Change Image from the library method

Hi guys,
I am new to this plateform and I am working on a library in objective-c for iPhone application. I am facing one problem in this, In my application a view is going to create on the click of the button and the code to create the view has been written in library methods and I have placed some buttons and labels on the view, I want to remove old and add new buttons on this view at run time from my library code. I am able to call the methods of library on the click of button but not able to add the buttons at runtime.
Is there any way to add and remove buttons from the library code not from the AppDelegate file.
Thanks,
Ishita

Hi Refringgers,
Install the 30 day trial of Aperture. Open your Aperture Library, export the Masters and Versions.
Other than that I will make a strong recommendation not to muck within the Aperture library. Yes, you can find your photos in there, but if you ever decide to again use it may well be unable to be opened. The other thing is the photos are scattered around in a gazillion folders it would take a long time, of course depending on the number of photos, to retrieve them.
Cordially,

  • How to load images from the library (png)?

    This is my first time using the forum so sorry if it's not professionally set up. I am trying to make an inventory system and I'm trying to find a way to have a Slot (MovieClip) holding a child of probably another MovieClip witch will display the icon according to whatever is in that Slot... As soon as I figure out how to have a MovieClip display an image and then change that image by loading it from the library, I can finish the rest! So let me try to demonstrate:
    (Note: This is not actual code, it's just a demonstration of what I'm trying to accomplish)
    Item1 = Name: "HP Potion", Icon: "HP_Potion.png"
    Item2 = Name: "MP Potion", Icon: "MP_Potion.png"
    Item3 = Name: "Sword", Icon: "Sword.png"
    Item4 = Name: "Shield", Icon: "Shield.png"
    Slot1.nameField.text = Item1.Name //HP Potion
    Slot1.mc_img = Item1.Icon//HP_Potion.png
    ~Ok so what I am trying to do is see if there is a way to change what image the MovieClip displays, just by code. I don't want to put each individual picture in a frame on the MovieClip's timeline
    Sorry about not having any code, I've been working on it for a few hours, and I can't find anything online that doesn't say put it in a timeline.
    If you know how to do what I'm asking with a spritesheet instead of individual images, that's fine too! I'll just have to join all the images together

    Alright so let's get down to buisness... what I'm asking, is it impossible to make it simple? I can't just change the bitmap of the MovieClip. If you open up the MovieClip and view it's timeline, the image is a bitmap file withing that MovieClip so if you're able to manipulate other things of a MovieClip, you should be able to manipulate that too right? Such as "MovieClip.Bitmap" (I know that's not the actual property but could it be done?).

  • Extracting images from the library.

    Hi All,
    Quick question. I use SmugMug to display all my images on the web but am unsure how to do this since switching to MAC and Aperture.
    I used to just go to SmugMug and then browse my (PC) hard drive for the image I wanted to upload, but it seems that when I am using Aperture they are all included in the Library so you can't get to individual images.
    Do I need to extract the images from Aperture onto the Hard Drive seperate from the Library?
    Cheers.

    Yes. However, this is pretty simple. And if you're using RAW files (which is what you probably want to do if using Aperture), you'll have to export them as JPEG (actualy SmugMug will take TIFF but it will auto-convert it to JPEG).
    First, edit your files in Aperture. Then select export versions in Aperture, and export as whatever you want -- I use full-size JPEG, quality 10. This gives files in the 1.8-2.2 MB range for my 1D mark II.
    Then download the Smugmug uploader from Smugmug's site (don't know where on the site it is, but it's there). Export your files from Aperture to a folder, then double-click to open the folder. Launch Smugmug uploader, click the "files" tab on the top, select all the files in teh finder, and drag them to the little well. You'll see something like "ready to upload 77 files", click upload, and wait.
    I know this process pretty well as I've done it a bit myself... you can see blloyd.smugmug.com for some of the stuff I've thrown up there.

  • Erasing unused, (never-to-be-used) images from the Library. How, please?

    Is there a way to Globally-Delete a subset of, or all of, the images in the Library? I want to erase all images that are NOT being used in a Album, Slideshow, or Book.
    I take many near-duplicate shots and later select only one or two for use. The accumulated never-to-be used images are becoming overwhelming. doing it manually will take many hours and there is no way to be sure that a Library image is not used in a Album, Slideshow or Book...at least that I am aware of.
    I really do not need to keep 8445+ images in the Library
    Many thanks,
    Fred

    Make a smart album - album is not any
    and delete from there in groups of 100 or so emptying the iPhoto trash for each group - command-option-delete deletes photos from the library while you are in an album -- or you can flag 100 or so and control-option-delete deletes flagged photos

  • IPhoto Library is Synced onto my iPhone can i retrieve the images from the library off my iPhone, as the library file has been deleted on my Macintosh.

    Dear All;
    I currently have a issue with my iPhoto & iPhone, i apologize if this is the incorrect area for assistance.
    My iPhoto library has been synced with my iphone all my images/photos are saved onto the phone, but i want to put them back onto my Mac, unfortunately my iphoto library has been deleted (actual file). is there any way to achieve this?
    i have tried syncing the photos but i believe it will delete them, and update with my current library (no images).
    i have also tried to take the images off via iphoto & image capture but they only take newly taken images not the photos in the old library stored on my iphone.
    i am using an iPhone 4S, Macbook Pro 2010 & current version of iPhoto.
    Please advise if there is any way to move an iphoto library from iphone to mac.
    Thanks & Kind Regards
    Jordan.

    Correct, you don't want to sync.
    There are various apps that will recover images from an iOS device.
    http://macupdate.com/app/mac/24832/ipod-access-photo
    is one, but there are others.

  • I do not have Aperture installed on my computer anymore but I do have my old library.  Is there any way to extract the ORIGINAL image from the library without having Aperture installed?

    I started using Aperture back when it first came out.  I really had no idea what I was doing when I set everything up.  I got a new computer but do not have my Aperture disc anymore but I do have my old library.  I can get into the library and find the pictures in the Preview and Thumbnails folders, but these obviously are not the original pictures.  The ones in the Preview folder are only 10% of the size of the original digial photo.  I want to know if there is any way to get or reconstruct the original picture using the files in the library without installing Aperture.

  • Is there an ability to preview images from the library?

    I feel dumb for asking this, but is there a way to preview images on what they look like without having to drag the asset out onto the stage? If I have even two or three versions of a file imported into my library, I constantly need to leave the program to check which is which. I suppose I could get more descriptive with the file name, but they're getting pretty long as it is.

    Hi, chirpieguy-
    Not at the moment, but it's a known request and is logged in our wish list.

  • Can't drag image onto stage in new layer, from the library?

    For a text book assignment we have to make a new layer and then drag a image from the library panel onto the stage but it won't let me? The new layer doesn't look the same as the rest in the timeline panel too.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your advice, but sadly it isn't locked. I can drag an image onto a layer already there just not a new layer for some reason. I'm behind in class because of this issue but I'm at a loss. I know how to take a screen shot but how do I add it to here, I pasted it in microsoft word but it wouldn't allow me to upload it as a image...

  • Exporting images from the Captivate 5 Library

    I am able to export Captivate 4 images to a folder. I am able to export Captivate 5 images to a folder, but they cannot be opened with Fireworks or any other application I've tried. Although the file is a bmp, Fireworks says, "Could not open the file. Unknown file type." Am I the only one experiencing this problem?
    thomas

    Yes. I can right-click and edit a background in Fireworks, but what I'm talking about here is different. Captivate has long offered the option to export images from the library. This has been, and still is easy. The difference is that it doesn't work. The exported files are not readable.

  • Adding images from my library to empty mc in loop

    Hi
    I am 1 step away from finishing my for loop. I have a item mc I have duplicated 8 items (indexarray.length) and what my loop currently does is display these 8 blank movieclips on the screen positioned 4 in each row. Inside this blank item mc I have a dynamic text field name_text within this item that call on names from a previously declared array. I also have a empty movieclip called image_holder with property name imageHolder. So far the below displays my 8 items with names but without the image:
    function displayItems()
    var xPos = 0;
    var yPos = 0;
    for (var i:Number=0; i<indexArray.length; i++)
    var item:NewItem = new NewItem();
    item.name = "item" + i;
    MainItem.addChild(item);
    item.alpha = 30;
    //item.indexValue = (randomArray[i]+1)*2;
    item.x = xPos;
    item.y = yPos;
    xPos += (70*2 + 15);
    if (i == indexArray.length/2-1)
    xPos = 0;
    yPos += (70*2 + 50);
    item.name_text.text = indexArray[orderArray[i]];
    //add images here
    displayItems();
    All my images are in my library in movieclips name item0 to item 7 to fit in accordingly. What do I need to add to the above code to get these images inside my image_holder mc?
    Thanks in advance
    Mark

    You will need to assign class names to your image movieclips in the library.  The standard is to name classes starting with capital letters (so in your case you can use...Item0, Item2, etc...  To assign the class names, right click the image movieclip in the library and select Linkage... in the panel that appears select Export for Actionscript and enter the class name in the field labeled for it.
    It is not clear from your description what the instance name is that you have assigned to the image holder.  The code below assumes you named them image_holder, though you may have used imageHolder, so you may need to change that in what is shown below.  THe code below has three bolded lines added to take care of loading the images from the library.
    function displayItems()
    var xPos = 0;
    var yPos = 0;
    for (var i:Number=0; i<indexArray.length; i++)
    var item:NewItem = new NewItem();
    item.name = "item" + i;
    MainItem.addChild(item);
    item.alpha = 30;
    //item.indexValue = (randomArray[i]+1)*2;
    item.x = xPos;
    item.y = yPos;
    xPos += (70*2 + 15);
    if (i == indexArray.length/2-1)
    xPos = 0;
    yPos += (70*2 + 50);
    item.name_text.text = indexArray[orderArray[i]];
    //add images here
    var ClassRef:Class = Class(getDefinitionByName("Item"+String(i)));
    var classInstance:* = new ClassRef();
    item.image_holder.addChild(classInstance);
    displayItems();

  • How to reduce memory usage when loading bitmaps from the library?

    When I use BitmapData.loadBitmap() to load an image from the library and then attachBitmap() to add it to a MovieClip it takes a lot more memory as opposed to just having the same image inside a MovieClip statically in a frame on it's timeline.
    The function dispose() not only clears the BitmapData object but also destroys the previously attached bitmap inside the MovieClip, so it can not be used to free any memory.
    Is it how it is supposed to be or is there any other way to dynamically attach bitmaps with memory usage comparable to just having them on stage?

    no, you use attachMovie() to create instance from library movieclips that have a linkage id.
    you can then create a bitmapdata instance and use the draw() method to overlay as many as needed.

  • Hi all.When pressed play and make some changes in loop (eg fade in fade out) are very slow to implement, and also the loops from the library are very slow to play, corrects the somewhat self so is the Logic??

    hi all.When pressed play and make some changes in loop (eg fade in fade out) are very slow to implement, and also the loops from the library are very slow to play, corrects the somewhat self so is the Logic??

    Hey there Logic Pro21,
    It sounds like you are seeing some odd performance issues with Logic Pro X. I recommend these troubleshooting steps specifically from the following article to help troubleshoot what is happening:
    Logic Pro X: Troubleshooting basics
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5859
    Verify that your computer meets the system requirements for Logic Pro X
    See Logic Pro X Technical Specifications.
    Test using the computer's built-in audio hardware
    If you use external audio hardware, try setting Logic Pro X to use the built-in audio hardware on your computer. Choose Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio from the main menu and click the Devices tab. Choose the built in audio hardware from the Input Device and Output Device pop-up menus. If the issue is resolved using built-in audio, refer to the manufacturer of your audio interface.
    Start Logic with a different project template
    Sometimes project files can become damaged, causing unexpected behavior in Logic. If you use a template, damage to the template can cause unexpected results with any project subsequently created from it. To create a completely fresh project choose File > New from Template and select Empty Project in the template selector window. Test to see if the issue is resolved in the new project.
    Sometimes, issues with the data in a project can be repaired. Open an affected project and open the Project Information window with the Project Information key command. Click Reorganize Memory to attempt to repair the project. When you reorganize memory, the current project is checked for any signs of damage, structural problems, and unused blocks. If any unused blocks are found, you will be able to remove these, and repair the project. Project memory is also reorganized automatically after saving or opening a project.
    Delete the user preferences
    You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not impact your media files. To reset your Logic Pro X user preference settings to their original state, do the following:
    In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
    Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
    Press the Go button.
    Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro X, then you may also wish to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
    If you have upgraded from an earlier version of Logic Pro, you should also remove~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro.
    Restart the computer.
    Isolate an issue by using another user account
    For more information see Isolating an issue by using another user account.
    Reinstall Logic Pro X
    Another approach you might consider is reinstalling Logic Pro X. To do this effectively, you need to remove the application, then reinstall Logic Pro X. You don't have to remove everything that was installed with Logic Pro X. Follow the steps below to completely reinstall a fresh copy of Logic Pro X.
    In the Finder, choose Applications from the Go menu.
    Locate the Logic Pro X application and drag it to the trash.
    Open the Mac App Store
    Click the Purchases button in the Mac App Store toolbar.
    Sign in to the Mac App Store using the Apple ID you first used to purchase Logic Pro X.
    Look for Logic Pro X in the list of purchased applications in the App Store. If you don't see Logic Pro X in the list, make sure it's not hidden. See Mac App Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases for more information.
    Click Install to download and install Logic Pro X.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • While installing a program (MediaCenter.exe) to handle audiobooks from the library, I erroneously associated the download site with Windows Media Player instead of the actual application (NetLibrary Media Center). How can I reverse/change this?

    While installing a program (MediaCenter.exe) to handle audiobooks from the library, I erroneously associated the download site with Windows Media Player instead of the actual application (NetLibrary Media Center). How can I reverse/change this? Reinstalling the application does not clear the error, so I'm assuming the association is somewhere in Firefox.

    Never mind -- I just found it under Tools/Options.../Applications, where I changed the incorrect association of "nlmcp" from Windows Media Player to the correct one, NetLibrary Media Center. Done!

  • Moving images from one library to another; or how to have 2 libraries open at the same time in Aperture 2

    This may be something easy but for some reason I am having a hard time figuring this out. Basically this is the situation: I have a library on my MBP hd that I import pictures to when I am not hooked up to my external hd for the time being. The main library is of course on the external 2tb drive. How do I have 2 libraries open so that I can essentially drag and drop the pictures from one library to another? It would basically be like moving files from one project to another. Thanks for any help!

    Always keep a backup of your original images, before you delete them. I make a backup right form the card, before I even import them to Aperture.
    How are your images stored right now? Are the referenced or managed? On your big volume I'd consolidate the newly imported images, to be sure they are really inside the Aperture library before I delete any images outside the library.
    but they have the little yellow triangle caution symbol on them and I can see them but not really edit them
    That is a very typical problem, when you imported your images as referenced images then somehow delete or move the original master image files, that are stored outside the Aperture library.
    Do you still have the original masters of the images with the yellow triangle that you cannot edit? In Aperture 3 you can point Aperture to the location of the master image file "File >Locate referenced image" - probably Aperture 2 has a similar command to let you reconnect your masters, if you still have them. Look into the manual.

  • How do I transfer images from the assets pane over to the library pane?

    Hi!
    Wouldn’t that make sense to be able to quick drag n’ drop items from the assets-pane over into the library-pane?
    …Making the workflow smoother.
    This would help a lot in order to structure the folder’s hierarchy/content – e.g. in Hero_images; Logos; Whatever.
    Otherwise, it’s quit fastidious:
    Assuming I’ve already done some work in a project. Let’s say I have 70 images in my assets pane.
    - I select each image, go to usage in the layout
    - I context-menu-click in order to place the image into the library/Hero_images-folder
    - Times seventy, oughf!     :*
    Drag n’ dropping from one pane to the other would be much comfortable, no?
    Or did I missed something?
    Any hints would be much appreciated!
    Cheers

    Insert the SD card into the iMac. Drag the photos from the iMac to the SD card.
    If you want you can create a new folder on the SD card by selecting the SD card/Finder Menubar/File/New Folder
