Change subject in email

Please help!!!
I need to frequently change the subject line in incoming emails as I receive numerous faxes which only show the phone number in the subject line.
I saw a work around by dragging the email into the Drafts folder opening it and returning it back to the Inbox.
However, when it is put back into the Inbox it changes who the original sender is to myself. How can I keep the original sender after it reenters the Inbox? Plus, it changes the originally date sent to the date it is sent back from the Draft folder.
Is there anyway to customize the Drafts bar so that I could add "from" as one can in Microsoft Outlook???
This seems to be a basic feature....am I missing something???

1.Go to the Variant..and right click to go to MAINTAIN MESSAGE.
2.Then it does ask for the action,,Successful or Errors..
3. Click on the Required Selection.
4.Then u will find Edit Document List.
5.Click on it..and u will find the Title and Description ..
6.Change it to ur modifications..and
Save the Message..

How to Change Subject of Emails Received

Me again. On Outlook, I could do something called "in-line editing" in the list mode. This feature allowed me to change the subject of emails that I received to something that made sense to me before I filed them in a folder. Make sense? If someone sent me an email and they called it "Hello" and I wanted to keep it and rename it, "Info on Cats," so I would know what was in the email.
I don't want to create a smart folder for individual emails, but I would dearly love to revise the subject to be meaningful to ME.
BTW: Does everyone use Mail or are there more flexible programs that you like?

I have experienced frustration with this as well. Last year I wrote an Applescript. It works fine if you're running 10.3. For some reason I haven't been able to run it in Tiger. If anyone knows Applescript and can help I'd appreciate it. Here it is if you're interested:

We are now using QuickMail of Outspring and do not want to change to Mail, mainly due to the following problem of Mail:
Many of the Emails we receive do not reflect the keywords we use internally in our company, such as ordernumber, enquiry number, etc.. In Quick Mail we can easily add that number to the Emails received and file accordingly. Consequently we can easily find all correspondence on the relevant internal keyword/reference number by just typing that reference in the search machine of Quick Mail.

All Automator actions are application specific, so if you are looking for something to work QuickMail, you need to see if the developer has released any actions for it or contact them directly and ask them to.

Hi,
In NACE, select your output type and double click on the option for Mail title and Texts in the navigation area on the left side of the screen. Here you can maintain the Subject for your E-mail.

Change subject line of Email sent through "spool recipient functionality".

A batch job creates a spool, which is send through Email using spool recipient functionality. The subject line of the Email is as follows
"Job<job name>, Step <step no.>".
Is it possible to change the subject line of the Email?
Any pointers on this would be highly appreciated.

check the program name for job.
If the program is Custom program(starting with Z or Y) then you can easily change subject line of email.
If it is standard program then we have to look for alter path.

How can I change my Skype email notifications to E...

My email notifications from Skype are received in Spanish, apparently because I live in a Spanish-speaking country (Panama). Since I do not speak nor read Spanish, it would be greatly appreciated if these notifications could instead come in English. My account is set up with English as the language and Skype works just fine that way. The problem is that whenever I receive a notice via email from Skype, it is in Spanish. Is there a way to change that?

I will try writing Customer Service, thanks for the idea. I'd like to reply to the following message which came to my email address, but has yet to show up here, to say that there does not appear to be any option regarding "language" in the Subscriptions & Bookmarks section.

How to Update the Subject of Email Notification in GRC 10 PC

Hi All,
I am trying to update the subject of email Notification GRC 10 PC ,But it not happening,Please provide me your inputs..
i followed as per below steps.
Step 1 -->Go to transaction SE91.
Step 2 -->Enter “SWU_NOTIF” for the Message class and click on the “Change” button.
Step 3 -->In this example, we choose Maint. In logon lang.
Step 4 -->The Message Maintenance View displays the subject New work items in SAP system &1.
Step 5 -->Update Message 001, “New work items in SAP system &1” to “New work item in SAP Process Control
Application &1”; and click save
still old subject is there in my received mail.Please find the below screen shot for Reference..
Please need your inputs..

Go to SE16
Select Table GRFNVNOTIFYMSG
Hit Enter and Will Take you to this screen.
Click Change
Select the Notification type you wish to change ,here I am chaning in AR Submit
Doubke Click on that. Change the Subject.
I have changed it as per my requirement
Addedd Request number and User first name
and Last name.
Save it .

Why is typing in Subject for email slow and delayed?

When I attempt to type in the subject for email the typing is always delayed in appearing, but typing is normal otherwise. How do I get the subject line to stop being so slow to show the key stroks when typing?

This can be a problem with saved form data.
Does it still happen when you disable that feature?

Your Apple ID and iCloud email address don't need to be the same, you can't change an iCloud email address.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Once you have created a rescue address, you cannot delete it, nor can you change it to the same address as used by your ID. There are numerous providers you can get additional email addresses from, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google etc etc.

Perfernece for contact to change. Do I just have to dis-associate my contact fromt the facebook account? Is only the autofill changable?

If you allow Facebook to access your contacts and you have the @facebook.com email alias turned on, it will add the @facebook.com email to your contact info, and because it has the fixed label of "email" it overrides every other email address.
They didn't fix this in iOS 8.
There are two ways to remove the @facebook.com email from your contact info:
If you don't need your Facebook friends and their info updating your contacts, go into iOS Settings -> Facebook and turn off access to Contacts.
If you don't use your @facebook.com email address (all it does it forward to the primary email address) you can go into the Facebook app, More -> Settings -> General -> Email -> and uncheck "Use your Facebook email". Removing it from Account Emails does not work, you have to turn it off. Once you do this, go to iOS Settings -> Facebook and turn Contacts off and on again to make it update your info. The @facebook.com address should be removed.
