Cant Re-download Facebook N97

Hi i was wondering if anybody could help me.
I have got an N97 which had facebook on it, i was receiving notifications saying that messages had been posted on my wall however i was unable to see the actual message. After a month of fiddling around I thought to try and download the version of OVI, when the file had finished downloading I had a message saying current file in operation cannot perform installation (or something along those lines). I then removed facebook from my phone thinking that I would be able to install the file just downloaded.
After removing fb i cannot find the file downloaded from OVI and when I go into the OVI store it will not let me download the AP again. I have read various other posts and have looked to find my AP manager but there doesn't seem to be one. Have downloaded snaptu but really require the widget function.
I hope somebody can help me out!!!

Try Snaptu or Socially , they both work well and Socially app gives on screen updates

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

Delete the FB app. It ***** anyway. LOL
Seriously, obviously the FB app is causing havoc on your phone. Delete it.
Then back up your phone to iTunes.
Make sure the FB app is not checked in iTunes so it won't go back on your device.
Restore (as a NEW PHONE) This puts on new firmware and not your corrupted data.
Plug back in to get your data back (except FB)
Re-download FB app from App Store->Updates->Purchases

If you're unable to connect to the App Store to download the Facebook app, I would follow these directions:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General >Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General> Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check theuser guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I have the same issue...I called Adobe and they said that Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 7 ...so I tried installing the suite again without Acrobat and still the same issue....does anyone know if this issue is resolved by getting the new CS5 suite??? I just got an iPhone 3 and went into the App Store and I'm unable to download Facebook from the App Store. I seem to be able to download any others, but this one. I get an error that I need to update the iOS to 4.3 but when I connect to my iTunes it doesn't show an update. Is there anything that can fix this?

The new version won't work on your phone. It requires at least iOS 4.3 and the 3G cannot be updated beyond iOS 4.2.1. (You'll have to complain to Facebook if you want to see this changed.)

I had the same problem after I gave my old iPad to my parents and tried to install Netflix. This is what you have to do: Open iTunes on your computer, the one you sync your iPad to. Then go to iTunes Store and search for and download Netflix app. After you download it, if your iPad is set to download new purchases it may start downloading on your iPad. If so, tap and hold to delete the app (because it is trying to install the new version on the iPad) Next step, go to the App Store on your iPad and find Netflix and it should say install since you already purchased it on the computer. Tap to install, and it will say the version is not compatible, tap to download a previous version. Click that and it will install the older version! One more thing, if and when you sync to your computer again it will say something like " Unable to install Netflix on your iPad" Just click the box to never remind you again, because it's trying to sync the newer Netflix app to your iPad, but it doesn't work so it displays the message. The old app will remain on the ipad. Hope this helps, good luck
