Cant find IP Address
Iv had my bt phone and broadband for a couple of years but one day the phone and broad band stopped working. BT came and fixed the phone line admiting the problem was a fault and fixed the phone line. But the internet still doesnt work. I try to connect and it cant find an IP address. I use my laptop and can use the wireless everywhere else but it doesnt work when im at home even though the signal strength with the router is excellent. anyone know of solutions or ever had problems like this before?

Does it work with a wired ethernet connection ?

When I try to access the setup page for my router, 192.168.1.1 does not work and neither does 192.168.1.2 any way to find out what the address is. when I type in those address is comes up no such website ect.
Check first what ip address your router is getting. Open your command prompt. All you need to do is click on the START button at the bottom left of your screen. Click on RUN and type in lower case cmd and press enter. Then you will have a black screen or your command prompt. You will see a blinking cursor all you need to do is type in ipconfig and press enter. You will then know what ip address your getting. The default gateway is the address you need to use for you to access your router set-up page.

Cant find Mac address BBT Hom Hub 2.0
Hi, I have my NAS severe connected directly to my HH.
Everything has worked fine for months, I had port forwarded some ports on the router so that I could access my Nas externally.
All of a sudden, ports are blocked and I cannot find my NAS device on the router, it is connected and I can connect via LAN.
Not sure waht to do because the Nas dvice Mac address does not show up in the device list or in DHCP list.

Go to Solution.Your NAS really needs to be given a static IP address, as DHCP tends to stop working after a while, as the home hubs DHCP table fills up to capacity.

I want to make a complaint but how? Cant find an address to write to?
I'm extremly annoyed: purchased a 13" mac book pro on 13/11/13 for my teenage sons birthday and christmas present, on 29/11/13 he couldnt start the mac book up. We took it to our nearest apple store & saw an apple genius, we left it with them for 2 hours. On our return we thought it had been fixed, however when we got home my son done what the genius told him, again still not fixed. We made 2 further calls to the store, still cant fix it! Final straw, i took it back to the apple store on 5/12/13, left it there overnight, they called today and said it needs a new logi board which is going to cost us £409!! So we paid £999 just 13 months ago & they now are saying we need to pay another 40% of the original purchase price to get the mac book back to working order. Am truly so angry with Apple & want to take this further... After all i thought Apple products were built to last ?....!!!

I want to report it lost or stolen device in apple support profile , but when i enter the serial number it says already registered by another email address.. I tried every email address i remember but cant still find the right one !

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod/iPhone/iPad on the iOS device in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected or cellular data is on and connected for, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iOS device and have the device play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the device and report to police and carrier if iPhone or cellular iPad

I upgraded from Dreamweaver CS4 to CS6. but now when I want to upload I get "an TFP error occured - cannot make connection to host". I spent hours with the host technician and we cant find the error. I reinstalled DW4 and it connects to host perfectly. Anyone else seen this problem?

None of these issues are causing the error in DW CS6. We have double checked all of them and we have everything exactly right. Also I have exactly the same SiteSetup in DW CS4 and that works perfectly well. Could there must be factor in 6 that didn't exist in 4? Something that isnt in the SiteSetup but in some hidden dialog box ?
I can also upload to my host using Fetch, a third party FTP. And as I said DW CS4 works fine. So the problem is not with my host, its with DW CS6 in particular.Thank you Jon, that fixed it perfectly. Of course I saw that menu item "Import" and but I thought thats obviously not for me: "Why would I want to import an entire website?". I did not however see "Export the selected site" for thats only a tiny icon in the footer. However I would have thought the same: "Why would I want to export my entire website?".
An observation: I've seen this problem in a lot of Adobe software, the menu-names of items are obscure, non descriptive. What would be better would be for the menu names or popups to say "Export Site Setup settings" and "Import Site Setup settings" -
Cant find PS Extended CS6 in Download assistant?

Cant find instant message on my mac book pro
im running snowleopard on my mac book pro and i cant acess or find my instant messaging, no icon, and cant find it in finder or anywhere??? i bought it in 2011, its actually my sisters, my 2009 MBP works fine, any answers out there?
In answer to your second question, it wouldn't matter much on your sister's MBP, as Snow Leopard doesn't support iCloud for messaging (or for much of anything, though you can force a few things). Her iChat is limited to AIM instant messaging and such.
On your MBP, which according to your profile is running Lion (10.7.5), you also won't have access to iCloud messaging (iMessage) unless you installed the beta-test iMessages application and somehow kept it running. (I have heard it can no longer be installed and may no longer work at all. That's third-hand; I haven't tried it.) Your iChat will also be limited to AIM and such.
For those with iMessage-capable phones and computers, there is a choice to be made. Apple's apparent concept for iCloud would suggest that you would use a single iCloud account for all of the devices you individually own or use. (I do that; my wife does also, with her own ID.) That model works well when, for example, you want to receive all the same iMessages on all of your devices. Even if you don't, there are ways to keep them separate (e.g., use the phone number to send/receive iMessages on your iPhone while using an email address on the MBP). -

Cant find the vlan-membership command
I cant find the vlan-membership command on my 3700 layer 3 switch, i've searched google on whether the command has upgraded to a new syntax to no avail, i'm using GNS3 and the IOS is c3725-adventerprisek9-mz.124-25d.bin
Now I got your problem. Layer 3 switch has routed ports require ip address and can't be added in vlan.
if you want to add ports into vlan then it should be swtiched port not a routed port. to make routed port as switch port use "switchport" command under interface and use switchport acess vlan to add a port in vlan.
Further more it can communicate with VLAN1 and VLAN2 through the SVI interfaces of the VLANs (int vlan1 and int vlan2).

Show: Unopened Only
Type: All
That should return to you all unopened messages from all message conduits.
Also try making sent and filed messages visible...it could also be one of those.
