Long story short: Simply get CC for teams. At 500 bucks a year it's a steal and those 5 licenses in the base package (or was it 10 even?) cover all your computers, at least the 3 ones you mentioned. For system requirements refer to the individual product pages.

  • Cannot Update Decimal Places in General Settings

When I try to update the decimal points in the Administration > System Initialization > General Settings > Display path, SAP B1 gives me the following error:
"Cannot update while another user is connected to the company."
I am the only one on the system as "manager" with "Super User" and "Full Authorization"...
The SAP B1 Guide titled "How to Make Initial Setting in Business One - US" says "you can change these settings at any time".
QUESTION:  What might be stopping this change, and more importantly, how do I get around this error to be able to change the decimal points?
    Thanks all - Zal

    Hi Zal,
I agree with you about the strange messaging used by SAP.
But blocking the possibility to decrease the decimal places is extremely important.
Suppose you have inserted a sales document with two items in this way:
Item 1 ___Qty 1,234  ___Unit price 1,22  ___Line total  1,51
Item 2 ___Qty  5,756 ___Unit price 3,15  ___Line total 18,13
    ____Document total 19,64
Then, someone wants to change the number of decimal places of the quantity from 3 to 2.
    What happens would be:
Item 1 ___Qty 1,23  ___Unit price 1,22  ___Line total  1,51
Item 2 ___Qty  5,75 ___Unit price 3,15  ___Line total 18,13
    ____Document total 19,64
If you try to do the calculations manually you will see that the results are not correct. In fact all the document would have to change in:
Item 1 ___Qty 1,23  ___Unit price 1,22  ___Line total  1,50
Item 2 ___Qty  5,75 ___Unit price 3,15  ___Line total 18,11
    ____Document total 19,61
Also if the document total will show correct (in the case of rounding the second decimal position of item 2), the totals of any line is wrong. In fact there is no recalculation at all in SAP (and must not be done).
Imagine such a modification over thousand of documents and all of the descendants (mainly if the have lead to printouts - as say confirmations - sent to customers or vendors).
None of the economic figures will match.

My laptop has no problem before. Recently I try to install Windows XP. First attempt fail, so I change SATA at BIOS from AHCI to Compatible, success. However the partition that I want to install Windows XP to is not available.
So just to test I choose my Windows 7 partition. Since it want to format the partition, I cancel the installation. After restarting windows, it stuck at bios. I restart again and change SATA to AHCI. Restart, still stuck at bios. This time I cannot enter BIOS, recovery or change boot media. Assuming the boot sector has corrupt, will reseating the cmos battery will fix this  problem. Please help. Thanks in advance.

    hi kiebloom,
Yes, you will need to boot without the HDD to try and access the BIOS again. If you're able to access the BIOS using this method, reload the BIOS defaults by pressing F9 then press F10 to save and exit.
From here, you can try to:
    1. Re-insert the HDD and press the OneKey Recovery button to reinstall Windows 7
    2. Create a recovery disc for Windows 7, format the HDD and downgrade to Windows XP
    3. Dual-boot Windows 7 and Windows XP (see this guide)

  • Cannot update BIOS anymore

Hello, i cannot update my BIOS anymore and i need some help, here is what happened: i bought this laptop somewhere in 2011 and i bought Windows 7 (i accidentaly got 32bit instade of 64bit because i forgot that in this laptop is 64bit cpu) and near the end of 2011 or at begining of 2012 i installed BIOS update from HP support assistant, and in 2013 (i think) i got notification from HP support assistant about new BIOS update and i tried to update it but i couldnt run setup because my 300GB local disk C and 2GB HP_tools F disks were both totaly full so i gave up but now in 2015 i remembered about that update and i cleaned my disks and opened HP support assistant and checked for updates but it dosent give me option to update my BIOS anymore, please help.
If you need my computer specs let me know.
    Sorry for my bad English.
    Please reply.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You're welcome.
There are several bios versions listed between your current one and the update I linked to, however most of these just add support for newer models - HP bios updates are cumulative, so any fixes/enhancements etc in previous versions will be applied by installing the latest.
However, I don't believe the update will give you the option of disabling (ie Fixed Mode) the Intel gpu - in fact, the only real benefit of upgrading to this bios version is if you're considering running Windows 8 as it adds support for Windows 8 'wireless button' control.
On balance and if everything is working Ok at the moment, you may well be best advised not to upgrade ( unless you're considering Windows 8 ) - if you do decide to update, flashing back to your current version from a much later revision may not be possible ( this can be blocked if there's a known issue with reverting ).
At the end of the day, flashing the bios always carries a small risk.
    Best regards,
    DP-K

  • Cannot update BIOS on Satellite L40-14H

    Hi, guys!
I`m actually use L40-14H notebook with 5.40-WIN BIOS (for XP). When returned to Vista x64 I try several times to update BIOS to 1.90-WIN (for Vista) in Windows mode, but nothing...
Any ideas how to do that without USB floppy?

    Hi,
Just nothing, only Command Prompt screen splash for a second and nothing more. Although account is Administrator I use "Run as administrator option", but no difference - no errors, no messages.
Possible is not working in Vista x64, I don`t know...
Do you know the difference between 5.40-WIN (for XP) and 1.90-WIN (for Vista)?
PS: Sorry for my english. :)

  • Cannot update BIOS on Tecra A9 due to the admin rights

    Hello,
I want to update the BIOS of my A9 Tecra from 1.70 to 2.10 for (Windows XP SP 2).
When I start the update (P0054v210.exe), I get the error message: "[Error] The starting of service was aborted. The user does not have administator privilieges".
    The eventlog entries are:
    Application:
    ErrorCode: 9
    Source: CHGBIOS
Description: "CHGBIOS" (The complete message are on german and this forum not allow german error messages, because they "contains profanity or inappropriate language")
    System:

Description: "NCHGBIOS2SVC" not found. (The complete message are on german and this forum not allow german error messages, because they "contains profanity or inappropriate language")
I started the update as the local Administrator but it doesn't work.
    Can someone help?

Ive heard that the common modules are very important, so I would reinstall the common modules and try the BIOS update again.
Are you sure your Antivirus is not blocking the BIOS update? Disable it and see how that goes.

  • Cannot update BIOS on Satellite A665

    Hi
I desperately need help with updating my BIOS on Satellite A665 as my battery is not charging and the site says for me to update BIOS but it is not letting me update saying battery is less than 10%.
Please someone help me as I have no way of using the laptop without AC power always present.

    Hi
What is your current battery level?
I think the BIOS update will prevent updating if the battery level is too low - this is a security feature.
In case your battery will not charge please try to disconnect it wait a second or two. Then connect it again.
    Still the same?
If so please let us know which BIOS version is in your system today.
    Thanks
    Tom

  • Thinkpad A30: Cannot update BIOS

    Hi,
    I have a Thinkpad A30 2652-3WG BIOS v1.03, which I recently revived, installing Windows XP SP3.
I noted that the graphics driver required BIOS v1.14 or higher. Having an old BIOS v1.03, I downloaded BIOS v1.19 and tried to update.
But no matter what I do, whether I choose the floppy or non-floppy version, or even an older BIOS: When I get to the point where I answer "Yes" to start the BIOS update procedure, I get the error:
"System program update is currently disabled. The process has been canceled."
I have checked through all options in the Bios setup, as well as in the Thinkpad Configuration tool in the Control Panel, but I cannot find any settings for enabling/disabling Bios updates. The only think I've found, is an option to enable update through LAN, which is enabled by default.
    Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forum!
A complete shot in the dark on my part, but doesn't cost you anything to try: remove the CMOS (BIOS) battery for an hour, and the main battery at the same time. Keep the machine unplugged throughout this period of time.
Before doing all of the above, please make sure that no Supervisor or BIOS passwords are enabled, so you don't get locked out of the system.
Plug everything back and see how it goes.
Good luck and let us know.
    Cheers,

  • AE2280 - Cannot update BIOS

I'm working on a Wind Top AE2280 that freezes in sleep mode occasionally, so I'm trying to update the BIOS - no luck.  Using this download: msi.com/service/download/bios-17021.html
There are two folders, BIOS and EC.  Using a boot disk and trying to run flash.bat in the BIOS folder, I get the following error:
    PDR Region does not exist.
Error 25: The host CPU does not have write access to the target flash area.  To enable write access for this operation you must modify the descriptor settings to give host access to this region.
Also, running flashec.bat in the EC folder appears to work, but the version number in the BIOS does not change.  (Are these two separate BIOS components/flash images or just two different ways to update the BIOS?  Confused on this ...)
    Thanks for any help!

First you'll have to check which bios your AIO is running now.
Flashing the wrong BIOS & EC can permanently brick the device.
If it's running on EC 1.xx you'll need to use bios 170Hi and EC 1.50
If it's running on EC 3.xx you'll need to use bios 170St and EC 3.30
Currently V1.30 BIOS, EC 1.10, so I'm on track here.

There is a ME jumper which need to be removed to bypass the protection
Makes sense, where is this jumper?  (Better still, where are the technical manuals for these?)
The access panel for the miniPCIe slot shows two jumpers, assuming it is one of these since they are the only ones accessible without completely opening the machine.  Taking a closer look but so far I see no markings on the motherboard ...

  • Cannot update BIOS (win7)

Hi. Recently (12.3.2015) a BIOS update came out (SP70426, F.60Ap1, 9,79MB) and I proceeded to install it with HP Support Assistant. It downloaded withot any problems. After that windows restarted, but it took me straight to the log in screen and everything was back as it was and this bios update was still available to download and install. I tried again, but with same results. I had problems instaling older bios updates, but that ones at least gave out an error message, this one goes through without any problems, except it doesn't do anything.
    I use Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1
    Please help and Thank You.

    Hello @Almori ,
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at Commercial Forums.
Even though this is a Commercial product, you could reset the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings.  This should help with the update that has not gone well.
    Thanks.

  • 10.1.0 won't update, can't change preference settings

My Vista OS seems to be preventing me from making any change to my Reader updater AND I've discovered that the settings are incorrect.  I want “Automatically install updates” selected instead of “Do not download or install updates automatically” and the choice does not stay selected.
ALSO, I tried to check for updates manually-- I opened Reader, clicked on “Help” then clicked on “Check for Updates” – got message: “Update failed -- To update Adobe Reader you need administer privileges on this machine.  Error 1200”
Strange, because I AM the Owner/Administrator on this machine!!
I think I have traced the possible problem to “User Account Control” as it is the window that pops up when I make a change in Reader.  But I have not been able to turn the UAC on or off.
Any suggestions as to how to get out of this mess would be SO appreciated!!!  I need to eventually get the latest update installed and keep the updates coming, as I'm concerned about security.

Message in Window "Installing UEFI winflash 0.02"
There is an error occured, please check below items.
    Bio Version above 190.

    thanks for any help

    Hi
I have no idea what notebook or system you are using but according to the error message you have used wrong BIOS.
The error message BIOS version above 1.90 means that your notebook is already flashed with a higher and newer version.
