Change of colors during insert &query

Question

hi,
i need to have different color for the text field when i query and another color during insert. i know i do have to
make changes in visual attributes, but iam not exactly aware of it,so could any one kindly give me the details
so that i could get what i needed or documents where i
could find this details.

Otherwise, instead of writing 10 times the SET_ITEM_... code, you can use a loop :
