Change Style for text (PE12)

When I insert a text, i can change style just one time. It is not possible to change style for other text. I must stop the program and start up for changing style at each time I request to change style.
Solution?

Thank you for linking to the Muvipix thread. Not sure what happened in PrE 12, but this Styles Bug looks pretty serious, as Styles allow a user to do so much, regarding attributes for Shapes and Text.

I success send the text report to email. But how can I change layout for my text email to landscape instead of potrait. I am using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send an emails.

I believe it is restricted by the length of the line which is about 70 characters or something like that. so there is no portrait or landscape option.
I put my form instead of text in the printspool convert that to a pdf file and send that as an attachment automaticaly to the recipient.

ADF Faces - Change style for menuTab component

How to change color for menuTab components (selected and enabled)?
I do not want to create new style, all I need is just change some colors and fonts for default oracle style.
I was able to change color for table, overridinf some styles in my css-file, but overriding
<af_menuTabs_selected> and <af_menuTabs_enabled> did not work, because on generated html-page menuTab components do not use any styles. Is there any workaround to change color of that component?

The code above works fine but I nead also, in the method, to generate a excel file with JXLS librairie.
The file can takes a long time to download and thus I want to change the value of outputText while the file is generating and not after.

How do I create more than one CSS style for text links?

Just like the title says, I need help with creating more than one CSS text link style in Dreamweaver CS4. For instance, I want the navigation on the website I'm building to have a different text link style than a link in some part of the body copy. I've been playing with Dreamweaver for a while and can't find any way to do this. If it's even possible to do this, I would really appreciate any help.

Yes it is possible but as you have failed to provide a valid link to your site, I will tell you in general Terms:
1) First create a class or an ID to to your Nav bar;
2) Now style your navbar in such a way that these styles will only apply to your nav bar. To do this, you start your style by doing something like this:
ul#vavigation {.........}
ul#navigation a {.........}
ul#navigation a:hover {.........}
ul#navigation li {.........}
your html code might look like this:
<ul id="navigation">
<li><a href="#">Home</a></li>
etc etc .........................
</ul>

Changing Styles for Numbering

I am using RoboHelp HTML Version 8
When I select the "create a numbered list" button. The number appears in a different font from the text. I selected Format/Styles/Normal, but I don't see how to change it.

Hi,
With the Normal style, you set the font of the paragraph and not of the list. If you do not style the list, the browser will return to the default. The easiest things to do (in my opinion ) are:
- Create a list style and apply it to eacht list: Right click | Bullets and Numbering | Custom | Pick your custom style.
- If you always want a list to use a standard font, open your style sheet in an external editor and add the following code:
OL, UL { font-family: Arial; }
Change Arial to the name of the font you want to use.
Note: If you use a font with spaces in the name, such as Courier New, place the name between quotes: font-family: "Courier New";
Note: As an 'extra' you can add any other standard styling to all your lists by adding more styling between the brackets.

CSS - how do I remove/change styles for one image?

In my CSS I have the following rule which styles all the images within the 'main_text' div with a border, background colour and padding:
#main_text img{
    border: 1px solid #666;
    padding: 5px;
    background-color: #C0BEB6;
However I have one image on one page where I want to remove this styling and I can't find a way of doing it.
I've tried applying a class to the image I want to change:
.exclaim {
    border-style: none;
    float: left;
    margin-right: 10px;
    padding: 0px;
The .exclaim rule appears after '#main_text img' in the stylesheet.
The float and margin both work but the border and padding are retained from the other selector.
I know I could just have 2 classes and apply them as necessary but eventually I am likely to have quite a few images throughout the site that need the border and padding and just the one that doesn't.

Will .exclaim always be inside #main_text?
If so, increase the CSS "weight" of .exclaim by targetting it more specifically so that it trumps #main_text img:

Change styles for ebook/print

I have my book pasted up in InDesign, and I can easily output to PDF or EPUB from the book window. Great. However, I'd like different styles to apply to each format. For example, I want a different first-line paragraph indent level for PDF than for EPUB, different fonts, etc.
I can think of several ways to address this problem, but none of them seems quite right:
1. Maintain two copies of the style source, with different styles defined in each. Swap it into the Book and out and synchronize as necessary.
2. Maintain two separate documents only for their styles, and use the Load Styles command to load styles into the style source when I want to switch formats.
3. Maintain a separate stylesheet for the EPUB that I apply after export. I'm afraid it might get out of sync with the book, though (if I define a new style in the book, I'll have to make sure that style appears in the CSS).
4. Scripting: Write a script to go through and modify the styles, either of the Book's style source or the EPUB's CSS.
How would you handle this? Is there a built-in feature to address what I'm trying to do, and I just don't know about it?

That makes sense. Would you specify an additional CSS file on EPUB export that overrides some of the directives in the InDesign-generated CSS, or write a new file to completely replace ID's in the EPUB?

Problem changing language for texting on BB Curve 9300 3G

Does anyone know if there is a quick way of switching keyboard language? My mobile has English and Arabic keys on the keyboard, but no Arabic option on the phone under the language settings.
When I attempt to update input languages to include Arabic through the desktop software I get the following message:
"BlackBerry® Desktop Software failed to validate your BlackBerry® device update.
Aborting install due to validation failure. Some packages contained unsatisfied dependencies."
The only advice I've found is to go to logs under ~Library on my Mac with OS X 10.6.8 which will show messages of apps that need to be uninstalled as they're third party and can't be validated. This seemed to indicate Blackberry Appworld needed to be uninstalled which I did, but still have the problem.
If anyone can help that would be great.
Also I'd be grateful if anyone can confirm if Blackberry phones are supposed to be this inconvenient? I've just spent my eigth hour on this, and I'm regretting ever having bought the phone. I've made phone calls with it, and sent texts in English, but apart from that nothing. I've already got a phone that's a tenth of the cost that also types in Arabic, which I think makes Blackberry pretty useless by comparison.

I have finally found a work around for this problem. I adapted the advice from the link here:

To clarify I was using a BB9300 3G Curve, with BB OS 6, with the latest BB Desktop version, running on a Mac Book Pro.
You need to wipe the phone and reinstall the operating system for the handset in a way that possibly flashes the RAM on the phone, as it appears a large batch of phones were shipped with this bug.
Once prompted to repair the phone you need to choose the earliest version of OS offered by the repair wizard. It will remove your personal files and settings which will need to be reinstalled manually.
My steps were as follows:
FIRST OF ALL ENSURE YOUR PHONE IS NOT CONNECTED TO YOUR MACHINE AND THAT BLACKBERRY DESKTOP IS NOT RUNNING.
1. Delete operating system versions stored on your Mac by navigating to ~Library/ApplicationSupport/BlackberryDesktop/DeviceApplications
2. Empty the Recycling/'Trash' Bin
3. Remove the battery from your Blackberry and then connect to your machine via USB cable. The phone will display a battery with a red cross. The Desktop software should launch after the phone is connected.
4. You will be prompted to repair or restart the phone. Opt to repair and you should be presented with various versions of previous operating systems. It recommended the latest version for me, but in fact I found I had to go right back to the earliest version of operating system available which was OS5. Select this and then start the download.
5. I found the phone downloaded the entire software in one go but in the original advice it says the phone may need to be reconnected several times as it drops off, closing and restarting BB Desktop software each time. I found this only happened to me when trying to install the later versions of the operating system.
6. At the halfway point of the installation the progress bar stated it was 'Waiting for device to initialise'. At this point reinsert the battery.
7. Then wait for the phone to restart which took over 20 minutes for myself.
8. This should have completed the installation. Most importantly when the phone set itself up with OS5 it gave me an option to choose the input languages available on the phone and delete unwanted ones. I got a message on BB Desktop recommending I upgrade the OS to 6, which I did, and which now functions with input languages.

Don't see email accounts to change notifications and no notifications for TEXTS.

I have had carrier issued software release 10.2.1.2977 for awhile.
I noticed now that under Notifications --> Core Applications there is no mention of any of my email accounts.
(But I have no issue receiving or sending email via this Q10).
And although it seems that I can change notification for Text Messages, in practice there is no LED or Vibrate or Sound that happens when a text does arrive. (And again there is no issue receiving or sending texts via this Q10 BUT no notification of any type)
Any ideas to resolve these notification problems?
If not, I will be forced, albeit reluctantly to "starting fresh".
Having said that I am not sure the best and safest way to do this ie reinstall carrier OS and then restore what I have backed up using BB Link.
I would love to know of the easiest, safest way to do as I have described.

And yet as you can see I am able to make changes of NOTIFICATON for texts but whatever I choose I still don't get notification via LED or VIBRATION and for my email accounts which Ican't see LED and VIBRATE is working fine (but of course can't change them)!
I have had this official OS10 software for awhile...well before I noticed this problem.

If the apple id being used by iCloud isn't the one you want, go to settings > icloud > delete account. It doesn't actually delete the account, but it removes it from your device so you can put in the right apple id

Change documents for STXD texts

hello,
does someone have an idea if it is possible to create change documents for texts created/manipulated with functions from function group STXD? E.g. such texts written and edited with SAVE_TEXT, EDIT_TEXT and so on.
it seems to me those functions do not natively support change documents....

Config can lock the texts showing date/time/userid for when created and not allowing change to the text that has already been saved...you can edit as I recall, adding more lines, but not modify what was already there. This is sometimes used in QM, etc., so that there's a "trail"...

But its getting apply to title as well as to Department - as above class is same for both fields , while I require to change the style only for the department.
Any suggestions ? I have changed the same using Designer which works as per the need , however - I dont want to use SPD Tool !!!
Bottom line : I Require different font style in Title and Department without use of SPD.

Smartview 11.1.2.5- Cannot change value in Text-List Dropdowns- Excel Crashes

Using latest/greatest Smartview with 64-bit Office and Windows 7. I have a native essbase app utilizing text-lists. I am trying to update text-value through smartview. Smartview automatically produces a drop down to select a value from the linked text-list. However- as soon as a different value is entered or selcted in this cell with the drop-down list- Excel crashs. I have reproduced this consistently everytime. I have no way to change values for text-measure accounts linked to text-lists. I feel this is and incompatabiliyt issue with office 64-bit.

SmartView using the forms. It appears this issue has been logged as issue number 6566082 as seen here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/readme/sv_1112200_readme.html
But I can't seem to find out where I can get information on the status of this issue and whether it's been patched in future versions.

Badi for text id check

Looking for Badi which we can implement for giving authorization to text ids in complaint fast entry screen.
As per Note # 854050-Display and change authorization for texts we can create authorization object but to give authorization alert we need to have badi where we can read the structure value of text id(TDID).

We have implemented note # 854050(created object, generated SAP_ALL profile).
Then created created one new role and added this object in it with display only authorization for one of text id and assigned it to user.
But this is not reflecting any effect when user trying to create complaint using CRMD_BUS2000120 tcode and can change text id.
We have assigned check of new z object in tcode CRMD_BUS2000120 in SU24.
One thing we have noted with authorization trace active(ST01), when user executed tcode CRMD_BUS2000120 trace is showing tcd value = BP after few check with tcd = CRMD_BUS2000120. Also in trace we could not able to find out the new Z authorization object we have added in CRMD_BUS2000120.
Please help if any one has implemented this note or implemented z authorization object check.
Please help is any thing is missing.

Change log of text items

Is there any way of finding out the change log for text items during text determination. e.g. The sales order is created by a set of users who specify the colour of the item in the sales item text - textid-ZCME. They change the colour after sometime in the text-id and there is no means of finding out who changed and when.

I am trying to find out how to change style for web layout on BPS on BW 3.5 Does an old system with custom css files no longer work? Where could I find info about unified rendering and how to change styles in it?
