Change in Service entry sheet leads to creation of service condition

A new condition will be created (within ML35) when we change prices in the services which are assigned to Model Service Specifications. When we change a price, SAP creates for that activity number  a new condition record. Could we turn this functionality off?
Edited by: Jan la Gasse on Dec 2, 2009 3:37 PM

Thanks for your prompt reply. The condition update has not been selected and the issue still exists. I will try to explain it in more detail.
We create a purchase requisition for services and we fill in a service number on the tab services. This service number belongs to a Model Service specification and has a price of 42 euro in the specification. Price change and condition update of this service are not checked.
In the purchase requisition we fill in a price of 40 euro (service tab). After saving this requisition, SAP creates a service condition of this new price (40) and a validity from date same as creation date. The price in the model specification did not change.
We do not want to create a new service condition (especially not with the only criteria price and validity date, because this can harm other affiliates).
Hopefully you can help me further.
Thanks in advance.

  • Problem in posting Service Entry Sheet for PO containing unplanned services

    Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue with Service POs which are uploaded by a program as a part of Data Migration activity.
    Scenario-
    PO Document Type--> Framework Order
    Account Assignment Cat--> Unknown
Limit Tab in Service PO--> Overall Limit and Expected Value are mentioned
Service Tab- No planned service maintained
    Error Msg No- SE366
    Problem-
While posting SES against this PO - I get a error msg- "No limit for unplanned services amounting to xxx.xx exists" (where xxx.xx is the amount).
    Trials-
    1) I have manually created the same PO in system which allow me to post SES without any problem.
    2) Considering this a a bug I tried to rebuild the PO with report - RMBESTK3 but no success.
    Can anyone please suggest?
    Regards,
    Amit

    Thanks all for prompt reply.
The issue is resolved now. The porblem was under 'limit' tab there is a tab 'Other Limit'. Under this tab there is a check box 'No Limit' - if we manually create such PO then the box is automatically checked which the uploaded POs were lacking. After checking this box manually the problem is resolved.
    Thanks once again for suggestions.
    Regards,

  • Error ' Quantity exceeds quantity in PO' in service entry sheet creation.

    Hi,
I am getting error "Quantity entered 7,000 exceeds quantity 5,000 in purchase order' ,  Message no. SE363" while creating service entry sheet
    PO Quantity - 1 AU
    Service  quantity - 5 HR
in service entry sheet creation i am giving 6HR instead of what is planned in PO
Not sure what driving this error, please help
    Thanks

    Hi
Could you please check if Message SE 363 is set as an E (Error) in the IMG transaction OME0?. If it is set to an error you will not be  able to accept service overdeliveries even if you have the unlimited indicator set.

  • Service no in service entry sheet

    Hi all,
we are creating a unplanned service po and creating the service entry sheet against it .We have a requirement  that after the creation of service entry sheet with the service line items with description alone ,can we able to chnage the service entry sheet to  the service no in these same line items before the approval process. We are not able to incorporate these changes in the same service line item.
we were able to add it in the different service line item.
    Regards,
    velu

    Hi,
Service entry sheet number we cannot able to change because using T-code ML81N and give PO no and doing service process, first the service entry sheet number generated and then we have given actual service qty.
So, we are not able to change service entry sheet no.
Better, deleted service entry sheet and make new service entry sheet for the particular PO.
Hope, it is clear for you.

  • 99 items in service entry sheet

    Hello,
Concerning the transfer of shipment cost items to MM / FI.
This is what's described in notes notes 333656 and 198678:
If you transfer more than 99 account assignment lines to MM, than more than one service entry sheet will be created.
Why this is build up that way? Why not just create 1 service entry sheet for all lines?
Is there a way to avoid that more than 1 service entry sheet is created if more than 99 account assignment lines are transferred? Can you change the maximum number of items in a service entry sheet from 99 to 999 items?
e.g. if you transfer a shipment cost item with 320 account assignment lines, it should not be split up into
        -    3 service entry sheets with 99 items
        -    1 service entry sheet with 23 items
BUT only one service entry sheet should be created with 320 lines...
The reason why this is needed in our case is that we recenty changed the cost distribution from the item categories from "delivery"-level to "delivery item"-level. Because of this change, there are many more account assignment lines per shipment cost item and we get more than 99 account assignment lines per shipment cost item. In some reporting programs (Z*-programs) which do not take into account that one shipment cost item can be transferred into more than one service entry sheet? It's a huge work to correct these reporting programs...
    kr,
    Alexander

    Hi Alexander,
According to the standard system design there is a limit for up to 99 DIFFERENT account assignment lines per whole service
entry sheet document (not per service line in SES).
This is due to technical limitation of the field ESKN-ZEKKN of type NUMC(lenght 2).  I am sorry that I can not provide you a solution within the standard for your problem.
As a workaround, you need to split the services in such a way that you have less then 100 different account assignment combinations.
If you believe that this feature is in general interest of other SAP users, you may apply to get in touch with a SAP User Group ( i.e. DSAG
or ASUG) in order to check the feasibility for opening a development  request, aiming to enhance SAPs product portfolio offering for future
releases. Further details about this could be found in the link
    http://service.sap.com/rollin
    Please see the note:

  • Scaling maintained in Contract does not copy to Service Entry sheet

    Hi All,
I am creating a contract (Quantity Contract- MK) for my courier vendor and I am maintaing the scales in the Price according to the weight.
for example rate for 1 KG = 20 Rs
                                     2 KG = 30 Rs & for 3 KG = 40 KG.
I am creating the service PO with reference to this service contract and the same scaling is working fine in Purchase Order.
But, If I am creating the service Entry sheet with ref to this Service PO; there the same scaling (which is maintained in service contract) is not working. If I change the quantity in SES from 1 to 2 KG then system is not taking the price 30 Rs; instead of this system is deviding the 20 Rs by 2  and making the price per unit as 10 Rs.
    Kindly suggest
    Ashok

    Hello Ashok,
Based on your description it appears that you expect the price to
come from the contract when creating the SES and not the PO.
Note  423289 explains  the system behaviour  for price adoption when
scales are used in contracts. This is also valid for contracts without scales also.
Please see also the attached note 160790.
The SES is posted with the price that is in the purchase order . No
new price determination is done. You will only get the new price
if you create a PO today which now finds the price according to the
    current date.
Hope this information will clarify your query.

  • Autorisation object for accepting service entry sheet in ML81n

    Dear Sapiens,
What is the authorisation object for accepting service entry sheet in ML81n, here with my client some users are not getting the acceptance flag.
    kindly guide.
    Viji kantha

    Hi,
I would like to share with you additional information on activities 75 and 76 to the different release objects:
To accept the service entry sheet the user has to have both
activities 75 and 76. Please note that it is not possible to accept an entry sheet
    without activity 76.
Activity 76 means maintain service entry sheets,
Activity 75 means accept service entry sheets.
In order to accept the entry sheet, you must change into the
change mode. In order to change into the change mode, you
    need the activity 76.
This activity 76 will be used in both creating and changing of the
    entry sheet.

  • Service PO and Service Entry Sheets Question

    Hi Guru,
I need some advice on the following questions in service PO and service entry sheets.
    1) How can i change the default unit of measure in service PO? where is this in customizing?
    2) How can i turn off the message "No message record could
be found for output of message.Save anyway?" when i try to accept a service entry sheet entry?
3)Can someone share with me the business process for service PO?
Is it a must to do MIRO against the service entry sheet? How does the the person who is performing the MIRO transaction knows the service entry sheet number?
    Thanks.
    Zhulk

    HI,
Following are answers to some of your questions -
    1) What do you mean by default unit measure? If this is the unit of Service, then you may change this in Service Master (T Code AC03). If the unit is at line item, then it should be AU, because you may order multiple services under one line each having different units of measure.
    2) The message "No message record could be found for output of message. Save anyway?" is displayed because, you have not maintained output message for service entry sheet. Either define the output or remove the warning message at Attributes of system messages.
    3) The process of service PO is same as material PO. The difference is that the item category for service PO is 'D' & then you maitain services for the line item either with or without service master. After completion of service, you create service entry sheet at transaction code ML81N & after accepting the service entry sheet, service entry sheet based GRN is prepared. The person who is posting MIRO is not required to know Service Entry Sheet number to post MIRO. The system automatically checks the service entry sheets accepted. Anyway, the service entry sheet number can be displayed at Purchase Order History tab of the conccerned PO at PO display option (T Code ME23N).
    Hope your query is fulfilled.

  • ECS scenario - Service PO and Service Entry sheets in backend

    Hello,
We are on SRM_SERVER 550, SP07 and  in the process of moving to ECS scenario.
There are some questions from me on the Service procurement in ECS.
    1. When we create a PO with service item in SRM, will it get copied to backend as a Po with item category 'D'? This is how it happens in classic scenario, but does the same hold good in ECS?
    2. When creating the confirmation for the service PO in SRM for ECS scenario, this would be a time entry/service entry sheet.
Would this be replicated to R/3 as a time entry sheet using RFC call?
Standard SRM210 guide mentions that goods confirmation will flow to backend as GR thro ALE/IDOCs and service confirmation will flow to backend as service entry sheets using RFC calls.
But I wanted a confirmation if this is entirely a standard SAP scenario or are there any restrictions on this?

  • How to find Goods Receipt Number particular to Service Entry Sheet Number.

    Hi Experts,
In one of my reports  i need to bring purchase order ,service entry sheet, goods receipt number .
In ekbe i am getting the purchase order and its service entry sheet while keeping BEWTP = 'D'.
so i am getting purchase orders and their service entry sheet numbers in belnr.
Now i want to get the corresponding goods receipt number .
But i am getting goods receipt number against the purchase order but not against service entry sheet , in same EKBE
    while keeping BEWTP = 'E' movement type = '101'.
My doubt here is how to get the corresponding goods reciept number for a service entry sheet.
if i have three service entry sheet numbers for a purchse order i have three goods receipt numbers
but how to get the relation between them  which GRN to which service entry sheet
. is there any table which stores the service entry and its grn.
If i am any thing functionally wrong  which i wrote above please correct me and give ur inputs.
    Thanks
    vamsi

    Hi Sarath,
If the Purchase order Item category is 'D' then it is a service order then it can have N service entry sheet numbers and once each service entry sheet is accepted it will be available for Goods reciept .. so that information will be avaiable..
U can obtain the GRN against the Service entry sheet in EKBE itself.
    BELNR refers to GRN
LFBNR refers to Service entry sheet number.
And hence i am closing the thread.
    Thanks

  • WBS Commitment during service entry sheet

    Dear SAP Guru,
I have one query related with punching of service entry sheet with reference to PO of proejct WBS.
I have made one service PO with accnt.assignment category P and item category D, i have assigned one WBS element in account assignment tab.
Now I am entering service entry sheet w.r.t. this service PO, the service entry is posted.Acceptance is still pending.
    so no accountng docs.is generated.
Now I have made again One similar PO by taking the same WBS as taken is previous PO.
While entering SES, System is allowing to punch the service entry sheet. Is this possible?
Are there any committment created by SAP w.r.t WBS if we are entering SES with same WBS again and again?
Is there any logic, report or transaction available in SAP?

  • Link between Service Entry Sheet and Material Document

    Hi
I am busy with developing a report where i am required to find the link between the Material Document and Service Entry Sheet.
I am aware that on the Purchase Order Data tab of the Material Document has the service entry sheet number and line item.  However the problem I have picked up here is in the event I create a Service Entry Sheet  with a service in line 1 and for some reason Delete that Line and then capture the service again, it is saved in table ESLL as line 2.  This is correct.  However when I have a look at the material document, it references it as line 1 of the service entry.  Is there any way to get this in sync?
    Thanks
    Vinesh

    Thanks
This table does show the service entry sheet number and line item however the line item does not correspond with the line item on the service entry sheet.
    Eg.
I create a service entry sheet where I capture a service in line 1.
    I delete Line 1
    I recapture on line 2.
    Post Service Entry
The Material Doc reference document is the service entry however the line item for the reference is 1.
I need to try and link the line items
    Thanks
    Vinesh

  • How the freight cost are transferred from condition type of shipment cost document to service entry sheet and collected in service PO item

    Dear Experts:
could you please share with me the knowledge for below topic:
How the freight cost are transferred from condition type of shipment cost document to service entry sheet and collected in service PO item, because these three objects use three different pricing procedures, and different condition type.
how did the condition type of service entry sheet know to copy the value of whcih condition type in the pricing procedure of shipment cost document?
Is this SAP standard function OR there need an enhancement to do that?
I didn’t find related condition value copy setting in background, could you please share related setting with me? Thank you very much for your kind help!
    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi, Gopi,
Glad to see your feedback, but i still have question on your feedback:
which condition type in the pricing procedure of service entry sheet should know to capture the net value of shipment cost doc? becasue there are so many condition types,
And i have checked the corresponding condition type (PRSX) of service entry sheet pricing procedure in my SAP system, this is a self-defined condition type, but NO any calculation routine maintained for the condition type (PRSX), how did the condition type (PRSX) know to copy the total cost of shipment cost document?
Below is the example and another question:
what the relationship between the pricing procedures at service PO item level and service line item level?
    1. The freight cost in shipment cost document—including used condition type and pricing procedure
The pricing procedure of shipment cost document
    2. The freight cost in service entry sheet—including used condition type and pricing procedure
The pricing procedure of service entry sheet--the pricing procedure at service line item level
    3. The freight cost in service PO item—including used condition type and pricing procedure:
