Cant view SMS messages with PC Suite 6.8 (Nokia 66...

Hi all,
I am using Nokia 6680. I was using PC Suite 6.5 previously and i cant read my sms messages from the PC browser, nor the PC Suite.
I follow the advice from this forum to upgrade to PC Suite 6.84, and i still cant read sms messages from my PC. does anyone have antidote to this problem?

Miksu-san, do u know if there's anyway we can extract the sms data, in bulk and in organized way, except from purchasing the Noki software? Much appreciation in advance.

CANNOT send SMS messages with ADDRESS BOOK on POWERBOOK using iPHONE

I cannot send SMS messages with my address book or dial phone numbers using my Powerbook via the iPHONE.
Previously, with my Sony Ericson phone, I could do both. It's very useful, when you are at your laptop, to use your computer keyboard to send SMS text messages back and forth rather than using the clumsy small keys on a phone.
Can someone help?
Is there something I am missing?

You are not missing something here and no one here can help you. This is not an included Bluetooth profile with the iPhone at the present time anyway.
If you purchased your iPhone within the last 14 days, you can return it for credit less a 10% restocking fee and if not, here is Apple's feedback link for the iPhone.

Messaging with PC Suite

Hi all
I am wondering if any of you can help me with this problem please. When i try to send a message with PC Suite the "To" box at the top will give me a number of numbers for the person whos name i enter. The only problem is that it will not allow me to choose some of the numbers displayed. When i use the "To" box to open the data base of numbers it shows me that most of my contacts are in twice. Any idea as to how I might remedy this matter?

The number it will select does not have to be a mobile. It regularly selects a home no and will not select the mobile that is visible at the same time.
The version of PC Suite i am using is 6.5 12 with XP on one pc and windows 2000 on another. Same problem with both pcs but it will pick differnet nos on both.

Cant view/open messages on my PC Suite!

need your expertise on this one
Im not able to open or view any messages on my PC suite--after two PC suite updates and one phone firmware update along with numerous PC suite Cleaning and Reinstalling
I can open the contact and calender page, but whenever i switch to the messages, window will display a communication center error for window to report, and it will close up the communication window
makes it hard to manage my messages using PC suite
Can anyone provide insight knowledges to help me solve this problems??
I currently have an E66 RM-343 with 300.21.012 firmware
PC Suite is 7.1.30.9, with connectivity package at 9.23.3.0
Im running Window XP version 2002 service pack 3

i'm been using PC suite 6.85.14 from past 3 months.. everything works fine, recently new update to ver 6.86.9.0.
i start having problem reading & Send text message from PC suite. the rest just working fine. i can backup, view contacts, sync calendar & contacts.
i was thought it was because the new version might have some bug, i uninstalled this new version, cable driver, pc connectivity solution and install back ver 6.85.14.
same thing happen with error message "unable to read text message from phone", when i press new sms button, on top showing "Text message editor - no phone connected" but it is connected. i can do other things..
anyone know what is the problem??

Problems downloading sms's with PC Suite

Hi guys. I've looked everywhere and can't find an answer to this
I'm using PC Suite (7.1.18.0) on a Lenovo T60 and use it for downloading my messages (SMS) via the infrared port from a nokia 6230. The trouble I'm having is that when the PC reads the contents of my phone some of the messages displayed in PC suite (sometimes up to 4 or 5) seem to be bundled into one continuous message that does not make sense. It is almost as these messages have been cut copied and pasted in no particular order.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any help would be thoroughly appreciated. Thanks in advance, d.

here is what could find after I checked all sources  I usually do..

as you see here are also links  to the PC Suite which is developed for the phones of that period ..
as time pases the computers ( phones too:-)) and software has changes and it is not aways possible to  possible to integrate the old one in to the new. So I here I suppoe is a case like this ..
there is something else I want to show you : it is the description of the PC Suite 5.8 and the notes bellow - you can  see that depending OS you can connect your phone to PC using 3 deferent  cables ( which is not very native for the rest of all phones, usually phone can be vonnected only via 1 single type of cable) however in 5.8 there is no application such as Nokia Communication Centre in 7.1; further more - usually to use the complete functionality of Nokia Communication Centre - when you first time connect a phone, the programm promts you to install a small application in to the phone that will help to use the Nokia Communication Centre correctly - you can see this if you open HELP > REINSTALL PC SUITE SUPPORT - this small application helps to appered on PC Suite when first time Nokia Communication Centre was released. this mean it uses special protocol of communication with the phone..
On the other hand I read the opening on PCS 7.1 page and here it is :

in addition you need to connect phone by one of the following cables : DKU-2, CA-53, CA-70 ( or IrDA and Bluetooth ( as for BT there are also deferent sys requirements than those forpc suite 5.8)
compare same info about PC Suite 5.8 :
connecting with cable CA-42,  DKU-2
in the applications list and  description  the only fully compatible phones are 6230 and 7600
So after I saw the screenshots you send me the only reason I see is that you are using PCS 7.1 , but not 5.8

Cant view video message after skype vanished

hi there, im very confused. i sent a video message to a contact i send videomessages to all the time with no problems. but today when i logged on to my laptop, the skype rpogram had vanished from my computer. its wasnt anywhere even in my programs list. i reinstalled the latest version , no problem. restarted my computer no problem. sent a video message no problem. but when i recieved a video message i cant view it. please view print screen. please help.
also could i download this video? so i could view it offline? would that work. can you resend video messages? im very confused.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit version).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Recover SMS Messages from Ovi Suite

Hi,
My memory card got corrupted and have lost all my SMS messages on my phone, but luckily I had synced my phone with Ovi Suite and I am able to see all my messages.
Is it possible to get move all these messages back to my phone, I am not syncing my phone currently as I fear that during the sync I may loose out all my messages.

I am using C7. With new version of nokia ovi suite (3.0.0.284) syncing is possible from device to ovi suite and not vice-versa.
with your advice I cld able to drag down the msgs. But in ovi suite, device shows sms under the respective heads say Inbox, Sent items etc. which is not the case with msgs stored in ovi suite. It shows clubs all the msgs.
I ve lot of sms, If I drag msg one by one it will take lot of time.
Is there any option by which I can drag down msg in one go for Inbox and then for sent msgs……… Pls advice asap. rgds

Can't send text messages with PC Suite

when I go to the message option in pc suite it says "operation could not be completed". All other options eg. synchronization and music are working fine it is just with the messages option that i can't do anything eg. cant send mesages can't create or delete messages; I can read saves messages from inbox and draft though.I have tried reinstalling pc suite many times but it does not help. I am using windows XP-sp2 and latest version of pc suite available on nokia website.
can anyone please help me with this problem???

What is your phone?
What is your PC Suite version?
How many messages you have in phone's message folders?
Anyway, if you have some messages what you do not need anymore, delete those. And check if that help?

Cant send SMS messages

I am having problems again trying to send a SMS message to a cell phone with ichat. I am always getting a error message that it could not be delivered. Got the message today and had to switch to yahoo Messenger which delivered the message just fine. Anyone know why I am having this problem in ichat?

I cannot est where I am as the SMS texting is only US based computers to US based phones.
Having said that the obvious issues are either AIM are dropping the ball on this one or the Cell Phone End service is not supported by the AIM Service.

I don't get SMS messages with the code from Apple with two factor authentication

As soon as Apple enabled two factor authentication in Mexico, I activated the feature. For some time everything worked well. When iOS 8 was launched, I started updating my devices. I was able to update an iPad Air as well as my iPhone 5 (which is the device used for verification). However, when I tried to update my iPad mini, I couldn't. I stopped receiving SMS messages from Apple with the code for verification. Now I am stuck with an iPad mini that I cannot use with my Apple ID and I cannot use iCloud on my brand new iPhone 6 (anticipating the problem, I backed up my iPhone 5 with iTunes and I am up and running, but with no iTunes match and no iCloud backup).
I have spent time on the phone with Apple support, who promised to return my call with a solution, but they never called back.
Just a final note. I do not have the recovery key. I trusted Apple and never thought I would need it. The fact is I still think it is Apple's problem because the SMS messages should get to my phone, and they don't. I do not really care losing my iCloud Backups or my photos (I have them all backed up elsewhere) but I don't want to lose my e-mail address (a .mac domain) nor my purchases.

I sent a message to that person. He replied, but I didn't get anything. To make it even more puzzling, I asked him to cc to my wife and she got his message. Then I asked her to forward it to me, and again I didn't get anything. Next, I found an old message from that guy and forwarded it to myself. Same effect - the message disappears, although the "sent" folder has a copy!

i have a blackberry storm 2 and i can send sms messages but i cant receive them. this phone is new to me and i've been through almost everything that i could think of but still cant figure out why i am not receiving any messages. please help!!!

Text messaging is my favorite form of wireless communication! It’s SUPER convenient to send a text to convey a message when I am not able to speak. I’m sure that you understand the convenience that text messaging provides in today’s wireless world. May I ask how much memory do you have on the Storm 2? In most cases, the text functionality may become limited due to lack of memory. I would suggest erasing all of your old text message threads and other media, reboot the device, and retest. Of course this step is in addition to what SuzyQ recommended, thanks SuzyQ!
Since we are on the subject, I would suggest erasing any unused media. Some examples are old pictures, the sample video, and any unused apps. Once you have tested the text messaging service, please advise if the issue is resolved as I am eager to know the outcome.

How to send SMS Message with Automator

I find the Action listed but I don't know where I type my message.

I discovered that I have to add the action Ask for Text prior to the Send SMS Message. Also, I found it odd that I am sending to my iPHone which is AT&T here in the US, but I have to choose Cingular from the carrier dropdown before the text comes through.
