Cannot update- resuming, but file changed on server?

Hi all,
I'm working with Captivate 3, update 2- when I run the
updater from inside Captivate, I get the message "You're resuming a
download, but the file on the server has changed."
I searched the kb, no luck.
I've tried deleting all the Captivate-flavored files from
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Adobe\Updater5\Install and starting the update again, but the
problem is not solved (and the files I deleted are recreated).
Please advise a solution? (We are fully licensed users.)

Yes, I encountered this myself when attempting to update. I
reported it to Adobe and have since been contacted back that come
Monday, I'll likely see a link to download it directly instead of
using the Adobe Updater.

Now, the only thing that has changed is a rebuild of our
ISA2004 gateway / firewall, but I created a rule that allows my
computer unrestricted outbound access to the internet, and it still
does not work. I have tried a couple of different computers on this
network, each having the same result.
I've imported the connection key on my home adsl connection,
and it works perfectly.
Any ideas on where to start or what might be causing this?

Yes, I did manage to get this working.
In the ISA Server management program, under configuration
then add-ins, there is one called "FTP Access Filter".
After disabling it, contribute started working correctly
again.

I need to change my ID on my iPad cannot update apps ID is changed with apple but not on iPad

I have changed my ID with apple but cannot figure how to change it on my IPAD. I have reset all and it didn't fix it..I have signed out and signed back in and it didn't fix it. I cannot update apps because ID is different now what?

Your post is in " iChat " which is an App on Mac computers.
You could be using an Apple ID in iCloud on the iPad or in Messages or in fact both.
If it is an ID issued by Apple it may also be used in the mail app.
We would need to know more before offering suggestions.

How do I update template-related files on remote server

I've created a template as a way to keep the pages consistent across my intranet site but when I need to make changes to the template, I'm unsure how to update the remote files to follow the changes. In order to update locally, I go to Modify>Templates>Update Pages but how do I get my remote files to sync to the local file changes created by the template change? Is there a setting somewhere that allows remote files to follow local file settings that have been changed by a template?

I don't necessarily need FTP setup since the remote server is local as well (intranet site on web server located in-house). But I've tried syncing the files within the files panel group by doing Site>Synchronize and choosing "Entire Site" and "Put Newer Files to Remote". It then analyzed the files for a while but didn't do any updating after all its analyzing. Is this what you're talking about, Thuy?

Patches applied but no changes in server

We recently updated SUP server by applying SP05 patch to existing SUP 2.2 server. The job of patches was successful and theres a change in the version of SUP also noted as in screenshot. But the changes actually looking in the attached document ( Custom Icon,Accordion,collapsable,switch,button icons and check box group )are not being appeared.
What could be the possible conditions for this to happen?

Dynamic update of pdf files on web server with xml

Hi forum
Is it possible, to make a pdf form quiz, on a web site, there are updating it contents every day just bye replacing a xml file there have the text for the questions.?
I just need some guindes or ide how to make this. ( i am new in xml/ dynamic pdf files)
And do i need a LiveCycle form server to to this ?

I will like to get a mail (xml is fine ) but with the selections the user select in my pdf file. ( They can select 1 to 3 inside the drop down list )
Now when i try i only get the source xml, there is used to create the questions.
I can't see the selection from the user of the form

Cannot update to iOS 5 because Apple server can't be contacted

I have tried updating my iPad to the new iOS 5 software. At first it kept telling me that the update failed because the Apple update server can't be contacted.
I then tried to resolve this problem by restoring my iPad but the restore process is also failing. I keep getting the message "The iPad could not be restored. Un unknown error occurred (3004)".
Now my iPad is unusable. It displays a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an iTunes logo on its screen.
I have read somewhere that I need to edit the "hosts" file at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc to include the following line:
# 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
This has not solved the problem.
Does anybody have any advice?
I am using Windows 7. I have the latest iTunes installed. I am using a proxy server (in my dormitory as well as on the university campus), but I can still access the iTunes store, so I don't believe that this is the problem.

Cannot connect to database after change of server ip

hi gems..
the ip of our database server has got changed.
Windows server, 11gr2 database version, archivelog mode.
i have changed the tnsnames.ora and the listener.ora manually with the new ip.
I am able to connect to sqlplus "/as sysdba" (since authentiacetion services is NTS)
But i am not able to connect to 'sqlplus sys/password@sid as sysdba'
it is throwing the error of

Will updating to OSX Mavericks change any server settings on my MacBook Pro?

I am connected to my schools servers, and I wonder if anything server settings are changed if I update to Mavericks.
I suspect everything will be exactly the same, but I want to be sure before upgrading.

Ssytem Preferences > Accessibility > Seeing ...
... and turn off VoiceOver. That may also solve the other issue.

Update installed but no changes.

Hi there. I upgraded to Mavericks last night. I also had iWorks '09 installed on my machine. I was running Pages 4.3; installed from a disk when I puchased my iMac. After installing Mavericks I showed updates available for Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and iPhoto. I clicked the "update all" button and things ran as normal. No error messages or anything. The App Store shows that all three iWork program updates as "installed." The only problem is nothing has changed. Dock icons look the same, and is I select "About Pages" from the menu it shows I am still running Pages 4.3. Same goes for Numbers and Keynote. iPhoto updated.
I have seen that people are having issues even downloading the updates if they have an installed version from a disk but that is not the problem I have. Any ideas on how to resolve?

The newly installed app goes right to /Applications instead of /Applications/iWork'09.
You'll find the new Pages listed in the Applications folder - Just double click on it and it will open.
Once opened, just hold your curson on the icon in the Dock and wait for "Options" to appear. Then you can click on "Keep in Dock" if you so desire.
Just drag the older version icon off of the "Dock" or use the cusor hold tor Options > Remove from Dock

Cannot update iTunes after motherboard change.

iTunes was on D drive. After MB change, D drive became E drive. Updates fails since D drive is now the CD player.

Define "update". Do you mean Apple Software Update?
The iTunes application normally installs components in Program Files and Program Files (x86) on 64-bit machines. Those folders are normally inside the system drive, which is typically the same as the boot drive. The iTunes library is normally created at <User's Music>/iTunes. If all content has been stored inside the default media folder of .../iTunes/iTunes Media then the library should be portable and can be operated from any path. Hold down shift as you launch iTunes to get an option to choose or create a library, click choose, and browse to the iTunes Library.itl file inside your iTunes folder. Playlists are all stored inside the .itl file. The library consists of the .itl file, some supporting files in the same folder and the album artwork folder, and all media that has attached to the library.
You can't generally save the playlists independently since iTunes records them with absolute paths which may not work if/when you try to reimport. Moving a potable library around as a unit works. See Make a split library portable for background.

Updating Linked Excel File: Changing Worksheets

I have a series of InDesign documents with linked Excel files filled with area-specific rate tables.
The Excel files contain several different areas separated into worksheets. Each worksheet layout is identical. Only the data in the tables changes.
I have a template file set up pointing at Excel File A Worksheet 1, and I would like to redirect the link to Excel File A Worksheet 2.
The problem is that when I ask InDesign to relink, it asks me for the cell coordinates all over again. This ruins my efficiency.
Is there a way to update only the linked file's worksheet, from Excel File A Worksheet 1 to Excel File A Worksheet 2, without resetting the cell coordinates?

I've seen this error sporadically and have no clue what causes it. The
only thing you can do is follow the direction and re-place the file.

IPod cannot update because "firmware file" cannot be found

We have a video iPod with color--30 GB. When I connect to iTunes to update my iPod, it says a newer version of iPod software is available. When I click okay to download update, an error message comes up saying "The iPod "Rachel" could not be updated because the firmware file could not be found. Any suggestions on how to fix this error?
