-WR router and have been sharing folders/files on my main pc to three other pc's in the house (let's call them Bedroom, Laptop, and Living Room). The main pc runs Win7 and the three others run Win7, Vista, and XP. The shared folders/files include music, videos, and pictures. I've had no issues until last night when I reset the router.
I reset the router by unplugging for 30 seconds. After the router came back online, I can no longer see the main pc from any of the other three pc's, nor can I see any other pc's from the main pc. The interesting thing is that when I use the "Test Connectivity" function in the router software, the test passes. Pinging thru a dos command seems to work, I get 4 packets sent and 4 packets received, but I also get an error message "Reply from 192.168.1.x Destination host unreachable", with 192.168.1.x being the pc that I'm pinging from. Pinging thru the router software fails.
The only change to my setup was resetting the router last night. The sharing worked fine right before resetting and stopped working right after resetting. So this is obviously an issue with the router. I suspected some settings I had tweaked a year ago when I first set up the router may have been reset to default, but everything I checked looks like it is still at my manual settings.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be???

If you weren't having any problems, why did you unplug the router? ("Reset" is the wrong term to use here, as it implies use of the reset button.)

Connect Software won't connect to router after resetting router on any of my computers

I had to do a reset of the router. I have done it with the button on back and through the web based interface. I have followed all directions on uninstalling connect after restarting the router. I get an error that says it does not know if it is connected to the internet.. Well it isn't. I have tried numerous times and the connect will not install. I would like to get it back the way it was when I originally installed it. The key does remember the admin and password but it only allows me to get to the web based interface.
I have tried everything I know to get the key to work again to no avail.
Could someone please tell me what I am missing when I try to use the connect software after resetting the router?

So as per the concern you mentioned that Cisco Connect Software won't connect to the Internet after resetting the router... So could you inform us the model number of the Router that you are using it in the Network...
As well as please inform us that who provides you Internet means who is your ISP ( Internet Service Provider ) ? Check if you can go online from the modem connected directly to the computer... If you can browse the Internet then check whether there is any manual IP address given to your computer or not...

It sounds like you did reset your router and now you have to reconfigure the router for your connection. With a hard wired pc open your browser and in the address bar type in http://192.168.1.1 and hit enter. This will open a window asking for a user and password. Leave the user blank and type in admin as the password. That will get you in to the web-based set up of your router. Configure the router for you connection then set the SSID to something other then linksys so you can identify your wirless when you connect your wireless pc/devices. Make sure broadcast SSID is enabled and set up what ever security if needed. Then connect you wireless pc with the information you enterd in your router.

WRT54G IP lost after reset router

After reset my WRT54G router, I seem to cant find my IP address.is it because my firewall in my company is set to 192.168.1.1.before this, my WRT54G IP is set to 192.168.1.109.Is there any way to find the IP. I am using a desktop to configure the router,so no wireless connection.
forget to say, the wrt54G is not my PC default gateway, is it connected to the same switch same with my desktop PC.

WRT54G - cannot share folders

Hi Experts, i have Linksy WRT54G, firmware 7.00.1, am using internet cable (DSL) my network provider shared folders for movies,songs etc....i can open that folder when i connect wire to direct system (not through router) run " //super-admin ", but sharing not open when i connect internet through router how can i set dynamic ip and pppoe ip both?? Please any one can tell?

Cannot share folders

I can see the other computer on the map.
I can see the folders I have set for shared on both computers.
The opposite computer's folders are greyed out though. And in both directions. Meaning if I sit at computer 1, computer 2 is greyed and if I sit at computer 2, computer 1 is greyed.
Both computers have Network Magic installed. Both are fully accessible showing the map, etc. Both are fully updated.
I have been able to share in the past but not since I added these two computers. One laptop died and the other was on its way out so I got two desktops. The laptop that is still alive is not on this system (loaned out).
The two iPod Touches I have show in the map and in the shared folders and is NOT greyed. Which doesn't help since those folders either don't exist on the Touch or are not shareable in the first place. The odd thing is their listings include folders from the other computer. Like the one has a World of Warcraft folder.
Any clues on how to fix this? Sharing files is one of the reasons I love this program. That and staying online is never an issue and fixing a network problem is a breeze.

Cannot set admin after reset of ix2-dl

Hello,
I have used the reset button on the back of my ix2-dl (latest firmware). When I connect to the web interface it asks me to authorize overwriting the data. I agree and am taken to a screen asking me to name my nas and agree to terms and conditions. Once I name and agree it asks me to setup an administrator account. I fill in the form and it returns an error "storage must be available before I can use this feature". The system then loops. I've tried resetting it again only to have the same issue. What can I do here?

The ix2-dl was running a 4.1.x firmware version correct?
What was the reason for the initial pin-hole reset?
Were the initial internal hard disks changed out for another drive(s)?
You may want to try booting the unit without the hard disks, then reset the unit after it fully boots and the web ui lists the "device not ready..." message. After the reset completes, please power down the unit and insert at least one hard disk then boot up again and attempt the setup.
You might need to clean the disks in preperation for the above option in case the issue you are experiencing is due to a glitch in the portion of the firmware loaded to the hard disk on setup.

You may also want to reset your network settings:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Only one variant of the PowerMac G4 could use the faster Airport Extreme Card. The rest used the original Airport card that is pretty slow.
