Cannot Sync iCal with iPhone (2.0.1) and iTunes (7.7.1)

I tried to sync with iTunes this morning and I noticed that none of my calendar items were being synced. I did an search of the forums and found some old solutions. I tried them but none of them worked for me. Here's what I've tried:
1. Logging in to a different iTunes account
2. Resetting the history on iSync
3. in iTunes, going to Info>Advanced and replacing all the info on the iPhone
4. Full restore of the iPhone
5. Verifying that all the items are checked in the Info panel (calendar, address book, etc.)
I get this message when I try to sync: "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone [my phone's name] because a sync session could not be started."
Again, I've tried all the possible solutions. I cannot remember the last time I synced. It may have been before iTunes updated.
I do not use MobileMe. Any ideas?

Here is the procedure:
Move the SyncServices folder located at ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices to the desktop
Trash all the caches in ~/Library/Caches
Restart machine (with fingers crossed)

Ok, mine works now. I went in to my home folder then to library and trashed the iCal folder inside the Application Support folder (this will delete your calendar so you might want to export it-I think you can do this). Then I went to Disk First Aid and restored the system preferences. Then I logged out, logged back in and then imported my old calendar to iCal and then synced. It worked! I think there was something wrong with the old calendar file. Good luck!

On you iPhone, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it one by one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPhone:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, connect to sync and see if this resolves the issue.

ITunes doesn't sync iCal with iPhone after upgraded to Mountain Lion

iTunes doesn't sync iCal with iPhone after upgraded to Mountain Lion. I even tried to use Replace Information On This iPhone and it doesn't work. Any idea guys?

I'm having the same problem. It's as if my iPhone and MacBook Pro now have two separate calendars.
Basically, I have a MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion, 13", late 2011) that I sync via USB with an iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1). Before upgrading to Mountain Lion, all of my iCal events would sync flawlessly. But none of the events I've created in iCal (Calendars) since upgrading have synced to the iPhone. Likewise, no new events that I create on the iPhone Calendar will sync to iCal. Also, changes to an existing event (even one created before upgrading to Mountain Lion) don't get synced either.
Everything else seems to be syncing just fine though (music, apps, contacts, etc).

No you don't. You log into iTunes with your Apple ID but you can use one Apple ID for iTunes and a different Apple ID for iCloud. On your device go:
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and sign in with a new Apple ID
This will only change the Apple ID for iCloud and both devices will continue to download apps and backup to the shared iTunes account.

Still not resolved: cannot sync iCal with either my iPhone or Nokia E71

I have tried everything that has been suggested in these posts, but neither the iPhone NOR the Nokia E71 want to sync with my iCal calendars (I have 4 set up in one iCal application). Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this? It used to work fine, but not is suggesting that the iCal calendar is not "writable".

I have just discovered something else on this issue (which still persists)..when I set up an appointment in the Nokia, it does find calendars to sync with but in Entourage instead of in my iCal? Does this help solve the problem that I have been having syncing iCal with Nokia/iPhone?? Anyone???

Cannot sync Calendar with iphone 3g/itunes

Not sure what happened but I cannot sync calendar with itunes.
Everything else works fine with syncing with Outlook 2007 through iTunes.
What specifically happens is everything will sync and when it gets to "syncing with calendar" the syncing process hangs, never completes.
Any help?

Try resetting the sync history. iTunes > Edit menu > Preferences > Devices tab, click the button. Then try syncing again.

Cannot sync ical from iphone to my mac pro

Hi All
I have tried all sorts and although I ticked the relevant boxes on itunes, I cannot transfer (sync) ical info from iphone to my mac.
I have no info on my mac i cal, everything else like contacts seem to sync no problem!
I have tried using isync instead of itunes as some folk recommended but without any success.
Any ideas??

Before syncing calendar events with an empty supported calendar app on your computer, you need to enter one calendar event in the supported calendar app on your computer - in this case in iCal on your Mac. Make this calendar event up if needed, which can be deleted later.
If there are any calendar events available on your iPhone, this should provide a merge prompt with this first sync for this data, which you want to select.

iSync can't be used to sync anything with an iPhone. iSync can be used to reset the sync history on your Mac, which is done via iSync preferences.

New iTunes: cannot sync calendar with iPhone

I just installed the new itunes and cannot sync my lokal and exchange calender with my iphone and ipad. No problems with the icloud calendars. I must have a solution for my exchange business calender!

Unable to sync iCal with iphone 4S

What a mess!!
I had Mobile me. It worked great. When it was shut down I tried to migrate to iCloud but it didn't work, I guess because I am running Snow Leopard. So I tried to just use iCloud to sync and it didn't work well, I ended up with multiple entries, missing entries, etc. So I scrapped that and went to syncing through itunes. When I upgraded my iphone 3GS to a 4S any old calendars on my mac that were part of mobile me wouldn't sync to the new phone, and I want all my past events there too. So I manually moved all the mobile me calendars in iCal to calendars I created on my mac. I deleted the old, then I redid the colors so that everything would make sense. Certain calendars synced, certain ones didn't, and the issue was not only mac to phone but phone to mac as well. So I manually made sure everything was on my mac and then hit the replace content on this iphone button thinking that it would just put everything back on my phone and now nothing is on my phone! It erased all my entries on my phone. It's all on my computer but nothing will sync to my iphone calendar. This is not what I expect from Apple. I have been a faithful apple user since before OSX, the first ipod, before the imac, and this is a huge problem and one of the main reasons I came to apple to begin with.
Can someone help me!! I need these two to sync for work purposes!

Have you tried deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-tried the photo sync ? The location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

ITunes cannot sync apps. with iPhone

Hi everyone!
I bought a new laptop lately, and I wanted to sync all the applications on the iphone with itunes, but it keeps saying, "please authorize your computer" - which I already did. Then all my apps disappeared from the phone, so I downloaded everything to iTunes again, and tried to sync, but it seems that the apps cannot be synced with the phone. I tried to download every program to the phone again, and then sync it again, but it still won't work. I reinstalled iTunes and visited the support page and tried everything regarding the authorization and deauthorization articles there (administration account, deleticn SC folder from program data etc), and it still does not work. I can see all the apps on the computer, but when I want to sync, it simply won't copy anything to the phone. So I have to download every program from app. store via my phone, and it works perfectly, until I connect the phone with the computer. I searched for an apple email address, but I cannot find anything (I live in Hungary, Europe, and I just realized that the apple support is really poor here).
Can somebody please help or just give me an official apple email address to write my problem to them as well?

I bought several apps, like 6 or 7, and the sync would error out, but the backups would be okay.
I guess I was trying to sync too many new applications at once. I ended up having to download my purchases via iTunes on my computer, then go to Apps on my iPhone in iTunes, and check one at a time, syncing after each, until all apps were installed.
If I tried to do anymore than one at a time, I would get iPhone not connected or trouble reading disk errors while syncing.

Itunes on second computer cannot sync music with iphone

My primary computer for syncing my iphone is a imac and my secondary computer is a laptop running windows with itunes on it. When i set up iphone to sync with the laptop the music would not sync. The itunes version on the laptop can download purhcased songs. So i purchased new music through itunes on the laptop and now cannot sync that to the iphone without erasing all the other music on the iphone. Does anyone know how i can sync the purchased music on the laptop itunes with the iphone?
Grateful for any advice. I am not a satisfied user of apple itunes and iphone. I purchase music on itunes as I believe in paying for copyrighted music. Then when i own it apple software does not allow me to use it easily. Not really fair.

I also could not even manually drag and drop files onto my iPhone from my second computer. I have a video iPod, Shuffle and now iPhone. I drop songs onto both my shuffle and video iPod from THREE different computers (work, home and laptop). Are you telling me for some wacky reason we now cannot use more than one computer to drop files onto the iPhone?

Cannot sync library with iphone

I just upgraded my iphone and itunes to latest sw versions. However I cannot sync my music to my iphone. I see everything in my itunes library, but cannot figure out how to sync to my iphone.
