Changing apple ID for app store updates.
My son's friend put his apple ID in our ipad, and now when i try to update an app, the friend's ID shows up and mine does not. I do not know how to change it back.
What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app ? If it's your son's friend's id then tap on it and log out of it and then log back in with your id. But any apps that your son's friend downloaded will be tied to his id, so only his id will be able to download updates to those apps

How can I change Apple ID for App Store?
I changed my Apple ID, Itunes on my Itouch recognizes it, but the app store does not. How can I change AppleID for App Store? When I try to update my apps it asks for the password for my old Apple ID which does not exist anymore.
Thank you for the reply. I've done that twice and have no problem getting into the ITunes store. Problem is that I have 12 apps that want to be updated. I go to App Store and slect to "update all" and first thing it does is bring up my old AppleID (no place to change it) and asks for the password for that Apple ID.
I tried doing a sync to my computer in case that would work, but no help. I wonder if I will have to do a complete reset just to fix this??? -

on my iphone 5 ios8, i have an apple id for App store and a defferent id for Icloude. i forgot the pw for the icloude id. how can i reset or delete icloude ?
Greetings chaimba216,
After reviewing your post, I located an article that can help with resetting your iCloud password:
iCloud: Change your iCloud password
Your iCloud password protects the privacy of the information (such as your email) stored in iCloud. Your password also protects your ability to locate or remotely erase your device using Find My iPhone. You should regularly change your iCloud password to protect your information. Your iCloud password is the password for the Apple IDyou use to sign in to iCloud.
Important: If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud as you do with other Apple services such as the Apple Online Store, iTunes Store, App Store, or to purchase products in iPhoto or Aperture, changing your iCloud password also changes your password for these services. Make sure you sign in to those locations using your new password.
Go to the My Apple ID website (appleid.apple.com) and follow the instructions to reset your Apple ID password.
For more information, see the Apple Support article Apple ID: Changing your password.
After changing your iCloud password, make sure you update it on all your devices and in any email apps you use to get your iCloud email.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > iCloud, then tap your iCloud account.
On a Mac: Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
On a Windows computer: Open iCloud for Windows.
In your email apps: Check the help provided for the email apps you’re using.
If you set up iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, make sure to set up a passcode lock on your device for added security. (Go to Settings > Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode.)
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
Best,

Changing apple ID in app stores
Anyone know how to change apple ID in app store. It will not let me put in my ID
I have the same problem. I downloaded Yosemite in a user account not realizing that installing it in the useraccount would install it to all accounts.
I went back to my admin to install it there. When I try to install it it uses the Apple ID for my user account, not the one I want to use. I went back to delete the download in the user account and I can't delete it without using my admin username and password, however my admin username and password will not work for anything in the user account but it always works when I use it in the admin account.
Does it matter which Apple ID I use to install Yosemite? I'd rather use mine but it will only accept my wifes. -

Want to change account name for App Store
I have changed the iTune store account name and want to update for App Store, so that I can updates applications. How to change the account name on the App Store? I changed in the Setting but it doesn't affect in the App Store. Thanks for your help.
I think you need to login to a different iTunes account from within iTunes, then sync your iPhone/iPod Touch. It should then have your other store account as the default.

HT204053 can i use one apple id for apps store 2 devises and icloud every device own id
Can i use one AppleID for apps store on 2 devises and for iCloud every device owne ID
To clarify, we share an iPad (original iOS 5.1.1).
When I use it, I would like to use my individual AppleID that I use for store purchases so I get MY iMessages on both my phone and the iPad.
It seems to work when I use the iCloud Apple ID (meaning iMessages come through on both units) but when I try to set them both up using my store Apple ID, it doesn't work.
Help?!?! -
HT1311 i can't change apple id in app store
I can' change apple id in app store
What exactly are you trying to do, and on what on ?
If an iOS device then you can log out of an account by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store - if that is greyed out then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Accounts is not set to 'Don't Allow Changes
If a computer's iTunes then you can log out of an account via the Store > Sign Out menu option, and that will then change to Store > Sign In
All apps, and any other content that you download from the store, are tied to the account that downloaded it. -

How to change apple id for app updates
The user id that displays on my ipod is correct on the settings menu but when I try to update my apps, the apple id that displays (and wants a password) is one that I no longer use. How can I change the apple id for this one function to my current correct one? I've tried poking around all the settings and can't find where to change it. Once it is changed, I can then use my regular password. Thanks!
Hi jabsykes,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you may have downloaded or purchased applications from two different Apple IDs. To update those applications, you will need to sign in to the Apple ID that downloaded the applications initially. Please use the attached article for instructions on how to sign out and sing in to different Apple IDs on your iOS device.
iOS: Sign in with a different Apple ID in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store

Change apple-id in App-store?
I had to change my apple-id, but the app-store continues to us my old apple-id. How can I change it? Updates and new apps I download with the appstore allways are registred with my old apple-id. Thats a big problem, because I have forgotten the safetycode.
If you sold your Mac to a stranger or friend, before doing so, your obligation, as per Apple and the Terms of Use for OS X and any apps that you bought (free & paid) from the Mac App Store, is to erase the Mac and install the latest version of the version of Mac OS X that originally shipped on the Mac. If it was OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 or earlier that shipped from the factory on the Mac, you should use the Install DVDs that came with the Mac and reinstall Snow Leopard and then install the latest update combo. If it was OS X Lion 10.7 or later that shipped from the factory on the Mac, you should use OS X Recovery which will install the most recent version of OS X that shipped on the Mac from the factory.
What to do before selling or giving away your Mac

If you recieve a used Mac and this has not been done, you are in receipt of pirated software that you will never be able to update without the Apple ID of the previous owner. The Apple ID is encoded in the licensed copies of the software installed on the Mac, it is in the software's DNA and cannot be legally changed. -
My iPhone 3 will not recognise my update account info (specifically user id). When prompting me for my password for App updates & purchases the prompt refers back to my previous inactive username therfore it will not accept my password. If have triple checked my account information in apple id settings & even changed the password for a third time. I have also tried turning the phone on & off once my id settings were updated. can anyone help?

Changed Apple ID, but app store still wants old one
I changed my Apple ID to a new email address because the old address stopped working. However, the App Store still wants my old address and the old ID (email address) and password are invalid. How can I fix this?
iTunes and Mac App STore purchases are forever registered to the Apple ID that bought them. Apple does not transfer purchases from one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple does not merge Apple ID accounts. The Apple ID is encoded into the licensed copy that you downloaded to your Mac and that is the only Apple ID that can redownload or update the purchases.
You erred making a new Apple ID. You should have simply changed the primary email address associated with the Apple ID.
Changing the email address you use for your Apple ID -
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621
It is too late to do that now because you have used your email address to create the new Apple ID. An email address can only be associated with one Apple ID.
There is a very complicated process to reuse the new email address.
