Cant get FaceTime to work on new mini IPad....any suggestions? It keeps verifying but it will not work, it allows me to get apps. I too was a mobileme user and have just migrated to iCloud on mackbook pro w/OS 10.7.4. Transition caused my sent mailboxes to rearrange themselves so that I have no comprehensive 'sent' mailbox as I did previously and the view on both incoming and outgoing mailboxes keeps rearranging itself no matter how many times I set preferences. One result is that search function no longer works. Is anyone else having problems like this? All was fine for a week after transition but after having an evening when my password was repeatedly rejected I had to log in and out of iCloud (as directed by tech support) and w/in an hour or so the mailbox problem began.

Ok. When you log in to your hotmail on another pc or iPad via Safari or Internet explorer does it ask you for your last 4 digits of your mobile. If they do they you have set up 2 step security. This is so to prevent your account getting hacked. If you haven't gotten this set up then try try this.
Goto your iPhone settings. General and click the bottom of the page scroll down where it says RESET press that. Now click on reset network settings.
now wait a while. Then go back to mail settings and set up your hotmail account.
Ie. name of your account John
Your email address [email protected]
Put in your password.
I just put hotmail in the last box.
Hopefully it will process this then you should get the tick signs then bingo. You should be all set up now fingers crossed. Good luck.

I forgot to mention you need to go into hotmail on your pc. Then settings. If it says 2 step setup. Then click below that to turn off your 2 step set up.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

Can't get Bluetooth to work

I can't seem to get bluetooth to work from the Desktop software.
I can pair my laptop and my Storm and transfer my contact to the PC outside of the desktop software but when I go into the desktop software and select configure bluetooth it doesn't see my Storm device.
Any ideas?

on your PC, you need to uninstall the Bluetooth stack from the third party, and have the drivers from Microsoft installed.
Otherwise no Bluetooth in the Desktop Manager.

Here's an answer from the net:
Go to Settings/Mail,contacts,calendars/Add account choose other, choose Add Mail Account. Fill in name, email address, password and description on the screen that comes up. Save those.
One the next screen tat comes up click om POP in the first line then fil in the host name as
spop.west.cox.net or spop.east.cox.net or the one to go with your region.
Note that is not a misprint, that is spop (secure pop)
Fill in your username one more time (the password should have carried over from previously)
Fill in your outgoing mail server like smtp.west.cox.net (change for your region) and click Save.
When all the settings are verified a checkmark will appear next to them all and you are good to go.
If it says something like "can't connect via SSL would you like to ..." then you probably missed the step about selecting POP on the second screen and are trying IMAP so go back and try over with POP. Or perhaps mistyped soemthing.
Once everything is working you can go back into the settings and see that it has automatically connected on port 995 and that SSL is on
Note that you probably won't be able to send email from a wifi in a cafe or similar as cox won't let you connect to their smtp from outside their network.
I haven't tried receiving mail from a non cox connected wifi yet but I suspect it will work just fine. Anyway these settings work for me using my ipod to my home wifi router connected to cox.
I could not find a definitive guide when I searched so I hope this helps other folks trying to configure this.

Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

I am trying to get bluetooth to work on my Lenovo Thinkpad T60. Following the wiki article, I installed bluez and made sure that hal, dbus and bluetooth daemons are running. Of course, I have also made sure that the hardware switch for wifi/bluetooth on the front of the thinkpad is turned on.
Now, the situation is:

If I do "hciconfig --all", I get no output at all. A device /dev/hci* does not exist. So when I run hcitool, it tells me that there is no bluetooth device available:

In this thread is explained that one has to execute "echo enable >/proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth" to enable the bluetooth hardware:
# echo enable > /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth
-bash: /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth: No such file or directory
The directory /proc/acpi/ibm/ does exist, but root seems not to have the permission to create files there. If I enter the directory /proc/acpi/ibm/ and do "touch testfile" as root, I get "touch: cannot touch `testfile': No such file or directory".
To make a long story short, I have no idea what to do now to get bluetooth working. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I made a terrible mistake today and moved all my files from my harddisk to my external harddisk. I had to reinstall everything but I cant get frontrow to work properly. I cant find it on my external harddisk either.
Can someone please help me with this tricky question.

Can you describe your problem in a bit more detail? Why did you decide to move your files? What files did you move? What method did you use to move them? Did you move them over completely by way of backing up and then erased your disk prior to moving them back?
Any other information you can provide will make it easier to make suggestions on your issue.
