Cant Connect with Email

Hello, im just picked up my curve 8530 with koodo. I have a data plan with unlimited windows live, hotmail, etc... i go to add my email address and it adds it in the list of addresses in the email setup. So when i go to my messages window and i try to compose an email it says "No message service configured. You will be redirected to the Setup Wizard to setup your email" . I also registered with the koodo bis site so i can view my email addresses on my comp aswell. Please help. Thank you for your time.

You should contact your service provider about that...those are components of your voice-level service plan from your carrier, not part of your RIM/Data level service plan.

I suspect that your SMS plan (from your carrier) involves an unlimited quantity of SMS messages...not an unlimited length of a single SMS. But, again, contact your carrier as they control this.

RIM is not stopping you -- your carrier controls the services you receive, especially those that have nothing to do with the RIM data activities. I actually find BB's to be quite flexible -- but sometimes it indeed takes adding on some app to do something special. I don't expect my device to have everything -- that would make for a very bloated OS indeed. Rather, I want a device that has the minimum it takes to function and then let me pick and choose what to add onto it. But, that's personal preference.

Cant connect with new modem

Im currently using the Versalink 327W modem and it works fine but it disconnects randomly lately. I tried replacing the ethernet cable but it only recognizes the one I was using for some reason. I decided to purchase the Westell 6100 on Ebay but I cant connect. When I try opening internet explorer I get a log in page asking me to enter my isp email adress and phone number.
I also tried using the GT704WG modem but I cant connect to it either. All lights are fine except for the Internet light which turns Red. Is there a reason I cant connect with a new modem, when my old modem works fine?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

My ipod touch stopped connecting with email a couple of weeks ago. I went through all the steps on the support website. After deleting the account from the device, I tried to add it back and now all I get is a message that says "the IMAP server "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" is not responding". I have tried multiple times and checked all info for correctness.

Try resetting your Yahoo password. That is how I resolved your problem on my iPhone.

Cant connect with airport because of password?

HELP!!!
im very new to this.
i am in spain. just got a router and can connect with ethernet, but not with wi fi. my roommate hooked right in with his pc and the 13 digit password.
ive read the help pages adn tried the " " and $ tricks but no good.
wierd too, because i get the signal with it's name, but cant get in: says incorrect password.
to top it off, i went into my airport admin and assistant to set up the base station, and it doesnt find it.
help!

any other thoughts? isnt it kind of wierd that i receive the signal, but then my airport administrator wont recognize the base station?

Itunes cant connect with external speakers

i have airtunes and when i go to itunes i see in the right bottom corner the external speakers but when i choose one it cant connect. i don't get any error or something but it keeps trying to connect but nothing???
who can help me.
everything seems correct because when my neighbour try's to connect with his laptop it does work???

Your settings will usually be blocked by Google unless you agree to lower your security settings.
Enter your details as shown in image 1 below and click the validate button.
You should see a LR message that the server settings could not be authenticated.
Launch your web browser and go to your Gmail inbox. Look for a message from Google confirming the authorization attempt was blocked.
Click on the link (highlighted in red) on image 2 below.
You will need to Click on the link “Allow less secure apps”
Choose enable
Click done
Now go back to LR and click the validate button and your Gmail account should show as validated.
You can now select a thumbnail from the LR Library and mail it by pressing the keys Control + Shift + M (Cmd+Shift+M on Mac)
The alternative is to set up Google two step verification and make the security application specific to Lightroom.

Cant connect with Ethernet at hotel

I'm at NYC hotel. TheoOnly have ethernet in rooms. Does not work, tried two cables and I tried another room.
MUst be settings. I ran through automatic and some of the drop downs in network setting -- don't understand it.
They say it should all work perfectly and they have not a clue what to do.

They're not guaranteed to solve the problem, but they'll only take a minute or so to try.

i did a product recovery on my m30-154 a couple of days ago, and now he doesnt connect with the wireless internet we have in our house. he sees the SSID but he just dont connect, i allready did a BIOS update and an Intel update and I dont dont know what to do now. Can somebody help me?

My i phone only gives a white apple logo and doesnt respond also i tunes cant connect with my i phone

when my i phone connected with i tunes, i thunes asked if i wanted to download the newest version of i tunes. I clicked ' ok' and then my i phone only gave a black screen with te apple logo, it doesnt respond to turning off or the home button, when i connect to i tunes it cannot connect with my i phone because sometings wrong....please help!

If the device has been working before.
try a hard reset, search for it here or on google it might help.

You probably have a version of AppWorld that does not function via WiFi...please try this sequence:
1) Remove AppWorld from your BB
KB10040 How to view or remove installed applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so
2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.
3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld

Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.
4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot
5) See if it now works.
