Changing header in report painter

Hi All,
I have a requirement to change the header(column). I am using the global variable &5PY(Period/Year) in the characterictics value. So it displays an output like 06.2008. But the client needs this to be displayed as June 2008.
Kindly help me out with this.

In report painter you can select variouselements based on which the data will be pulled. I haven't seen any report painter with two header lines and don't think report painter allows that. But for your requirement I believe you can select the periods in the header line itself.

How to create 2 lines header in Report painter

Hi. I am not good at Report painter. I want to create 2 lines header in Report painter just like SAP std report.
When I create a new form, I only have one line header form but cannot add additional header line.
I am looking at the 0SAPFS10-01 Trans.Fig.- Balances. which has two header lines
                           Debit              Credit            Balance       Accumulated Balanc
Periods                     &1FY               &1FY               &1FY               &1FY
I can create only one header just like

cannot add additional line for

Change Table in Report Painter

Hi Experts,
I have some Report Painter reports assigned to a Library. I would like to change the table. Is there a a way to change the table without re-writing the reports? I can add a new table, but do not know how to remove the existing table without affecting the report. Does any one have an idea? Please advice.

Change color on Report Painter

Dear gurus.
Pls give idear about Report painter.
Now I am making comparson report between planned data and
actual data on report painter in order to check variance between them.
Column1: Planned data
Column2: Actual data
Column3: Variance between Column1 and 2
Then, I want to change the font color of Column3 only in
case that the variance over the criteria such as 10,000 $.
Do you know how to do it on report painter?
I don't care whether "Change color" or "make font Bold" or "Font blinking".
My purpose is to give warning to report's readers which record
they have to read carefully.

Thanks for your info.
I tried the way you mentioned.
However, the thing I want to do is not to change the font color of specified column.
The thing I want to do is to setup the threshhold such as percentage or amount
and emphasize the data which over the threshhold by changing the color
automatically.

Let user assign header for Report Painter Report

Hi all,
I would like to let the user assign the header while generate the report.
(Because the report is somewhat dynamic)
Here the details of my requirement:
1) Let the user input the header text in the selection screen of the report
2) Display the inputted text as the header ( Which setup at GRR2 via Extras > Rport Texts -> Headers)
Or any possible dynamic method will be welcome.
Tried to define a variable for this, but unused variable will not show up for selection when setup header

How to change order of report painter columns

I have a report which shows the columns in one order when in design mode in GRR2 but when the report runs, the columns display in a different order. When in design mode, you can see the actual output order by clicking the form overview button and selecting the columns tab.
I am trying to figure out how to set the column order, short of deleting all the columns and recreating them.
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to do this?

Doug,
using MDC with SAP is ok. Try the following:
- Use SE14->Edit->Storage Parameter->For new creation and specify the ORGANIZIE BY DIMENSION clause.
- Go to the change-mode for the table in SE11. Switch to the 'Fields'-Tab and select the complete second line. Then click on 'Cut'.
- Now select the first line in the same way and click on 'Paste'. By doing so you moved the field at position 2 to position 1.
- Save the changes, click on 'Check' and, if that succeeds, click on 'Activate'.

Report painter only done in PROD

Dear all,
We have one issue on PROD ,
we have One report painter on PROD,but tha same is not there in DEV, QA . Actually which was done on only PROD , we need to customise that report
I thing they have done on PROD only (bcoz which was done by previous support company)
what should i do ...now FI consultant needs to change that specfic Report painter ....
we have to customize that report (specfic Report painter )
can we make make copy from PROD to QA ?
can we make that specfic Report painter from PROD to QA ...

Report painter report with two header rows

Experts,
I have managed the variable values in report painter but in display output i am unable to recognize the
value displayed for march / April is actual or planned
Please find attached screen shot for the same...
Is there any way to have both the information on header row?

Hi Sagar...
Please change the short, medium and long text as you wish (please have all the description in the long text), by default system displays with the medium text, but no need to worry, when you keep the cursor on the head column of the text (where medium text is maintained), system displays with long text also. By this you can see the long text. This option we may use for adding additional text there, maintain some text at medium text and maintain additional text at long text option, so when you keep the cursor at head of the column with medium text, you see long text in addition.
If you want to have the long text instead of short or medium text make changes like this..
By this you make the text length at maximum i.e. 21 digits I suppose and then.....
By the above you select "long text" as default

Report painter - Choosing column heading text

I'm having a specific problem with getting the right column heading text into my G/L report painter report created in FGI2/FGI5. In the report painter form I have created the three texts for my column (short, medium and long text). In order for the heading to be meaningful I need the report to show the medium or long text. This is also the case when I run the report as object type Object list. Here the medium text is displayed. However, when I run the report as a Classic drilldown report or a Graphical report output the short column heading text is shown.
Now, I know from running the standard report 0SAPBLNCE-01 in FGI0 that it is possible to have the long column header text shown in the report, so I'm not willing to give up. But can any of you guys help me on how to make the report show the correct text?

Hi Anna and thanks for your suggestion. I have tried changing the header text length in the form as you suggested, but it does not seem to affect the display in neither of the three output types of the report. I assume that there must be a way to control the text header length specifically for each of the three output types. But how....

Hard coded headings in report painter - To change company name

Am trying to change the Company name on the headings of reports created via report painter.

Go to GRR2
Click on Extras >> Report Texts >> Headers
Here you will find the Company Name typed
Go ahead and change it or if you use a selection criteria, click on charecteristics and choose Company Code & Description.

COPA report change Header text

Hi,
I am preparing COPA line item report. I am not able to change or add header text in the report as we do in report painter report.
The form I am using is KE94 Create and KE95 Chage.The report painter option extras-> Report Text -> header text is not available in KE95 forms.
Any Idea on how to do the changes in header text in this case.

I've report painter issue. When out of a report is printed, and when it is longer than one page..... the column header description is not getting displayed on second page.
how can i show column header description on subsequent pages?

I have the same issue. I have also de-selected the 'Allow row to break across pages' for the whole table but still the table breaks and continues on the next page.
I see that the question has been answers correct but no solution provided. I would appreciate if you could post the solution.
