I have the following doubt:
We created the text of Description Standard for a Category using the T.code PHAP_CATALOG_PA.
We have ESS/MSS and have the following doubt:
If I want display this text for ESS/MSS I need use the Type of Description "X Web Laout"?
There are is a funcionallity standard(Report) that copy the text created with the text of Description Standard to Type of
Description "X Web Laout" for not do the same two twice?

Hi,
I have done appraisal document creation for bulk using txt file.
this fm used for single for creation in standard tcode (phap_prepare): 'WZ_HRHAP_0DOC_WZ01_START'.
So create ztcode usinh this fm for single form then record BDC for this tcode and called this tcode in that bdc for bulk creation .
While recording for single I have used manual option instead of automatic .

No measures found in the OLAP catalog for user CS_OLAP

Working in XP, with Oracle Database 10g 10.2.0.1.0, AWM 10.2.0.1A, JDeveloper installed from the 10.1.2.0.2 Developer Suite, BI Samples are 10.1.2.0.0)
I'm receiving this error when connecting to the CS_OLAP schema through JDeveloper:
"Warning: No measures were found in the OLAP catalog for user CS_OLAP; therefore, you will not be able to create OLAP queries with this connection."
From the top...
I've installed the sample databases (oe, pm, sh, etc..) from the Companion CD. The SH schema (required for installation of CS_OLAP) is present.
I've executed install.bat from the ...\common_schema directory. It creates the CS_OLAP tablespace and user. There are no errors in the log file. It appears to be building the datafile. When it finishes, Enterprise Manager shows the CS_OLAP tablespace using 87% of its 325MB allocation.
In Enterprise Manager, there are a total of three tables listed for the CS_OLAP schema. They are: AW$AWDEBUG, AW$SHAW, and AW$UTILS. There are no "regular" tables listed, just these three Analytic Workspaces. I open an OLAP Worksheet in AWM, and I can execute AW ATTACH CS_OLAP.SHAW FIRST RO, and see all of the objects in the AW. They are populated with dimension values and data. It's a full blown AW.
I then installed the BI Beans sample applications. Again, no problems during installation.
I opened JDeveloper, drilled on the BIBEANS sample workspace, opened the CATALOG project, and checked the connection settings for the catalogBIDesigner. The TEST of the connection was successful, but I received that warning message. The 'Presentation 1' crosstab returns no data, only the little default table. Basically, the system can't see any data in the CS_OLAP schema.
So, an AW has been created for CS_OLAP, it's populated with dimensions and data, but JDeveloper doesn't see the contents.

Nevermind.
The answer is found in the version of the BI Samples zip file.
BI_10_1_2_1_0_samples.zip works just fine.
BI_10_1_2_0_0_samples.zip didn't.

Best way to start a new catalog for 2009 ?

What's the best way to start a new catalog for the new year, with all the keywords and all the presets of the modules (without having to export all the folders) of previous catalog 2008 ?

Well there is a cost too in not being able to find all your images in a single step, and inconsistencies soon develop - eg a keyword is plural in one catalogue, singular in another. Speed or stability issues are not simply related to catalogue size, and I've seen decently-performing catalogues 50% bigger than yours (as well as slow ones of a few hundred images). Have you optimized the catalogue recently?
But if you think it's a good idea to fragment control of your picture collection.... Presets will be carried over to a new catalogue as they belong to the machine (unless you have the save with catalogue preference turned on). Keywords can be moved via the Metadata > Export and Import Keywords command. If you have lots of collections and smart collections, then maybe make a copy of your existing catalogue and then remove all the items from it - making sure you don't trash them of course.

MDT 2012 Deployment Workbench cannot genererate catalog for any images

It just hangs generating a catalog for the operating system (Windows 7 64-bit) and says it "could take a long time."
I have tried with multiple images.
I have waited a long time (more than 30 minutes) and the progress bar will not move.
I click Stop Execution and it tries to stop, but doesn't compete the process of stopping.
The only way to get out of it is to use task manager to force it to quit. Then the Deployment Workbench will no longer load until the entire server is restarted.
How can this be fixed?

If you're storing the image on a filer, it can take a bit sometimes to process a catalog file. If you're really curious what the heck it's doing and think it's frozen -- because I've gotten into the same place and thought what is this thing doing?? Check
the logfile it generates at %temp%\Microsoft.BDD.Catalog.log . It doesn't log much but will log progress for you.
Also, the image needs to be open for a catalog to be created. It will mount it in the same %temp% directory, under a long path named after the tasksequence ID. That error you saw when on another account was most likely that the WIM you were building
a catalog for was already mounted, or the mount was corrupted at that point. To resolve an error like that in the future -
1. dism /get-mountedwiminfo -- note the really long pathed image mounted to the temp directory.
2. dism /unmount-wim /mountdir:%TEMP%\whateverthefolderis /discard
3. Retry catalog creation. Usually any errors during catalog creation will be from a stale image or image in use. Checking /get-mountedwiminfo will often tell you right away if there's an issue and mark the status : Needs Remount.
Best bet with creating catalogs, watch the bdd catalog log in temp and just don't touch anything else for 15-60mins depending on network latency. Hope this helps.

Newly-added field missing in the field catalog for NR00

I am about to creat condition record for condition type NR00 free goods . I need to make some customizing to meet our requirement .So I changed the field catalog for the condition table by adding a new field BWAST (purchasing document type) . After that I am going to creat a new condition table 501 with this newly-added field ,but I can't find the field in the right part for field catalog .
Can you give me some advice ? Thank you in advance.

Use of field TEXT_FIELDNAME in Field Catalog for ALV

Could any one pls tell me the relevance (purpose) of the field TEXT_FIELDNAME in Field catalog for an ALV ?
How is it different from the fields such as seltext_l, seltext_m, seltext_s ? When is it necessary to assign a value to this field ?

Refer to the following
TEXT_FIELDNAME : Field name of internal table field. You can use this field to define a reference to a field that is used as the description for the current field. If a subtotal is calculated for the current field, the ALV Grid Control displays the descriptions in the field assigned.
Example: Your output table contains one column for material numbers and one column for the description of what these numbers mean (such as clockwork). If you calculate subtotals for the material numbers, only these numbers are usually displayed as the subtotals text. Based on the link to TXT_FIELD , you can refer to the corresponding column with the material description. This description is then used as the subtotals text.
SELTEXT_L : Long key word (40 chars long). Determines the text to be used in the column selection for the column. A value should be assigned to this field if it does not have a Data Dictionary reference.
SELTEXT_M : Medium key word (20 chars long). Determines the text to be used in the column selection for the column. A value should be assigned to this field if it does not have a Data Dictionary reference.
SELTEXT_S : Short key word (10 chars long). Determines the text to be used in the column selection for the column. A value should be assigned to this field if it does not have a Data Dictionary reference.

Its required as there are many custom fields to be used for field catalog creation and adding them in one of the existing tables listed is not a feasible option for us. Please let me knw if its possible..?? If yes how to get it done..??

You need to add your field in the Data Dictionary first. For example, if
you want the new field in the Order Item field catalog do the following.
Look at structure MCVBAPUSR (SE11). If you already have a user structure
appended to this structure then you can add your new field to your existing
structure. If there is no structure already appended to MCVBAPUSR then you
must create a new structure with your field in it and then append the new
structure to this one.
If you look at structure MCVBAP you will see the data appended to the end
of it.
Now you should see it in the field catalog.

Hi Chris,
This component must be deployed in Portal because have a lot of services which need ESS in order to work properly. According with note 1408243 you must add those business components in your iView and only are available in that component. Once you deploy this component you do not need to assign any special role to users. The business object component is in Content Administration --> Portal Content --> Business Object --> ERP Common Parts --> Human Resources --> Employee.

Digital Catalog for iOS Devices?

Hello I am trying to make an epub and/or an online catalog for my business so people can open them up on an Ipad. If someone could possibly tell me the steps to how to do this, that would be really awesome. I have already made the pages in photoshop and Illustrator CS5 and arranged them in InDesign CS5 then exported them to Flash to create the buttons to switch pages, then converted to an html file using wallaby technologies, but when I try opening it up in the html file the buttons will not work or even show up. I even tried switching the buttons to ones I have made in Illustrator and it still didn't work. It works fine when I am opening it up the swf file on my computer but I cant send the swf file for some reason. And my objective is to send this online catalog out by mail and emails. If someone could please help me accomplish this, I would much appreciate this.
And no I do not have a couple hundred to buy Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.
I have Adobe Design Premium CS5 which includes: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, flash, flash catalyst, fireworks, media encoder, bridge, device central, & extension manager.
Can someone help me without telling me to buy something else?

Hi,
Go to T-code QS41, give the catalog and code group and enter.
U can click on the code after selecting the code group and create new codes.
In SPRO u should see which type of catalog is assigned to the notification type. This u can see in the overview of the notification type by selecting the notification type in SPRO.

Hi,
You can do this in PPOMA_BBP transaction. Excluded tab is in display mode because you may have added the catalog at Purchasing grp levels.
Insteading of adding the catalogs at purchasing grp levels add the catalogs at the Purchasing Org level.
Then all the catalogs will be inherited in below purchasing grps, there you can check exclude tab for one which you dont want in that purchasing grp.
