  • HT1926 cant install itunes on windows 7 64bit . cant run a required dll

i cant install itunes on windows 7 64bit . when i run the setup and reach the status : "performing installation checks" , it said "there is a problem with this Windows Installer Package . A Dll required for this install to complete could not be run.v..v" what should i do now ?

    That's a bit rarer. It's a 1723 error message. (1721 and 1722 are more common.)
Even though the following user tip is about slightly different errors (the 1721 and 1722), perhaps try it with your one too:

  • Cant install JDK on Windows 2000

Ive tried installing both 1.4 and 1.3..... Anyway whenver i try to run the installer i get the message "Cant run 16-bit windows program" Any ideas? I cant seem to find anything on the subject and the one site i did suggested that certain dll's be present on the system which where all there?
    thx

The problem here is that Sun is distributing a 32-bit only
program with a 16-bit installation software. They use
Installshield for the installation. They forgot to check
off 32-bit runtime when packaging the installation software.
For whatever reason, the 16-bit subsystem in Windows is
disabled and the 16-bit installation software can't run.

    Thanks

Thanks for the prompt reply Chris.
I ran the Microsoft Fixit at the link you provided and it has cured the problem. When asked if I wanted to fix install problems or uninstall problems, I chose Uninstall problems as Adobe Air was (sort of) on my PC. The utiity found a number of corrupt registry entries and fixed them automatically.
Thanks very much - I'm a happy man!

  • Cant install AIR for Android on HTC Legend

Is Air for android compatible with the HTC Legend?
I have a legend running Android 2.2, but the market will not allow me to install the app. I thought it might be a temporary error so I downloaded an APK from the web, it fails and says cannot install.
The legend plays flash content in 2.2, so i cant see why AIR wouldnt be supported?
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
I also have an HTC Legend, and I'm trying to make some tutorials about publishing from Flash Builder to Android.
I've notice this also, and I must say, it's a complete deception that AIR cannot support this phone, and certainly it seems that upgrading to the Android 2.2 was a bad option, since I defenitly was able to make a simple flash game, and some other exeperiments, and got them to work with AIR when this phone had Android 2.1
If it runs on Android 2.1, maybe it was a an upgrade that make AIR incompatible with this device on Android 2.2. Is there any way of running it, maybe forcing to install a AIR version that works.
I was starting to program on Flash Builder, and experimenting on my Legend, but now I stumbled on this.
    Thanks,
    Leonel

  • I have cs6 and i cant install the white window plugin

i have photoshop cs6 for mac, and since installing Yosemite, it just hasn't worked the same. Main annoyance is the unresponsiveness of the hotkeys, they work sometimes, but lag and sometimes don't respond. i have tried to add the White window work around plugin but my photoshop says it cant open it because it doesn't recognize the file.  please help.

I don't have a Wacom tablet, but Googling found this: Menus, shortcuts, Lasso tool, or Photoshop stop working when using a Wacom tablet | Mac OHave
Have you unzipped the plugin before installing?
Also check this forum posting: Mac OSX Yosemite   Wacom Intuos 4 - Painting not possible due to terrible brush lags
Other than that, you probably need someone with experience with this issue to chime in

  • Cant install itunes on windows 7 64bit

Title says it all really, after I download the file I double click to open and nothing happens at all, no box asking me to give access just nothing. If I download 32bit this works but when I opened it it told me to install 64bit instead, so I just cancelled that install.
    Any ideas???

  • Cant Install Itunes to Windows 7 (Multiple Errors) Please help

so i keep trying to install itunes and i get these errors:

Even though the micorsoft website does not list hte SUBINACL tool as being a valid tool for WIndows 7, here is a thread where a microsoft support person recommends it.
    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7programs/thread/324918a2-fb68 -49ba-833f-ecfb15a7ef10
I would definitely follow the advice of backing up the registry and creating a restore point before proceeding with subinacl.
After you have downloaded subinacl and installed using admin rights, do these steps to reset the registy permissions:
    ~Start Notepad.
~Copy and then paste the following text into Notepad.
    cd /d "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Resource Kits\Tools"
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYLOCALMACHINE /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCURRENTUSER /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subkeyreg HKEYCLASSESROOT /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    subinacl /subdirectories %windir%\. /grant=administrators=f /grant=system=f
    secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose
~Save this Notepad file as Reset.cmd.
~Double-click the Reset.cmd file to run the script.
Note This script file may take a long time to run. You must run this script as an administrator.

  • Help! Cant install iTunes on Windows XP

    Hi
Im trying to install the new version of iTunes and it comes up with this error message: Error writing to file C:\program files\itunes\itunes.resources\nl.lproj\appletvstream.nib\objects.xib Verify that you have access to that directory.
Would be great if anyone knows a solution...
    Thanks!

See this -> Windows XP - To set, view, change, or remove file and folder permissions
Make sure you select the folder that file is in and apply to everything in that folder.
