Cannot use desktop app

Back in January, I had the following problem:

It was temporarily solved, so I could access Story through the web interface. 
Although the web interface is working fine, I still can't use the desktop application.
I have tried reinstalling Story and also, deinstalling and reinstalling all Adobe apps, but everytime Story opens, it is still stuck on the "Starting Backup Please Wait" dialogue.  Is there some internal cache I can delete?
Also - Has the FTP backup problem been solved?

This fixed the issue for me that I read about on another forum:
Try following:
1)  You don't need to uninstall adobe story. just close the adobe story application if it's already running.
2) after that on
     Windows
          Delete "%appdata%\Adobe\AIR\ELS\com.adobe.AdobeStory*" (i.e. delete all the folders starting with
          com.adobe.AdobeStory)
     Mac
          Delete the application stored data: User > Library > Application Support > AIR > ELS > com.adobe.AdobeStory*
  3) Now try logging in and you will see that you logged-in  in online mode, your online data will start syncing to offline database automatically.
This seemed to give everything a clean start. Hope this helps.

    Two other things to try -
    Power your iPad off for a minute and then back on again.
    Double tap the Home button, locate the updating apps (one by one) in the bottom task bar, press on it until the red minus sign comes up and click it. Repeat for the remaining apps. Try the updates again but do them one by one rather than Update All.

    This feature is call "Co-Authoring".
    Require Check Out shouldn't enabled and version turn on, with permission will allow multiple user to edit same word/ppt/one-note in their respective zone.
    As per I know, excel client app don't support co-authoring(as you observed too), but OWA does

  • Cannot Use Blackberry App World / Icon disappeared

    I have lost App World.  I was prompted to update to a newer version, which I did (repeatedly!), and now it's gone and the icon is nowhere to be found.  I can find it listed under Applications but cannot use it.  I've tried all the tricks -- pull the battery, delete it and download it again, etc.  I've spent all day and it still doesn't work.  I've really about had it!

    If you looking for the latest version of App World Download it from here http://blackberry.com/appworld
    But before that if you had installed any previous version then uninstall it this way :
    Options > Device > Application Management.
    Scroll to BlackBerry AppWorld > Delete.
    Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a min, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

    A number of my aps are marked as waiting but nothing is being downloaded or updatedA and I cannot use these aps. Does anyone have an idea?

    What I have noticed is that these may have been updates and I attempted to download a number of them at the same time. I just deleted the "waiting" apps and it has not appeared to affect the original downloaded apps. In the future I'll only download one app at a time.

    If you are having trouble locating BlackBerry World as well as BlackBerry Messenger , then :
    For BlackBerry App World :
    If you device OS is prior to 6.0.0.706 then try Updating your device software or Download BlackBerry World version 4.0.0.55 which is the best workaround now available for BlackBerry  World also uninstall BlackBerry world from Options > Device > Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry  World , then perform another Battery pull restart .
    Then From your BlackBerry Browser browse to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download version 4.0.0.55 . In addition check this Knowledge Base for further help :
    KB29422  BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.63 to 4.0.0.65.
    For BBM  :
    On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting do a Battery Pull Restart like this device POWERED ON remove the battery wait a min. then re-insert it back . After reboot from your BlackBerry Browser browse or Click here www.blackberry.com/bbm and download  the most recent available for your device  . If device prompt for a restart do it .If still unable to view BBM icon on your Homescreen check this Knowledge Base :

    Follow the link that stedman provided, and on that page, instead of choosing the link to iOS4, choose Purchase the iOS 3.1 Software Update directly from the iTunes Store. When you choose it, iTunes will open to the store and page for buying (purchasing) the update. It doesn't cost much (a few dollars although I cannot recall precisely) and it is the only way to update from you current iOS version. Once you do that, a further update to iOS 4.2.1 is free.     By the way, iOS 4.2.1 is as high as the 2nd generation Touch can go, but don't let that put you off. I have one and although I cannot install the BBC iPlayer (because it requires iOS 5) there are many Apps that work perfectly well with iOS 4.2.1.

    I've just read the another discussion (to which you contributed), in which Illaass suggests that you may have a 1st generation Touch. If that is so, then your iPod will only be able to update to iOS 3.1.3. This will still need to be purchased, but be aware that many Apps require iOS 4 or higher, so your options would be more limited. So follow the link Illaass provided to confirm which model you have.

    I am having a problem with  Internet  on my ipad, I am connected to my WIFI and am receiving emails but any App that requires internet connection will not work, this includes Safari. Everything worked fine until yesterday.

    I too, am having this problem. I have the new iPad. I have a full strength wifi signal (currently at home and with my personal hotspot) but apps that need the internet including google chrome and safari do not search. Safari says "safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding." other apps just spin like it is searching for a signal or something. Frustrating, because it was working, it seems to have taken this route after uploading some new apps, but can't pinpoint. Help! Please!
