Change default colours in quiz template

Hi,
I'm using the Flash quiz templates to make some quizzes.
Can anyone tell me how to change the colour of the message
text AFTER an option has been selected. I can change the colour of
the 'Make a selection' text but once the selection has been made
(ie the option box checked) the default blue is used for the
correct answer text and the default red is used for the message
text. I'd like to make them the same colour as the rest of the text
I am using in the quiz.

Here's how to have your templates available in the "File New From Template" in Adobe Illustrator for Windows.
What you need to have
Administrator access to your machine.
What you need to know
The default directory for Adobe Illustrator templates is here (for CS5.1)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5.1\Cool Extras\en_US\Templates
The default Windows security doesn't allow shortcuts to be created directly under that directory.
You can, however, create the shortcut indirectly!
What you need to do
In Summary
Create one (or multiple) folder shortcut(s) in the default Illustrator template directory.
In Detail
Open Illustrator
Select File -> New From Template
Drop down the "Look in" drop-down, note the directory:C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5.1\Cool Extras\en_US\Templates
Open a Windows Explorer, and navigate to that directory
Open another Windows Explorer, and navigate to the directory where you keep your templates.
Right-click-drag your folder from the second Explorer (your directory) to the first Explorer (default templates) and drop.
Select "Create shortcut" from the right-click popup menu that appears when you "drop" (release the mouse button).
Windows will display a message "Shortcut cannot be created here, do you want to create it on the desktop".
Select Yes.
Move the directory shortcut to the Illustrator to the first Explorer (default templates directory)
Windows will ask for Administrator permissions.
Select Yes.
You can right-click on the template shortcut and rename it without the " - Shortcut" suffix; you'll have to grant Administrator permissions for that as well.
After completing these steps, your template shortcut will appear properly and you can select it. Happy designing!

How can I change defaults by making a template

I keep trying to change the defaults in Pages 2.0.1 (font and spacing for text, to Fixed on page and no extra space for shapes). I can't get the Shapes default changed to Fixed on page; the extra space has changed to 0). And sometimes I can't create a new define default text style (Format>Advance>). After making new settings I Save a Template and then change the Preference to open new documents with my template.
Is it me or is it Pages? Any help greatly appreciated.

Making a template allows you to define particular objects, and also styles, that you include in it. For example, you can define your body text, heading text, and etc. for it - using sufficient placeholder text or images to show what each template or page layout you include in it contains. It does not reset defaults, nor overcome a general deficiency still in Pages 2 to define them.

When I use the open from template it defaults to the template folder in the program folders.

Changing the colors of a Captivate 5.5 Quiz Template

I like a few of the Cp5.5 quiz templates but I'd like to adjust the colors of the slides to match the theme I am working with. Is there any way to do this? For example, the Clean_Blue theme has a kind of teal colored box at the top of the slide. Is there anyway to change the color of this box?
It looks like if you open them up in Photoshop or Fireworks they are all the same image/layer.

I have been doing just that but I noticed something really strange. If I change the colour of the main top header then it moves off to the left. Therefore it is no longer centre on the screen.
Any ideas? I'm attaching screenshots for you.

Thanks Gary, but no, that does not work. First of all, I can't select each bar individually. When I click on one bar, all three bars are selected.
When I use "inspector > graphic" I have 5 fill options: none, color, gradient, image, tinted image. The default selection for the theme I'm using is image. What I would like to use for my charts is the same image that this theme uses for table headers. It has the same texture as the chart, but a different colour. Using anything but image or tinted image removes the texture from the fill.
I have found I can do one of two things. I can select tinted image from the fill selections in "inspector > graphic" or I can select 2D Image Fills from "inspector > chart > chart colors". The first choice does not allow me to match the table header colour because it only allows me to apply a tint to the existing colour and adjust its opacity. The existing colour has too much influence on the fill, so I can't find an RGB adjustment that will match the table header colour. The image selections from "inspector > chart > chart colors" do not quite match the colour or the texture. Again, I can try to tint the image, but I still can't get it to match and the texture is not the same anyway.
The image I want to use obviously exists in the software as it is an attribute of the theme, but for some reason is inaccessible. The other angle I have tried is to edit the theme, but I can't figure out how to do that either.

Changing default template layout from pdf to excel

I've created an .rtf layout template. When I run the concurrent program, the layout defaults to pdf format. Is there anyway to change this to excel so that the user doesn't have to go into options each time and select excel?

Well, I'm getting closer. I have resorted the legend according to the order of the lines on the chart, by doing the following:
> chart expert
> data tab
> select field from "On change of" list
> Top N button
> For this group sort "All", based on the same field as I selected from the "On Change of" list, in descending order
> click OK and OK again.
Although this worked, I'm pretty sure it's sorting on the wrong year. I would like the legend to be sorted descending, according to the values in 2010, not 2006, which it appears to be doing. Any ideas?
By the way, my apologies if I mislead anyone by saying I have grouped charts. It's actually an advanced report that is grouped by one of my data fields. This produces a new chart for each group automatically.

Change default template for a given Theme

Can we change the default template for a theme ? (if yes, how). I had selected theme 3 (business) during the creation of my application with 2 level tabs. After creating parent tabs and standard tabs and getting it working I changed the theme to theme 12 (blue). When the theme got switched, the default application page template became a 1 level tab.
This was because for Theme 12, the default Page template is 1 level tab. I want to change this default Page template to 2 level tabs. I couldn't see option of making this as a default.

Sorry, I found the answer in the documentation in Chapter 7 under
"Changing Default Templates in a Theme".

Change Smart View default colours for all clients

I need to change Smart View default colours. But it must be done in a centralized way, so I can not set it up at the client level. I'm not sure if Smart View takes defaults from planning.css styles, or if they're defined somehow at the provider, or maybe specified in client installer.

- Thats all I want to do, the holy grail of desktop publishing, being able to choose a colour and apply it everywhere, c'mon Apple sort it out, its surely not rocket surgery....

I figured it out.
Select one instance of the hyperlink, and define it as a character style in the styles drawer.
Then create the preferred style you want to use for hyperlinks and save it to character styles.
You can select every instance of the original link style, and replace with the preferred style.
Hopefully I've explained this adequately.

Yes, it would be a modification, and if you caused damage doing it, warranty wouldn't cover it.
But if your hard drive, memory, logic board failed... these are likely not to be caused by the screen modification, so they'd still be covered.
Again, the warranty, paraphrased slightly, says 'does not cover damages caused by unauthorized service or unauthorized modification'.
Some products have a sticker over their screws, clearly stating 'warranty void if this sticker is damaged or removed'. Apple has no such stickers, and no such wording in the warranty document. On something like a computer, it would be extremely impractical to implement measures like that.

I can't change the colour of linked text?

I have a black background on the side of my web page containing the menu bars which requires the link text to be white so it can be
seen. I also have it set to change to yellow when you hover over it.
The problem is that this setting seems universal throughout the website and I cannot get the links in general text (such as 'contact
us' links, etc) on each page to change colour - they default to white which doesn't show up as the background is also white.
i have tried creating a CSS rule for links in the body of a page but to no avail.
Can I change the colour of links on different parts of the website?
I am relatively new to dreamweaver with little knowledge of CSS, etc but I'm sure this must be possible.

How to change default thresholds for some metrics of all targets.

We have a lot of servers which have to work hard.
So, our OEM very often generates messages like these:
"EM Alert: Critical:dbsora90.tsb.kz - CPU Utilization is 99.95%, crossed warning (80) or critical (95) threshold."
"EM Alert: Critical:dbsora94.tsb.kz - Disk Device c8t60A9800043346C384C344A4A63516D6Ad0(ssd4) is 99.7% busy."
"EM Alert: Critical:dbsora94.tsb.kz - CPU Load (Run Queue Length averaged over 5 minutes) is 20.78, crossed warning (10) or critical (20) threshold."
I need to change default tresholds for mentioned metrics but I can't their defenition in SYSMAN.MGMT_*-tables or suitable settings in OEM GUI.
And I have no time to edit treshholds manually for each target. )

Modification of Metric Thresholds (as this is what you are referring to), should be done using the Metrics and Policy Settings link (to be found in the Target Home page).
Don't mess around with the SYSMAN tables!
Best thing to do here is to start using Monitoring Templates for this.

Could you tell me, step by step, how to change default approval for ResourceAuthorizerApproval (only for my new defined resource).

Ok, I made new tamplate (copy of existing one), there I changed Template Level Approval Process and set allowed resources. It seems to be ok :)

How to change default font in 5.5.2 (Yosemite)

I've found threads about this for earlier versions, but not the new. I was able to make a new template with the defaults I want, but I want to be able to change the default for any blank template. Nearly the ENTIRE industry standard for print magazines, books and newspapers is Times New Roman, 12pt. Yet Apple insists on Helvetica (?!) and 11pt. Who is this a standard for? I'm curious.

It was built on a free forum, as I did it also for free, and the IP pulled the plug without notice when the 10 years was up for those who ran the free forums.
I was never able to make contact with anyone involved, so lost all my work, about the same time Apple trashed iWork.
I am thinking about starting a new forum under my own aegis, but not looking forward to revisiting what I largely consider a lost cause. i.e. Apple's software.
When Affinity and other quality 3rd party options fall in place I am thinking of building a site around those as a real solution.
