Changing a Budget after release in ECM - Urgent!

After a budget has been created and released in ECM can you add new Budget Units?
For example,  if a few days after we release the budget we need to move some people into a new Org Unit.  Right now we've noticed that if the Org Unit wasn't around when the budget was created, it is not recognized.  Is there any way to change this?
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Thank you for your reply.
This is true, but you can't reset it to planning if some of the budget has already been allocated (which is the case in our situation).
Has anyone else had this issue?
If someone else has tried this and it is not possible that information would be helpful as well.
Thank you!

  • Changing Purchase Reqs after release.

After releasing a Preq (Cost Centre), if we attempt to change it in ME52N everything on the line's display only. So I can't increase the qty for example and send for re-approval (trigger the release strategy). This is normal?
The Changeability indicator in OMGQ for the release indicator (F - released) was blank. I changed this to 4 but neither allow us to change the Preq after realease. Could you maybe advise please? Is it possible to change the req after release, seems odd I can't?

    Hello,
in customizing for release indicator, you must check also field "Field selection key" which is defined under "Material management --> Purchasing --> Purchase requisition --> Define screen layout at document level". You should check the "Field selection key" assigned to your release indicator: that key defines the mandatory, optional and view-only fields in Purchase documents, and can be linked to a release status.
    Hope to be useful.

  • Change message status after release purchase order

    Hi,
    I'm a newbie in MM...
When a purchase order is created, the message status is not processed (yellow light) until the purchase order is released. Then the message is printed and the status changes to green light.
As far as I see, I can't find in the spro where is this customizing set or if there is a user-exit or badi for changing the message status depending on the release indicator.
    Thanks in advance!
    Jen

    Hi Jen,
Complete the condition record, for example, like this:
    - Transaction: MN04
    - Output Type: NEU
    - Choose third option: Purchasing Output Determination Document Type
    - Document Type: NB
    - Function: VN (Vendor)
    - Medium: 1 (Print output)
    - Date/Time: 4 (Send immediately (when saving the application))
Select the line and press button "Communication". Complete the output device and mark the option "Print immediately"
So, when the PO is created the system generates the message with yellow status. Then, when the PO is released, the message status will be green

  • PR quantity change after Release

    Hi Friends,
I am unable to change PR Quantity after release of PR. Please suggest..
    Regards,

    hi,
When you set up the release strategy there is an indicator for the changability, which states that whether you wanna make the further changes in the PR doc, once it is released...
So, if you wanna allow the changability for the PR docs, then you can use the any of the indicator among 4, 5 , 6 as per your req....
by this you shd be able to make changes...

  • Not allowing users to change qty in PM order after release

    Hi
I am using the user exit  IW010009(customer check for save event - ZXWOCU07 to control the permit functionality against the plan cost in the PM order, which is functioning well. But I have a requirement to check , the below scenario.
In IW31, the user creates the order with component “A” and qty 10 having value more than the permit value (say Rs.5000/,) and if he tries to release the order, the system does not allow the user to release the order. The user goes and changes the qty of the component “A” to 3 and the value is less than Rs 5000. The user successfully releases the order, but doesn’t save. He then goes to the component tab and changes the qty to 10 and save the order.
I need some help to control the user action, of changing the qty, after release. Is there any table/function where I can find the order no and the qty entered after release of the PM order and  before saving.
I have done some coding for WBS entry (customization) and the permit in the user exit IW010009.

    Hi Jogeswara Rao
I have pasted below the requirement from my original thread

  • What happen if I change a role after I released the transport?

    Here is my Scenerio:
    1) Assuming I've created a role : ROLE1 in DEV
    2) I create a transport TR1 with that ROLE1, NOT yet released.
    3) Then I added ME21 txn to ROLE1.
    4) Then I released the transport TR1
    5) Then I remove ME21 txn from ROLE1.
    6) Then I transport role from DEV to QA.
Q1) I would expect In QA, ROLE1 will still has ME21. - True?
Q2) TR1 will be the snapshot of the ROLE1 when I release the transport TR1 - True?
Now, I want to delete the ROLE1,
    A) I would need to create another Transport TR2 first with ROLE1 in DEV
    B) Then delete ROLE1 in DEV
    C) Then release Transport TR2
    D) Then I decided that I still need ROLE1. (oops)
Q3 I should not transport TR2 so that it won't delete it in QA. - True?

You should add the role again to the Transport to avoid inconsistency

Answer: If you reassign the role to the TR then you will get.
    > Q2) TR1 will be the snapshot of the ROLE1 when I release the transport TR1 - True?
Answer:  TRUE (but without ME21 if you don't add the change to the CR - see below for detail discussion)

Answer:  TRUE. And if you want the role again back to DEV without recreating it, please download the role from QAS or PROD and then Upload it to DEV. After that you need to generate the Profile of the role.

FYI:   When a Change is Included into a request to send in other systems, then this request is called "Change Request" (CR). After Releasing, the CR called as "Transport request".
CRs are basically (in layman language) the Pointers to the DB changes performed. These are included into a CR as "Task". A CR can contain multiple Tasks created by different users.
Please note if this is a Workbench CR then it is ONLY editable by that particular user(owner of the Task). Also the Object captured in a Task of a WCR possesses a Lock till it gets released and thus can't be added to any other Task of a different CR. The Objects are unlocked when the Tasks and the CR is released respectively.
There are no Object Lock for Customizing CRs ... like your TR1 which contains Creation / Deletion of roles.
After the release of each Task, all Objects contained into every Task are transferred to the Change Request. After release of all Tasks, the CR owner can release the CR and thus the Transport Request has been initiated. Technically, at this time, a copy of Data from the Database of DEV captured under the headers of each Tasks are written to Data Files in Central Transport Directory.
Now coming to your queries..... there are no such synchronization happens for a Task if the Objects are edited in different time frames before Release.  So, when you added ME21, again you need to assign this change to the same CR. (_Answer to your Q1_)
Please let me know if you have any confusion / query.

  • How to prevent PO changes in ME22N after Order acknowledgement?

    Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me how to prevent PO changes (ANY) in ME22N after Order acknowledgement?
I would like to make it possible without release strategy process or authorizations.
Do you know some User Exit or Customazing way?
    Regards.
    Jaime S.

    Dear Jaime S,
You can do this by restricting in authorization SHDO and also by marking "changes not possible after release" in Release strategy procedure.
And also you can navigate the menu to, SPRO------>IMG------>Material Management--->Purchasing(OLME)------->Purchase Order---->Define screen Layouts at Document Level---->And go to ME22n And Select the right parameter and in this you can make it display, optional or required entry for the fields.

  • Changing Budget amount values after the budget is released in Compensation.

    Hello All-
Is there a way to change the budget amount in a budhget unit in Compensation management once its released? The budget value once released goes into Infotype 1520 Final Budget. Is there a way to change that value? I tried using PP01 and PP02 but I can not see the value to change it.
    Thanks-
    Chakri.

    HI,
You can not change the budget value once it's ben released.. you can create a new budget and tag it to the compensation adjustment.

  • Internal change after Release

    Hi
    Scenario
We are using internal order (Investment) for capital budgeting.
We have created two roles a)Z_FI_IOCREATION for order creation, change
and display and b)Z_FI_IORELEASE exclusively for releasing the order.
End users create the order and their HOD's release the oders.
    Requirement
End users can change the order n number of times but only before
    Release of the order.
After release of Order if the order is changed by end user the orders
should be available for Release again. This way we contol the change of
orders after approval. How this can be addressed.
    Regards
    Ganesh

    Hi,
Try whether you do not give authroization for change of Internal Order through transaction code KO02.
    Trust this helps much!
    Cheers!

  • Change the  description of the change request number" in SE10 after release

    Hi All
Is there way to change the
"description of the change request number" in SE10
after releasing the change request number?
    appreciate your feedback
    Thanks you
    Iver

    Hello
I do not know a way to do it in se10 but a simple program could do the trick.
Include the following code in your program.
update e07t set as4text = 'your new description'
          where trkorr = your_cr and langu = 'E'.
Of course you will have to wrestle with the 'moral issue' of directly updating SAP delivered tables

  • Need to Change PR after Release

    Hi,
We have a PR which is created and Released. It is configured in such a way that after release, changes are not allowed. Now, the user wants to change the Purchase Group field (only that field) in the PR without re-triggering the release strategy. I checked the Release Indicator in the Release Strategy and changed the field 'Changeable' to the value 2.
Now, it allows to change the Purchase Group. But, user also be able to add new line items to PR, which we don't want to allow. That means, user should only be able to change the Purchase Group field of the existing line items. No other changes should be allowed.
How we can solve this issue.. Please give me your suggestions.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Arminda,
    Thanks for your reply.
I tried that. As you said, it will make all fields as 'Display' and only 'Purchasing Group' as editable.
But, the problem is, it will allow the user to add a new line item to the PR without affecting the Release Status.
I don't want to allow the user to add another line item.
Is there any control in the field 'Changeable' where we give the values 1 to 4 ? Please let me know.

  • Changes in PR even after release

    Dear Gurus
In purchase Requisition change (ME52N) it is allowing to change PR Quantity and Price even after released from the higher authorities.
What Configuration has to be done so that After release of PO system should not allow to do any changes in Purchase requisition.
Where as the purchase requisiotn changes has to be done only after the higher authority asks to make changes i.e the higher authorities has sent for revision.
Also plz let me know how can the higher authority set the purchase req for Changes in SAP (Any configuration has to be done for that).
    Or any customizing settings required.
If the Changes is done in PR then again release strategy should be applicable.
    Please guide me.
    Regards
    shailesh

    Hi SHailesh,
In your release procedure for PR's. For the release indicator, in the field changebill enter
    Options:
1 - Cannot be changed (no changes possible)
4 - Changeable, but new release in case of value change or strategy change
The above will resolve your issue.
    if helpful award points

  • Change PR after release

Can we change the quantity after the PR is released?
If yes then will the system auto retrigger /inform the respective person for release again?

    Hi
it depends on your setting for your release indicator. Therefore make changes to purchase requisition and save it.  change release indicator key to "6" so that release strategy gets trigered again for release group to triger release. just confirm whether indicator is 6 to retriger for approval.
    hope it solves issue.

  • Po header change after release

    Dear All
We require list of PO for last one month PO header or tiem level text has been changed after release
    Regards
    Dishant

    Hi,
You can use the following report to get you all the changes in PO. Ask your ABAP person to run it for you.
    http://www.sap-img.com/mm001.htm
It is an ABAP program contributed by one of the SAP members, which reports all the changes made in PO and list out the details per document.
    Hope it helps,

  • Purchase order changes after release

    Hi,
How can I block a purchase order to any changes after release it and then, in case of need, mark for deletion the purchase order itens?
    Regards,
    Maria

    Hi,
To block any changes in the purchase order to after release, set Changeability  indicator as 1 for  Release ID "R" in following path & save.:
SPRO ->MM - Purchasing -> PO -> Rlease Procedure for PO -> Define Release for PO -> Release Indicator
NOTE:If you set  Changeability  indicator as 3, PO can be changed after release and trigger a  new release strategy based on value changes.
