Cannot test website on local server
I have one website that I suddenly cannot test on my local
server while
in Dreamweaver. Other sites work fine. I checked the
application
settings and I don't see a problem. Anyone have any clues??

Not without some information. What are your site definitions?
What server
model? Is the local server IIS? Apache? Something else? What
error
messages are you getting? Could this be a permissions
problem? You said
"suddenly" .. what if anything changed in your configuration?

I am trying to set up my Wordpress 4.1 site with MAMP 3.0.7.3 in Dreamweaver cc 2014, but I am getting a "Cannot connect to server" error when trying to view the site live. Think I'm getting closer (Lol). I did as you suggested and changed the web url to http://localhost:8888/Documents/projects/whoknew/. As you suggested I moved the local site to the Documents folder under the sub-folder projects. It is connecting to the server, but now I am getting the requested url cannot be found on the server. Below are screenshots of my current settings.

RD Gateway Manager cannot connect to local server
Hi,
I've come across a problem today where I'm unable to connect to our locally hosted RD Gateway server. We have one Server 2012 R2 machine with the Remote Desktop Services installed. The system was setup following the configuration wizard in Remote Desktop
Services section of Server Manager. One of our users has gone to connect to the main remote app hosted by this setup and received an expired certificate error. No problem I thought, checked the certificate on the server and it does indeed expire today. I'll
re-issue a self signed certificate through the RD Gateway Manager and all should be ok. On loading the RD Gateway Manager, clicking Connect to RD Gateway Server and selecting Local Server I get the following error.
"The RD Gateway Manager snap-in console cannot connect to the server "SERVER" because it is not a RD Gateway server."
I've checked that the services for remote desktop are running which they are, and I can connect to the server using standard RDP remote desktop. Any ideas on where to go next to solve this problem?

It seems the issue related to certificate as can’t properly configured. You need to import the certificate and store in local computer/personal store. Please check below article and verify the steps for certificate and other related setting,

Loggin in to remote website admin redirects to localhost on local server!!
This is definitely a new one for me. I have developed a Wordpress site locally then uploaded to the remote server. For some reason when I log in I am redirected to the localhost and the version installed locally in XAMPP. I have tried clearing the cache in Firefox but to no avail. When Apache and MySQL are turned off in the XAMPP panel, it still tries to redirect to the local server and I get the "Problem loading page" error.
Also, strangely, when I turn off XAMPP the CSS for the site on the REMOTE server doesn't display! Any ideas short of deleting and starting over? I can't even get into the admin of the site to change the password.I made all the changes to the config.php file for the new database name, password and username and everything was running fine yesterday. I only noticed today that the CSS was broken when XAMPP was turned off. I may just reinstall the database, it will take less time than trying to figure it all out.

If you don't have permission to access that server, you could be prosecuted for even attempting to access it, if you would get caught - access logs are kept for most all local networks for all network connections made or attempted. As far as bypassing it, if that server is the only way to access the internet from the local network you are using - good luck. Any network admin "worth his salt" would have that covered to protect his job and protect the network he is responsible for.

Cannot add Coldfusion 10 as a local server to Coldfusion Builder 2
My computer has the following specs.
1. Intel T7200 (Quadcore 1.73Ghz)
2. 64 GB SSD + 500 GB HDD
3. Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit
4. 4GB RAM
I installed a fresh copy of Coldfusion 10 on C: drive and a fresh copy of Coldfusion Builder 2.0 on E: drive.
I followed the directions provided by Adobe to setup a local server and keep on getting "Unable to find JNDI port. Ensure that you have provided correct server information."
When I change it to a remote server, I can browse the server's objects with CFB 2.
I would like to install it as a local server but can't get it to work.
Does anybody have any ideas why this might be happening?

Step 1
Step 2: I selected CF 9.X because 10.X was not avilable. Under server home, I tried "C:\Coldfusion10" and it would not let me move forward. As a result, I added the "/cfusion" and it showed the version number.

This is my first post in the forums. Please forgive me if it's in the wrong category or if it's not posted correctly in any way.
I'll try and give you below as much information about the problem we have here as I can.
What we have:
- an on-premises Windows 2012 Standard server that is the PDC, DNS and DHCP server;
- a second Windows 2012 Standard server with the sole purpose of hosting our Exchange 2013 CU7 server;
- Windows 7 PCs with Office Home and Business 2010 v.14.0.7143.5000 (32-bit);
- Outlook 2010 connects through Outlook Anywhere (mail.ourdomain.com).
The problem:
If trying to set up Out of Office through Outlook on the client PCs, we'd get an error message: 'Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later.' Interestingly, it does work normally for some users.
It works fine for all users if done through OWA.
Tests performed:
User 1 on PC1 has the problem. User 2 on PC2 doesn't have the problem. Both users are members of the same security groups.
- setting up User 2 on PC 1: the problem exists;
- setting up User 1 on PC 2: the problem exists;
- setting up a second Outlook profile on PC2 within User 2's domain account (the one that works), for the same User 2: the problem still exists!
I haven't been able to set up an Outlook account that works since this issue was discovered, although there are existing Outlook accounts that do not have the issue.
Let me also point out we have another issue we are working on and which may or may not be related: the Autodiscover function in Outlook doesn't work. Test E-mail AutoConfiguration results in 'Autoconfiguration was unable to determine your settings!'.
I can see postings in the Internet of other people having the same problem with OoO, but couldn't see a solution that fits my case: some existing accounts in Outlook are fine, other are not and newly created profiles of aforementioned working accounts do not
work. The majority of the articles/threads I read suggest recreating the Virtual Directories in Exchange, but we did that just a month ago (when troubleshooting the Autodiscover problem) and besides if the problem is in the Virtual Directories, I would expect
it to affect all accounts.
Any help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need other details.
Apologies if the posting is not in the right place or not done properly - I'm still learning.The IIS log files on the CAS might tell you something. Depending on how your proxy server handles NAT the IP address of your connection might be from the proxy server instead of your client.
In any case, a tool like Fiddler (http://www.telerik.com/fiddler) can be extremely helpful in working on problems like this because it can decode the SSL traffic on the client and you can see what's being sent
and what's being received.
Another thing to check (although it's unlikely to be your case) is whether or not your browser (when you try connecting to the autodiscover URL) thinks it's in the "Internet" zone. the "Local intranet", or at a "Trusted" site.
The domain names you use on machines on your LAN should be excluded from being proxyed. Anything with "." in the name will be set, unless excluded, to the proxy server.
Is the time correct on the client machine? Is it more than 5 minutes different to the Exchange machines and domain controllers? That'd be something that would cause Kerberos to fail.
A certificate can be a problem if its expired or if it doesn't have the correct names. But I wouldn't worry about the uglog.com domain just yet. Until you get the Autodiscover working with the SCP you have bigger problems.
If you've never used a WPAD file then don't worry about it. It's very useful if you have a complex network and you want to manage how browsers connect to servers. For example, if you have multiple proxy servers the each manage a different set of names, an/or
if some names should bypass proxy servers entirely and just connect directly. If run a strictly Microsoft network with only Microsoft product that you can manage with GPOs (and you can enforce those GPOs on every machine -- even the BYOD ones) you probably
don't need a WPAD.

Multiple websites on one server
I've been trying to create multiple (two) websites on one server, with little luck. One sight works fine. I've tried creating a DNS entry for the new one, but I'm not sure what to set the IP to. I've tried many configurations of IP/hostname but nothing seems to work. Occasionally, the logs just disappear from the logs window.
I've read on here that it's possible to run multiple sites off of one IP, so I feel like that is not the problem. Ideally, I'd like to have one of the sites not exist in the System/WebServer folder. If I place the site folder outside of that folder, do I have to add its folder as a share point and/or modify its permissions?
Server version is 10.6.3I'm going to distinguish the web browser (client), the web server, and the DNS server here, and will treat these as running on three separate computers. You might have one or more of those co-located on one box, adjust these references to your configuration as necessary.
The DNS translations are applicable only on the client; on the host box that is running with the web browser. The web server doesn't care about the DNS translation. The client needs the DNS to get the IP address of the web server, and it's off to the races from there.
Again, DNS translations are not relevant the web server. The particular web server that gets selected (Apache Virtual Host, what Apple calls a "Site") based on some information that is passed within the http (don't start working with https quite yet) connection from the web browser into the web server.
As for your DNS question, you'll probably want a CNAME (alias) entered in DNS database for the virtual hosts, even if you're awash with IP addresses. That alias must then match the name of the web server "Site". For testing, you can enter what amounts to CNAMES into /etc/hosts on the client, depending on your local set-up and your DNS server.
By default, the connections to all virtual hosts are via port 80. Stay there for now.
The web server selections are sensitive to the order of the "Sites" in the listing in Server Admin, too; you'll want the wildcard site (if you have that) at the end of the list.

Hi, I'm developing some reports using Crystal XI on my local PC, using an Oracle 10i back end on a separate server. The SQL for the report is in a method in an oracle package.
When I set the datasource location, selecting 'Oracle Server' then entering the details works fine, and the report runs. However, when I try to use an ODBC connection I get the following error:
Database Connection Error: 'Cannot obtain error message from server.'
The ODBC link is set up as a System DSN, which works fine when I test it. I think I need to use ODBC as some of the reports (which I inherited) seem to fail when run on the Crystal Server, and it seeme to be the ones set up with ODBC which work.

It sounds like your NI-DAQ installation may have become corrupted. I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the DAQmx 7.4 driver to correct this problem and ensure that you're up to date. This download is available here: NI-DAQ 7.4
If the problem persists you may want to uninstall and reinstall LabVIEW and then NI-DAQ in that order. The error message will usually give an indication as to which VI the error occurred in. Please let us know which VI is failing if you're unable to avoid the error with these suggestions.

AS3.0 socket script doesn't work with flex coldfusion local server
I am having a real problem using my script in flex coldfusion
project. I tried everything I can to get an answer including
posting a question in two groups with no success.
I created a class that goes and connect through a socket
connection and it works fine under “basic” flex
project, however when I try to use the package in a flex coldfusion
project I keep getting error messages:

It looks to me that because there are two URL
http://localhost:8500/ProjectName/bin/fileName.
and

The player set the security in full effect and I cannot
access other servers. I tried everything including setting the
security and adding my local server to the approved servers.
This is a real problem because I will not be able to test my
application locally.

In addition, this issue may also because your client didn't have CA certificate of your domain. Please make sure that your client has CA certificate.
Besides, the error "The client could not be authenticated because the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) Type cannot be processed by the server" may be due to that the default maximum transmission unit that NPS uses for EAP payloads is 1500
bytes. You can lower the maximum size that NPS uses for EAP payloads by adjusting the Framed-MTU attribute in a network policy to a value no greater than 1344:

Cannot send mails to mail server. (The operation has timed out.)
I have configured database mail in sql server 2008 r2 on my local machine.
While testing I have observed that some of mails are not getting triggered.
Log file shows following message-
The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 7 (2013-04-30T10:23:57).
Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (The operation has timed out.)
I have wriitten on SP for snding mails which sends 94 mail to different ail
address out of which only 35 are getting delivered.
