Change request parameters

Hi,
I have a servlet and would like to change the request parameters before forwarding that request to another servlet.
But how can I change the parameters? I thought it would work with request.setAttributes, but the parameters are not being changed. How can I change the parameters then???

Hi Joberc
1. Did you read javax.servlet.Filter API of Servlet 2.3.
It allows us to do some filtering in between and forward to another servlet
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/sdk_1.3/techdocs/api/javax/servlet/Filter.html
You can also search for code sample and see how it works.
2. As for your specific question and if possible, can we view your code to see

  • Change request parameters in a ServletFilter

    Hi all,
    I want to do the following: Create a ServletFilter that reads two parameters from the HttpRequest (let's say parameter a and b). If they have a special value, I would like to change them before the request is passed to the Servlet.
    As the request has no setParameter() method, I created a HttpServletRequestWrapper where I can set parameters. Here are two code snippets:
    SyncServletFilter
      public void doFilter(ServletRequest request, ServletResponse response,
          FilterChain chain) throws IOException, ServletException {
           HttpServletRequest httpRequest = (HttpServletRequest)request;
           System.out.println("a = " + httpRequest.getParameter("a") + " " + httpRequest.getParameterMap().size());
           ChangeableHttpServletRequest changeableRequest = new ChangeableHttpServletRequest(httpRequest);
           changeableRequest.setParameter("a", "new value");
           System.out.println("a = " + changeableRequest.getParameter("a") + " " + changeableRequest.getParameterMap().size());
           chain.doFilter(changeableRequest, response);
    HttpServletRequestWrapper
    public class ChangeableHttpServletRequest extends HttpServletRequestWrapper {
          private HashMap fakedParameters;
        public ChangeableHttpServletRequest(HttpServletRequest nested) {
          super(nested);
          fakedParameters=new HashMap();
        public void setParameter(String key,String value) {
          fakedParameters.put(key,value);
      public String getParameter(String name) {
         String res = (String)fakedParameters.get(name);
         if (res == null) {
             res = super.getParameter(name);
         return res;
        public Map getParameterMap() {
              fakedParameters.putAll(super.getParameterMap());
              return fakedParameters;
    }The second System.out.println shows the new value of the parameter, however, in my Servlet, I still get the old one. Has anyone of you an explaination for this or can you see an error in my code?
    Thanks for your help and best Regards,
    alex

    This is a guess, I haven't really tried your code. But I think the fakedParameters.putAll(super.getParameterMap()) line overwrites the new value for your paramter. I would suggest that you move that line to the constructor and try it again.

  • Accessing Request Parameters from ActionRequest with form/multipart

    Hi,
    I have a weblogic producer portlet which has form enctype="multipart/form-data". Now although I have correctly set the action according to JSR 168 standards like:
    <form name="Checkin" method="POST" enctype="multipart/form-data"
    action='<abcportlet:createURI><abcportlet:URIAction value="active.document.doUpdate"/></abcportlet:createURI>'>
    but in my processAction method, I am not able to retrive the action parameter. Infact actionRequest's getParameter returned null.
    On further investigation, I found that this is occurring due to enctype and some solutions suggested to use commons file upload. I have used the commons upload and retrieve the parameters but am not able to retrieve the action parameters that is embedded in wsrp-interactionState.
    Is there any way of how I can get hold of the portlet action parameter?
    Thanks,
    Ansuman

    Hello Ansuman,
    Unfortunately, you have found a bug in WLP's implementation of the JSR168 form decoding- there is no way for you to get the form parameters and the action parameters at the same time. We already have a fix for the next version of WLP- if you open a support case to get a patch issued, please refer to CL (not CR) 1169718. If you would like for me to open a change request for you, which might speed up the support process, please let me know what version of WLP you are using.

  • How to set a default target system in  a change request

    Hello,
    I would like to set up a default value for the target system when I create a change request,
    for example, if I create a CHR in "DEV" system, it would auto fill the "Target" field with "TST"
    I tried to look for TPPARAM parameters or some Global ones,
    but with no luck
    Anyone got a clue how to do it?
    Thanks.

    Hi Elhanan,
    The next system depends on the transport route.
    and the transport will follow the route assigned. this again depends on the transport layer assinged to the development package of the object.
    so the assignment is like this.
    Dev object > Development package (previously called dev class) > Transport layer > Transport Route

  • Best Practice to process change request

    Hi All,
    There's a confusion of provided functionality by SAP for Change Request Management. Though, through different blogs/articles/book, we have implemented change request management, but initiation process of change request seems missing.
    What I know is project can be tracked through maintenance cycle, if support message is posted through SAP production server through SAP->Help->Create Support Message. What I'm looking for is user should be able to select few parameters of particular forms from forms' repository, available online. Once its filled, it goes to his manager according to Organogram, then a support message gets created automatically, and rest of the process remains same as provided at current by SAP.
    What you guys know of it?
    Thanks
    Nayab

    Thanks Sammi for your confirmatory post.
    So if we need to use required fields for particular configuration from user, say the requirement to develop new company code, of which all required information is maintained in form, the user should submit the filled form, authorized by his manager, to IT department, we then ask the particular user to raise support message and keep a track of such maintenance activity.
    Is it possible to modify Create Support Message screen, that is, another parameter to upload file, as we can do in solution manager service desk mesage -> documents. This might help as well, but I guess SAP must be providing a tool, may be some different product for aforementioned requirement.

  • What is meant by change pointer and change request

    hi,
    what is meant by change pointer and change request in sap r3
    plz can u any one notes or link on this , or if possible briefly tell about this..
    i am looking for clear idea on this..
    thanks
    Ruban

    With respect to Dictionary Change pointers means all the changes done to dictionary objects.
    All the change logs with respect to tables are stored in CDHDR and CDPOS table
    Change Pointers in broad sense are used with respect to IDOC
    Change Pointers & Reduction of IDOCs.
    Applications, which write change documents, will also try to write change
    pointers for ALE operations. These are log entries to remember all modified
    data records relevant for ALE.
    Following Steps must be followed in case of Change Pointer.
    1) Goto Transaction BD60.
    Note down the Details of the Message Type for which change pointer has to activate. Details like Function Module, Classification Object, ALE object Type etc.
    E.g. ZDEBP3
    2) Next step is goto transaction BD53
    Click on change button.
    First select the segment for which the fields has to modified (either remove or
    add ).
    It will show the fields in a pop-up window where the user can select, deselect the respective fields.
    Save the settings for the Message type. Don’t forget to activate the change pointers by clicking Activate Change pointers button on the main screen.
    3) Once the activation is done system will reset the settings for the Message type in Change pointers (BD60). Maintained the old settings for the Message type.
    Check this FAQ
    . Do you really need change pointers?
    You need change pointers to distribute changes with the ALE SMD tool. If you do not use this tool, you do not need to write change pointers.
    You can deactivate change pointers and activate them again with the transaction BD61.
    2. Do you really need to activate change pointers for this messages type?
    If some messages types are no longer to be distributed by change pointers, you can deactivate change pointers for this messages type.
    You can deactivate change pointers for the message type
    and reactivate them again.
    For reduced message types, deactivate the change pointer with the
    Reduction tool (transaction BD53).
    3. Are there still too many change pointers to be processed?
    The change pointers are analyzed with the transaction BD21 or the report RBDMIDOC in ALE and flagged as processed. If the change pointers are created periodically, this report should also run periodically.
    4. Are no longer required change pointers reorganized in time?
    The report RBDCPCLR (transaction BD22) to reorganize the change pointer should run periodically. Depending on how many change pointers are created or processed, you can schedule the background job hourly, daily or weekly. You should delete all obsolete and processed change pointers. You can also use this report for specified message types.
    We come across change pointer technique while dealing with master data distribution thru ALE/IDOCs
    When we want to reflect changes made to master data(i.e customer master, vendor master, material master ...) visible to other clients listed in customer distribution model, we follow change pointer technique.
    What is customer distribution model?
    A customer model depicts various messages (master data, transactional data) exchanged between the systems and establishes a sender and receiver of data
    A customer model is always maintained on any system for the entire distributed network of SAP systems, so it must be distributed to various systems in the distributed network.
    These r some details regarding change pointer technique which u may find it usefull.............
    The change pointers technique is based on the change document technique, which tracks changes made to key documents in SAP, such as the material master, customer master, vendor master & sales orders. changes made to a document are recorded in the change document header table CHDHR, and additional change pointers are written in the BDCP table for changes relevant to ALE. BDCPS table stores the status of changed documents processed or not.
    The process for distributing master data using change pointers involves the following steps.
    The application writes change documents. SAP maintains change documents for
    several objects in the system, such as materials, customers, invoices, and bank data, to provide an audit trail for changes made to an object. A change document object represents a set of tables for which changes are recorded. For example, the change document for the material master is named MATERIAL and it contains the various tables of the material master object, such as MARA and MARC.
    When an application transaction makes changes to an object, the application writes change documents, which are stored in the CDHDR and CDPOS tables for each change made to an object.
    Tip
    Execute transaction SCDO to see a list of change document objects and
    their tables.
    The SMD (Shared Master Data) tool writes change pointers. When changes are made to an object, the SMD tool checks the ALE settings and consults the ALE distribution model to determine whether a receiver is interested in the object that was changed. If the system finds an appropriate receiver, the system creates change pointers in the BDCP table that point to change documents in the CDHDR table.
    The ALE programs analyze change pointers and generate IDocs. SAP provides
    standard function modules that read the change pointer table and generate IDocs for the objects that were changed. These programs are designed to ignore multiple changes and create only one IDoc. For example, if a material is changed four times before the function module is invoked, only one IDoc with the latest data from the material master data is created. The function modules are invoked by a standard report, RBDMIDOC. The selection parameters of this report allow you to specify the message type for which change pointers are to be analyzed. Configuration
    you must carry out the following configuration steps to enable master data
    distribution based on changes to the object.
    Step 1: Enable Change Pointers Globally
    Transaction: BD61
    This option enables the change pointer process globally. Make sure that the flag is checked.
    Step 2 :Enable Change Pointers for a Message Type
    Transaction: BD50
    This setting is required for activating change pointers for a specific message type.
    make sure that the Active flag is checked for your message type.
    Step 3 :Specify the Fields for Which Change Pointers Are to Be Written
    Transaction: BD52
    For standard master data objects such as the material, customer, and vendor objects, SAP already provides a list of fields for which change pointers are written. If you are satisfied with the standard set of fields, you can skip this step. If you want to add new fields, you must add entries for the required fields. If you are not interested in IDocs being generated for changes to a particular field, you can remove it from the list. For example, if you do not want to distribute the
    material master for changes made to the Catalog Profile (RBNRM) field, you can delete this entry from the table.
    Step 4: Changing a Field in the Master Data
    Change a field in the master data object for which the change pointer is enabled. For example, if you change the net weight of a material in the material master data, a change pointer is written.
    Tip : You can verify a change document and change pointer by viewing entries in
    tables CDHDR and BDCP, respectively.
    Step 5 :Executing Program RBDMIDOC to Process Change Pointers
    Execute program RBDMIDOC to initiate the process of generating an IDoc. On the selection screen, specify the message type. For example, you can specify MATMAS. After you execute the process, it displays the number of entries processed.
    Note :
    Normally, you schedule this program to run frequently and start IDoc
    generation for different message types.
    Step 6 : View the idocs in WE02/05

  • Changing ServletRequest parameters

    Is it possible to change the value of a ServletRequest parameter before
              forwarding it to another servlet?

    So apparently the answer is "no" for this release then. Still, I looked
              through the Servlet 2.3 spec and I still don't see anything that would give
              the ability to change a parameter. It does now have getParameterMap, but
              the returned Map is immutable.
              It does state (as I believe previous spec did also) that any new parameters
              added to the url take precedence over the forwarded request parameters. So
              the added parameter is going to be the one returned when calling
              getParameter

  • Request parameters not decoded in UTF-8 format

    Hi All,
    I've a spring mvc application hosted in tomcat.But when I make a get request to this application giving japanese characters as parameters , the servlet decodes it in ISO-8859-1 fomat, due to which a search functionality is failing.
    Is there any way to specify the servlet for decoding the request parameters in UTF-8 format?
    I Tried adding the URIEncoding="UTF-8" attribute in Connector tag in server.xml of the tomcat server where my application is hosted, but still -ve results.
    Any help?

    This link may help you:
    http://wiki.apache.org/tomcat/FAQ/CharacterEncoding
    The change you made is indeed documented:
    http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/config/http.html
    so if that doesn't work, you'll have to direct your question to a Tomcat forum.

    Ouch :(
    Ok, let me explain what is going on here: The Business Owner field must be a customization MS did to your Change Request form. Depending on which classes and relationships they used, you will have to grant permissions to the Change Manager profile to write
    instances of these relationship classes.
    There is two solutions two this:
    1. Instead of creating a custom user role of type Change Manager, you create a custom user role of type Advanced Operator. Just be aware that Advanced Operators have permissions to create and modify all work item types and config items.
    2. If this is not an option, we have to figure out how MS did the Business Owner customization. The first step would be to find the management pack which stores the Business Owner class and form extension. If you are lucky, you might be able to find a management
    pack with a meaningful name sounding like Business Owner. If you find it, export it, and paste the XML code of the management pack. If you cannot find it, we have to start unpacking your environment with PowerShell or looking into the database :(

  • Newbie: what is the equivalent of passing request parameters?

    Hi-
    I am new to JSF. I have read many tutorials and articles. I still don't get one concept about passing parameters. Note: I don't want to store stuff in the session unless I have to.
    Let's say I have a page with a list of users. I layout the page with a panelGrid. Each row of the table has the first and last name of the user. If a user clicks on the name of a user on the user list, it should go to the user profile page. The backing bean for the user list page will be the UserListBean. It has a method called getUsers() that returns a List of User objects.
    For the View User page, I have a ViewUserBean. The ViewUserBean retrieve the entire profile for that user.
    How do I pass the user ID to the ViewUserBean? In struts, I would pass it as a request parameter (I would manually write the link URL with the userID). I know I can use the request like that in JSF, but that seems ugly. I looked at the code of the J2EE bookstore tutorial and it does a funky thing with all sorts of data stored in the session.
    What is the best way to request a page and "pass in" a userID?
    Thanks for your help.
    Adam

    I have a case on my current project very similar to your case. What you want, very simply, is an easy way to allow faces to handle URLs like http://www.domain.com/showUserDetails?userId=50
    The natural trouble is that when loading the page, there is no action to use to prefetch the User object based on the Request Parameters in JSF.
    All the solutions above either rely on the session or they are exceedingly complex. This case is actually very easy to do and is very straight forward using Managed Properties and a Request Scope bean...
    Here is the rather straight forward solution I used...
    First, make a "ShowUserDetailsBean" which represents the "logic" for this page.
    public class ShowUserDetailsBean
        /** Will point to the actual user service after dependency injection*/
        private UserService userService;
        /** Will hold the userId from the HTTP Request Parameters*/
        private String userId;
        /** Will hold a lazy loaded copy of the User object matching userId*/
        private User user;
        public void setUserService(UserService userService) {
            this.userService = userService;  //dependecy injection
        public void setUserId(String userId) {
           this.userId = userId;  //dependency injection
        /** Lazy loads the User object matching the UserId */
        public User getUser() {
            //Trap the case where the URL has no userId
            if (userId == null) return null;
            if (user == null) {
                user = userService.getUser(userId);  //Lazy Load
            return user;
    }Next, configure the managed properties in faces-config.xml
    <faces-config xmlns="http://java.sun.com/JSF/Configuration">
      <managed-bean>
        <managed-bean-name>userService</managed-bean-name>
        <managed-bean-class>foo.UserServiceImpl</managed-bean-class>
        <managed-bean-scope>application</managed-bean-scope>
      </managed-bean>
      <managed-bean>
        <managed-bean-name>showUserDetails</managed-bean-name>
        <managed-bean-class>foo.ShowUserDetailsBean</managed-bean-class>
        <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope>
        <managed-property>
          <property-name>userService</property-name>
          <property-class>foo.UserService</property-class>
          <value>#{userService}</value>
        </managed-property>
        <managed-property>
          <property-name>userId</property-name>
          <property-class>java.lang.String</property-class>
          <value>#{param.userId}</value>
        </managed-property>
      </managed-bean>Finally, you just make your webpage as you normally would...
    <h:outputText value="#{showUserDetails.user.userId}"/>
    <h:outputText value="#{showUserDetails.user.firstName}"/>
    <h:outputText value="#{showUserDetails.user.lastName}"/>
    Now you're ready to test, so you visit the page
    http://www.domain.com/showUserDetails?userId=50
    And your user details with userId=50 appears!
    It's just that simple!
    Regards,
    Doug
    Caveat: I haven't added any sample logic to handle cases where you visit:
    http://www.domain.com/showUserDetails
    without specifying a userId. I suggest you add some basic logic to your page to handle this case more gracefully.

  • Help me configure Change request management !!!

    Dear friends,
    I am Going to Configure Change request Management, so just to ensure that the configuration is not erronous, i would need Expert advise..
    Just want to know Clear few things before i proceed..
    I am also refering SPRO and related notes
    Scenario :
    I have two SYSTEMS SAP ECC 6.0 with System id R03 and Soluiton manager with SYSTEM id SOL,
    R03 has 3 clients, 300 600 700..
    In R03 300 is the development client, 600 is quality client, 700 is the production client.
    SOL has 2 clients, 100, 200
    With 200 as the production client.
    Q.1) <b>Do i have to configure CHARM in both the client (100 and 200 of SOLMAN).</b>
    Q.2) Initially I had tried to set CHARM in client 100 of solman, but later on realized that it has to be set up in client 200.
    When i logon to client 200 and  Execute IMG activity Spro-> sap soltion manger->basic settings-> sap solution manager system->activate integration with change request management.
    Then by default it take the previous client ( client 100) as the change request management client.
    ( as we know there are three steps in the above activity ), the other activity are executed properly, only prblem being that the default client is always set to 100, which should not be the case).
    I do get the prompt saying ( "The change request clent is set to clent 100, do u want to change to client 200, on clicking yes, still it is always set the same client 100 as charm client ")
    <b>Plz let me know what do i do to set the change request client to 200??</b>
    Q.3) Regarding TMS, we have local domain controller in solman and local domain in R3.
    We are planing to establish domain links between the two systems( ie both the domain controllers) ??
    Is this the right strategy ??
    <b>Any other method that u can recommend  ??</b>
    Q.4)One of the IMG activity says, Generate Destinations to client 000 of all the domain controllers..
    Whenever i do this these, destinations are created with errors, i am not able to create trusted RFC destinations without errors.
    When i logon to satellite domain controler and excecute sm59 there are 2 destinations created Trusted and BACK.
    These destinations works well,
    but when i logon to Solman, got to sm59 , when i test the TMW and TRUSTED rfc destinations  i test these destinations using Remote Logon i get error,
    " no authorization to logon as trusted system"
    I went thru one note which recomended Kernel upgrades to solve the problem,
    I r3 my kernel relaese is 700 with patch level 56, the note recomends to apply patch 80, did u have these problems??
    <b>what is your kernel patch levels in sateliite and solman systems.</b>
    Q.5) TO be able to raise tickets from R3 to solman we create RFC destinations.
    We also create RFC destinations to client 000 of all the sateliite system,
    <b>dont u think these RFC destinations might interfere with each other??</b>
    Q.6) Is there anyone who has successfully configured CHARM. Can you plz share the  configuration documents with me..
    Please note :
    <b>All the contributors would be handesomely rewarded with points .</b>

    Hi,
    Check this
    Note 128447 - Trusted/Trusting Systems
    For your Q4.
    Q3.)
    Establishing Domain link - That's the right way. Go ahead.
    These are the steps.
    <b>1.Define Transport Routes for System Landscape</b>
    assign exactly one development system to a production system, and that these two systems are connected by exactly one unique transport track. If a development system and a production system are connected by more than one transport track, this may lead to inconsistencies within the transport distribution. This type of transport configuration cannot be supported by Change Request Management, and may cause inconsistencies within the tools involved.
    <b>2. Activate Extended Transport Control</b>
    The CTC parameter should be '1'
    <b>3.Configure Transport Strategy</b>
    Deactivate the QA Approval.
    <b>4. Activate Trusted Services.</b>
    5.Activate Domain Links.
    You have to activate domain link between systems.
    6. Generate RFC Destinations to Client 000
    Hope this helps.
    feel free to revert back.

  • WHY? Request Parameters From Form are NULL

    I have the following process, which by the way has been working successfully for months, until just recently.
    1) User comes to JSP page to upload images through a form that has the <input type="file"> fields as well as <input type="hidden"> to hold a few essential values.
    2) User submits form, form action attribute set to go to a Servlet
    3) Servlet reads all request params and inserts the images into a database.
    I have code to read in the images...I use classes from the org.apache.commons package.
    I could only assume it was the servlet that was the problem, but doubted that because why would it work all these months than suddenly stop.
    I set up a test html page with a form and had it go to a jsp page to read the request params and print them out. To my suprise they all had NULL values.
    Which tells me that the params aren't being read from the form.
    How could this be??
    Here is some example code snippets from my test pages:
    HTML PAGE
    <html><body>
    <form name="images" action="testing_operations.jsp" enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="Customer_Number" value="4750">
    <table>
    <tr><td>
    <input type="file" name="image1" />
    </td></tr>
    <tr><td>
    <input type="file" name="image2" />
    </td></tr>
    <tr><td>
    <input type="submit" value="submit">
    </td></tr>
    </table>
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>JSP PAGE
    String cus = request.getParameter("Customer_Number");
    out.println("cus : " + cus +"<br>");
    String image = request.getParameter("image1");
    out.println("image: " + image);
    I'm stumped...what am I doing wrong?
    I can't continue until I get this figured out, can anybody help me with this?

    I ran my original app with the enctype and without it:
    the tomcat dos-prompt that shows exceptions lists out this below...
    org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadException: Processing of multipart/form-data request failed.
    C:\jakarta-tomcat\temp\upload_00000009.tmp (The system cannot find the path specified)
    at org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadBase.parseRequest(FileUploadBase.java:429)
    at org.apache.jsp.testing_operations_jsp._jspService(testing_operations_jsp.java:113)The code on line 113 in testing_operations.jsp is:
    List items = upload.parseRequest(request);
    and what is this .tmp file its trying to find?? I'm passing it an image off my local disk, not a .tmp file, there isn't even a temp folder in my jakarta-tomcat main folder....
    It is failing on this line because it isn't reading the request parameters sent in, thus why too when I test for the values of the params they return null.
    True, when I take out the enctype my test page will show the values, but this doesn't help me. I need that enctype attribute in there to process the images sent in through the fields.
    So where does this leave me??
    I went to the apache site for the commons upload and they have a more current version than what I'm using which is version 1.0, they have 1.1.1
    I downloaded the new version but had no success in using it, the compiler couldn't find a class I attempted to use.
    I still don't understand how this could be working and then suddenly stop.

  • Initialize managed bean from request parameters

    Hi:
    I thought this topic would be on the FAQ, but I couldn't find it. I am looking for a mean to initialize my managed bean from the query string. There must be something like:
    <h:form initializeBean=""true"" requestParameter=""id_author"" beanProperty=""#{author.id_author}"" action=""#{author.getFromDB}"" >
    </form>
    The url would be something like http://localhost:8080/protoJSF/showAuthor.jsf?id_author=5334
    And the getFromDB method would be something like
      Public void getFromDB()
         Statement stmt = cn.createStatement( ?SELECT * from author where id_author=? + getId_author() );
         ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery();
      }The only way I've found to perform something like this is to present a blank author form with a ''load data'' button: after pressing the button the user can see author's data and edit the data if she wants to. This two-step data screening is annoying, to say the least.
    There must be a better way.
    I beg for a pointer on how can I achieve the initializing of a managed bean with dynamic data.

    You just have to read carefully the very fun 289 pages
    specification :-)Or, if 289 pages of JavaServer Faces is too much, you can get almost all of the same information from the JavaServer Pages 2.0 specification, or even the JSP Standard Tag Libraries specification :-).
    More seriously, the standard set of "magic" variable names that JavaServer Faces recognizes is the same as that reognized by the EL implementations in JSP and JSTL. Specifically:
    * applicationScope - Map of servlet context attributes
    * cooke - Map of cookies in this request
    * facesContext - The FacesContext instance for this request
    * header - Map of HTTP headers (max one value per header name)
    * headerValues - Map of HTTP headers (String array of values per header name)
    * initParam - Map of context initialization parameters for this webapp
    * param - Map of request parameters (max one value per parameter name)
    * paramMap - Map of request parameters (String array of values per parameter name)
    * requestScope - Map of request attributes for this request
    * sessionScope - Map of session attributes for this request
    * view - The UIViewRoot component at the base of the component tree for this view
    If you use a simple name other than the ones on this list, JavaServer Faces will search through request attributes, session attributes, and servlet context (application) attributes. If not found, it will then try to use the managed bean facility to create and configure an appropriate bean, and give it back to you.
    For extra fun, you can even create your own VariableResolver that can define additional "magic" variable names known to your application, and delegate to the standard VariableResolver for anything else.
