Cant scroll down.......

Ok so all of a sudden my track ball WILL NOT scroll down. It scrolls fluidly in every direction but down. I cant really explain how this problem is even possible. When i try to scroll down the ball literally feels like its cemented to the phone but when i move it up it moves without any friction or problems. Im sure theres nothing i can do to fix it aside from buying a new phone (which is probably why whoever made the thing put in the "HAH now you cant scroll down #@$!#" feature into it). Anyone know a way to resolve the issue without having to mail it in and pay 50 bucks? Even when i scroll down and to the right the ball will move straight to the right only. Its almost as if there is a block that was specifically put in there to prevent it from scrolling down

Zypher, I just gotta ask, why didn't post what you had ALREADY tried doing in the initial post, rather than just coming back and saying you've done all that?
Really, if you want help, give details up front and let users here offer some advice. But if it's like your holding back info... not cool.

To force quit an application, choose Force Quit from the Apple menu (or press Command-Option-Esc), then choose the unresponsive application in the Force Quit window, and click Force Quit.
Optionally, you may be able to Option-right click the application's icon in the Dock and choose Force Quit from the contextual menu.
If this is not an option, hold down the power button (5-10 seconds) until the mac shuts off and then restart.

I had tried to copy too much into My Calendar; now it has entered an infinite loop error: message saying 'Your calendar couldn't be refreshed'. I cant scroll down to the bottom of the message it seems to be locked, thus can't quit it. This bug has locked my entire calendar. Can I somehow delete the last activity on my calendar which might solve the problem?
Tried to force quit the app a few times and even rebooting, though the problem remains and each time I reopen My Calendar, the error message pops up, prohibiting me from do anything on this app.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data.
Before taking each of these steps, quit (force quit if necessary) the application. After taking the step, relaunch and test. When the problem is resolved (or when you complete Step 3 without resolving it), stop and close the Library folder.
Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. From the folder that opens, move these subfolders (some may not exist) to the Trash, leaving the Library folder open:

Caches/com.apple.iCal
Saved Application State/com.apple.iCal.savedState

Move these files from the Library folder to the Desktop (again, some may not exist):

Here "*" stands for a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes. If the application now works, you may be able to put back some of the files you moved in this step, relaunching and testing after each one. Eventually you may find the one that caused the problem; delete it. Recreate your settings as necessary.
If the application still crashes, put back each of the files you moved in this step, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. You don't have to put back the folders you moved in Step 1.
Step 3
Move this folder to the Desktop:
Calendars
Note: you're not moving the Calendars application; you're moving a folder named "Calendars". If there's no change, put the folder back where it was.
If the application launches after you move the Calendars folder, the event database is corrupt. You have two choices:
Restore the folder from a Time Machine snapshot or other backup that predates the corruption.

This is by design. If you want to change this, the content section must have a set height and scroll. Which layout are you using? -- Check out the Responsive layouts and the Social layout. I believe those have the more traditional TOC placement.

Firefox issue, cant scroll, (no scroll bars), cant navigate

I have Firefox, latest version, installed along with the
latest flash player, problem is I cant navigate, or scroll down or
over when the window pops up. It only shows about 70 percent of the
total page I am trying to view, but there is no way to scroll. It
has worked in the past and I dont know what has changed. I have
updated windows, and re-installed Firefox and the Flash player
numerous times and still not working. It does work on my other

Try to modify the ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled pref on the about:config page from the default value -1 to 0 or 1 to see if that makes the scroll pad work.<br />
Close and restart Firefox after changing the ui.trackpoint_hack.enabled pref.

Cant turn down volume

heres an odd on....was listening to itunes with system vol. about half way, with itunes volume maxed. suddenly my system volume shoots full blast...no matter what i cant turn the system volume down. it will just go right back up

I am trying to make a scroll site.. and i have navigation buttons on the right, a full menu, but also a "1 topic up" button and "1 topic down" button.
Is there any way that i can have those buttons change anchor link when you scroll down the site.
Example:
I am at home, then i press "1 topic down" and gets scrolled to the next topic on the website, but then i cant make the button change to link to the anchor below that, so the button becomes useless after that 1 press.
Is that in any way possible in Muse to make it change link?

You can try to create different buttons on page positions where down scrolling will be active with separate button actions. For example you click on "I topic down" , page scrolls and there is another button placed with "Next Topic down" , on click this would scroll the page more and similarly along the length of page.
Button with anchor link scrolling down the page cannot be used for different anchor links, creating different buttons with anchors is the solution.

Cant scroll in itunes store

since the 10.4.0.80 update i occasionally cant scroll up or down the page. if i go back and forwards to the page again it will work fine. no clue why this is happening. probably just a bug but if anyone can provide any help on possible solutions to this i would appreciate it very much

I found a little trick that might help you a little. Go to what ever album you're looking for and look under the 'listeners also bought column', if you can see the words 'sort by', click on that and the screen should shift to the right. At least I could see the buy button for buying individual songs and I could read peoples comments. Can't figure out what to do in the main pages but if you know what you want then hopefully this can help you. This is a itunes store problem and I complained already, but you and everyone reading this should also, so they would hurry up and fix this. Aloha.

Mighty Mouse will scroll down but not up.

All of a sudden my mighty mouse won't scroll up. It will scroll down, left and right but not up. The mighty mouse is about 6 months old and has worked fine on my old Dual 1GHz G4 MDD.

your mighty mouse should have a 1yr warranty on it, take it to an apple store and let them know what the problem is.
as I have never used a mighty mouse I cant offer advice, other than perhaps its dirty inside and maybe you could clean it...

Ipod touch Voice/wont scroll down

My Ipod touch recently "froze" up in a way. It will open things but not fast and it wont scroll down it is hard to "slide" to power off and "slide" to unlock... and the voice command is on but we cant get to the options to turn it off. any suggestions. and how do you find out your restictions passcode?

Since you do not know the passcode, if it asks for the passcode place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. See the following for recovery mode.

Restoring will erase the iPod and replace it contents with what is in the most recent backup and what is in the itunes library since some things like music are not in the backup. Like all things, restoring has a risk that something can happen and the iPod can just be erased. In that case you have to rebuidd the iPod.
