Cant we open two .cp documents in one Captivate window ?

Hi
When I am working on a captivate document and, when I am trying to open a new document in the same window, the current running document is getting closed and new document is getting opened. Why does that happens?
Are they the default settings from Captivate or something else?
Can anyone help me?

Hello,
In Captivate 4 you cannot open two documents in one program window, this will be able in Captivate 5. There you'll have tabbed documents just like in Photoshop (CS4 and CS5).
However you can open the program Captivate 4 twice, and open a document in each program window. It is not so easy to copy+paste but if you arrange both windows next to each other, this works nice.

In the Organizer select two thumbnails and hit the F12 key to compare them. But I guess you mean in the Editor application. In Expert Mode it‘s possible to work with floating windows rather than fixed tabs but you first need to set your preferences. Go to:
Edit >> Preferences >> General (Windows)
Photoshop Elements Editor >> Preferences >> General (Mac)
Then put a checkmark in the box against “Allow Floating Documents in Expert Mode”
Click OK
You can now open your two images and use the layout button at the bottom to choose various configurations or to cascade.

Combining two sales documents into one billing document

Hi Friends,
I need to combine two sales document into one billing document. Header data is same in both sales document.
I have set factory calendar in the payer master.
Tried for data transfer rotine at copy control of item level. But was not sure which routine to be set.
Please let me know, what all settings are required to create one combine billing document.

Is it delivery based billing or order based billing?
2 orders / 2 deliveries and 1 invoice.
For the above situation you need to write a routine which eliminates document number difference for Reference and Allocation.
If you do not have different customer purchase orders for these two sales orders and in your copy control from delivery to billing your assignment and reference numbers are blank then system will club these deliveries and create one sales order.
Else you need to eliminate these by writing a copy control routine and assign it at the header level.

Open two files / documents

I just upgraded to CS 4. In CS 3 you could open more than one ID file and drag pages from one document to another, etc. etc. But by default, ID only opens one file at a time with a tile bar to switch between the two files.
Is there a way to set ID so that it opens two files like before?

In the Interface options, disable Open Documents as Tabs.
That said, instead of dragging pages, open the pages panel menu and use
the move pages command. It's far easier to use and much more precise.

Two FI documents for one billing document.

Hi,
This problem occurs rarely. We do VF04 and generate billing documents. Some billing documents thus generated were not found as actual billing documents by looking at VF03 but are posted in FI in the corresponding company code. When we see these documents in FB03, the header of the document indicates that they came from billing and are not manually posted in FI, thus indicating that billing ran, the FI document was processed, but the billing for some reason failed to be saved in SD. For each of these FI document which do not have a corresponding billing document in FI, there is one more billing document which is existing with the same billing amount and references the same details. It has a corresponding FI document too. So, the crux of the issue is there one only one billing document and two FI documents.
SAP service has given an OSS note 92592 to find out all the orphaned FI documents and then a way to reverse these documents. This is sort of a workaround. But the root cause for this issue is not found. The note also says the following..
"In one of the function modules called by FI/CO interface, a 'commit work' is performed.
A 'commit work' can, for example, be triggered in a Native SQL or result from an RFC.
A commit work is not allowed here.
The commit work should not be performed until the billing document is transferred to the update program."
I have gone through most of the custom codes written by us in the SD billing and FI accounting areas. None of the custom codes use 'commit work' staements. Since this issue doesn't happen frequently, we understood that this is due to a 'commit work' problem in the database but are unable to nail down on the exact piece of code.
Any suggestions/ideas or experiences of similar instances, please share.

Explicit commit work wasn't very likely (but of course you never know). Now you should extend your search for the implicit commit works -> database commit.
"Database commits are triggered either implicitly or explicitly in an SAP system.
<b>Implicit Database Commits</b>
The implicit database commits in an SAP system are caused by the fact that the SAP system is logged on to the database system via its work processes . A work process can only ever execute a single database LUW but cannot interfere with the database LUWs belonging to other work processes. Since an ABAP program can be executed by different work processes during its runtime, the database LUW for the current work process must be completed each time an action takes place that leads to a change of work process. As a result, a database commit is performed implicitly in the following situation:
Completion of a dialog step
The program waits for a user action and does not occupy a work process during this time. The next free work process is assigned to the program in the next dialog step.
Calling a function module in a synchronous or asynchronous Remote Function Call
The current work process hands over control to a different work process or system.
Completion of a function module accessed with a synchronous Remote Function Call in a separate work process
The calling program is assigned a new work process.
Execution of a RECEIVE statement in a callback routine specified in an asynchronous RFC
The current work process is interrupted so that the data can be received from the other application server.

Database commits can be triggered explicitly in ABAP programs in the following ways:
Use of the corresponding database-specific native sql statement.
Calling the function module DB_COMMIT.
This function module, which has no parameters, encapsulates the corresponding native sql statement.
Executing the open sql statement COMMIT WORK."
Maybe there is somewhere a wait or sometimes a RFC is called - that are the most likely implicit commits.
Also calls of standard FMs can contain dangerous coding - include calling of 'bigger' standard functions into your search (not something like 'MARA_SINGLE_READ', but all BAPI).

Two FI documents for one MIRO invoice

Hi,
I would like to now why for some invoices SAP generates two FI documents. For example: I got two FI docs. generated to one invoice, first document has normal line items like almost all FI docs for MIRO invoices but the second one has just two items and it looks like FI document generated in MR21 transaction.
Why system additionally generated price change document ?

Check in OMR4 - document types in invoice verification - for transaction MIRO - any additional document type has been maintained. If there is any material revaluation then you can see two separate documents -one for IV and another for revaluation.

Cant't open a PDF document from a web browser

When I am trying to open a PDF documents from a web browser a message pop out:
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem
And then :
Internet explorer has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

Can you merge two pages documents into one in new pages?

I have a report and a few separate documents which I'd like to merge into one document. I've read that you can do this from thumbnails and copy the thumbnail but I just can't seem to do that either with right click or cmd C. (and the advice seemed to be pre the new pages) I want to merge them without making them into PDFs (still want them editable).
I have all the latest updates and system.

My solution won't work without Pages '09. It is no longer available from Apple, though for about $20 USD one can get it from Amazon, and once installed in Yosemite, it must be updated from an Apple iWork 9.3 updater.
If you had previously purchased Pages '09 from the OS X App Store, and it resides on an older Mac with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, you should use the App Store to update it to v4.3. On those machines, the App Store will tell you that newer, incompatible Pages versions exist, and then it will offer to update your Pages '09 to the latest (4.3) version. Once this is done, you can simply copy that /Applications/Pages.app to a USB stick, create a new /Applications/iWork '09 folder on Yosemite, and transfer the Pages.app into that folder. If your Pages '09 was purchased on DVD, you will not be able to transfer it — and must be a new install on Yosemite, followed by the linked updater above. Takes all the joy out of working on a Mac.
There is no assurance that Pages '09 will continue to work properly after forthcoming OS X updates. The ability to export via the Share menu and automatically open Apple Mail with the export as attachment feature is now broken.
Pages v5.5.2, which is now available in the OS X App Store Updates — still does not support the solution you would like.

Firefox opens two copies every time, one with my tabs and one without, and if I close one, both close

Firefox allows multiple home tabs, if you want to use that feature, but they all open in the same window. You do not get separate windows.
Just to clarify, the Windows Task Bar may show individual entries for each tab even if they are in a single window. You can turn that on/off in the Options dialog under Tabs: "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar".
Could the problem be the extension named "Speedial 9.5.5"? If you don't need that one, try removing or at least disabling it. You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then your extensions should be listed on the right side.

Split Two-Page Document into One-Page Document

I am currently partaking in a rather large digitalization project which involves digitizing a great many journal articles. The resultant PDFs I have from the scanning which has taken place display two pages of the relevant journal article on each one page of the PDF.
What I wish to have is one journal page for each PDF page. The way I have been accomplishing this up to this point has been quite onerous:
- I have been extracting each page of the PDFs into individual files
- I then have inserted each page back into the PDF to create a double of each page
- I then crop all odd pages on the right, so that only the left journal page is displayed
- I then crop all even pages on the left, so that only the right journal page is displayed
Clearly, this is a long process, and I'm hoping there is an easier way to accomplish this in Acrobat Professional, or at least a utility which will aid in this process that someone knows of.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Assuming the scans are of individual pages, you should be able to view them as single pages by selecting View>Page Display>Single Page.

I am having trouble with the this site. It loads but keeps on trying to load. in the tab it flashes connecting ....emails and passwords not retained...connecting ...and so on.
the functionality of the page does not allow scrolling through the page it just goes back to the opening position.
this page and my hotmail page does not function as they should.

Open pdf's, documents in new browser window SharePoint 2010

Hi all,
when a user clicks on pdf's, documents, html pages etc in a document library I need them to open in a new browser window. I've found lots of articles on how to do it in 2007 but none work in 2010. I know its not an out of the box function but people
have done it with Java script or adding code to the document library allitems.aspx web part, I just can't replicate those steps in 2010.
I'm not a developer or anything but can put code in the right place using SharePoint designer 2010.

Create a Document Library called ScriptLibrary.
Download the Jquery library here: http://ajax.aspnetcdn.com/ajax/jQuery/jquery-1.4.4.min.js
Create a new file called: OpenPDF.js
Paste the following Code in the file:

Upload both files to your newly created ScriptLibrary.
The ScriptLibrary should have 2 files: jquery-1.4.4.min.js and OpenPDF.js
Navigate to the List Page that has the PDF's that you need opened in a new window.
Click Site Actions: Edit Page,
Insert > Content Editor WebPart
Click to Edit the HTML Source of the HTML WebPart, then paste in the following to reference the two files you uploaded to your Script Library:

*The src needs to point to the files you uploaded
Save the page then click on a PDF, it should open in a new window.

Opening a pdf document in a new window on click of commandLink in ADF

I think you can't anything do about it if your popup blocker prevents the page to open.
Some such blockers allow to add white lists of url which are allowed to open popups.

Open multiple pdf's in one acrobat window

On my new Vista OS, I can't figure out how to set my adobe reader 8 back to where it opens multiple pdfs into one window so you can just click between them rather than multiple windows.
