Changing Inspection characteristics of Certificate Profile

Dear All,
I copied one certificate profile from another certificate profile . Then i want to change the copied certificate profile . System not allowing adding at first characteristic it allowing to add at last . How can i add that specification as first .

When you add the new characteristic at the end, simply change the number on the far left to a value like 12 or 8. When you save and come back in, it should be up where you want it. you can delete the characteristic 10 but I don't beleive you can reuse the number until you archive data off the system as I believe it is marked for deletion and then not displayed but it still resides in the Datebase.
You should be able however to update the characteristic in positon 10 to a new mic if you want though.

How to prevent erase of certificate to sign and encrypt? I've not found in restriction the setting for save certificate.

COA Profile
A certificate profile controls inspection lot selection, the sequence of characteristics, and the characteristic data.COA Profile contains the List of MICs in desired sequence in which the result for them is supposed to be printed in the COA.
Within the certificate profile, you determine the selection and sequence of the characteristics whose results are to be documented on the certificate. You can vary the origin and representation of the data for each characteristic. You can also withhold certain information from the certificate, if, for example, you do not want to reveal a certain measured value.
At the header level of the certificate profile, you can define restrictions for selecting inspection lots and partial lots. For example, you may want to specify that only lots with a quality score of at least 80 are considered. At certificate creation, the system selects all inspection lots and partial lots for the material (and batch, if necessary) that meet the selection criteria and have a usage decision. The characteristics are then retrieved from the most recent inspection lot or partial lot in this list. (The lot creation date is the determining factor.)

In COA Profile, you want to know what are the materials assigned,,,,
Here are the options available....
1. In COA profile QC02/QC03 screen there is a tab available named as "ASSIGNMENTS", just click on it and it will give you the details.
2 The best way is Run trx QC17. and know the list.

QC Certificate Profile

Dear QC Experts,
We have created several QC certificate profiles in SAP R/3 currently and a requirement has come up to rename these profiles for easy end user identification. Is there any standard method of renaming the existing QC certificate profiles other than copying and deleting the old one?

Yes, you always need a certificate profile. Usually you always use V2 (shipping). The form you used, QM_QCERT_01 is only an example form that SAP provides. It should be copied and must be adapted for your businss and you'll need a person knowledgable about SAPscript to make changes to it. I believe there is another for a COC (Certificate of compliance) which might be more what your looking for if you don't need to report batch values or inspection lot vales.
Your probaly missing the certificate recipent record. You'll find this under the QM area under Outgoing certificates. You can try adding LQCA output type directly to the delivery in the item outputs. (Any good SD person on site should be able to show you how to do this)
To understand condition tables and procedures I would again turn to an SD person or a pricing person. They use the condition technique a lot and should be able to explain it easilly. They should also be able to help with setting up the output procedures and related items as well.

Certificate Profile default values

Is there a way to default values when adding a new Master Insp. Characteristic when creating a Cert Profile? For example, if I want to default:
Category=1 Master inspection characteristic
Plant=QM00
Result Selection Level=1 Summary
Add Text when not ok=1 If outside specification

There is no option in SAP for creating the default values in the certificate profile. We can either try using the exits like QMSD0001 or just copying the earlier created characteristics.

Certificate type can be crated for identification, hence you can crate type in img (Quality ManagementQuality CertificatesCertificate ProfileDefine Certificate Types)which you can assign a status profile if required.
Define a form which you can use the std one
Define Data Origin and Profile Determination u2013 this I think std can be used unless you want to defer SAP std. This will help to choose a certificate profile incase if you have more than one for a particular combination
Transaction
In QC01 use the certificate type created and enter a name for profile.
Give the name of form.
Click on characteristics overview button and enter the details. and then the release the profile
In QC15 assign the material to certificate.
Try and come back

Inprocess inspection characteristics missing

Dear all
i assigned 03 inspection to a material but forgot to assign inspection characteristics, lot has been created at the time of the creation of production order. now i want to do the inspection but there is no assigned characteristics. i have assigned characteristics to that material in routing but how to get the effect on that lot to get the characteristics without changing order
is there any option plz guide me

Dear Nasir,
You have to try to read the Production Order master data through Production Order --> Functions --> Read Master Data. This is the way you can reset your lot Because In process inspection lot is attached with Production / Process Order. Other wise cancel the production order and create the new one. I hope this will work.

Note : Quality certifiactes which is important for business,there are two types.
Incoming Certificate - while performing incoming inspection against MIGO (Vendor PO),quality inspector/engineer should prepare the certificate,this scenario is called Incoming certificate.
Outgoing Certificate - while performing Final inspection against Prod.order or Sale order delivery,quality inspector/engineer should prepare the certificate,this scenario is called outgoing certificate.
Quality certificate profile is mandatory with characterstics values.

Hi,
Please also check under QM client settings in SPRO to ensure that the "replace master inspection characteristics" box is ticked as this will allow changes in the MIC to update the references in the inspection plan. Also check the QM settings at plant level if you have ticked master inspection characteristics with history then if you do a change in the MIC it will create a new version and not update the inspection plans. If this is ticked you will have to manually go into the inspection plan and assign the new MIC version.

Single material mtutiple Certificate profile.

How to system will select automatically certificate profile for a particular inspection lot. On the other way for one material more than one certificate profile for different inspection type will be assign in system.

Its certainly depends upon the Material-Inspection lot origin & Inspection type combination for a certificate profile .
A combination of origin and inspection type can only appear once in the list for a material while assigning to a certificate profile.
When a Inspection lot is created system check the MaterialInspection lot origin-Inspection type ---Certificate profile combination.

Link between Material code, Customer & Certificate Profile (Quality)

I develop one smart form for quality certificate.
But I am not able to find out the link between Material, Customer & Certificate profile.
In which table these all data are storing.
On the basis of above condition MIC will print on Quality certificate.

It should be posted in QM forum, isn't it? Anyway, try this.
First you get the profile schema in table T683 (configuration of profile schema in Quality Management -> Quality certificates -> Certification Profile -> Profile determination -> Define schema for profile determination). Standard one is QC0001.
Then you use function call V61I_CERT_PROFILE_FINDING with parameter (standard routine for finding certificate profile. Unless you have the user exit, this routine should work):
I_APPLICATION = QC
I_DATE = current date or whatever date (i.e., delivery date in outbound delivery)
I_DIALOG = leave blank
I_HEADER_COMMUNICATION => here you can put in your customer, material, plant ; depend on your access sequence
I_SCHEME = value from table T683
You will get the output in table E_KONDI which give you data of condition rec. no, certification type, profile and version.
Then you can use certification type, profile and version to select the characteristics from QCVM.

MIC Selection in certificate profile on the base varsion.

Dear Experts,
i am not able to get my required MIC with valid task list selection on the date base, I have a MIC with versions 1,2,and 3 i need to select the MIC with version 1, i have created a certificate profile and for selecting the MIC i have chosen from Extras- Characteristic from valid task list and gave the valid group and the old date in which the MIC with version 1 is valid after selecting the MIC if i go and check in the display MIC i am observing the new MIC with version 3 only, But if i directly enter the MIC and its version number it is selected where as i am not getting it when i select it from task list, please let me know if the behavior is as per the standard SAP or not and is there any possibility to select the old version MIC from the Task list directly.

Now i created Certificate Profile today and while selecting the MIN from Task list i gave the details as Group and valid from date as 19.10.2011 and found the MIC A with version 1 and selected the version and after saving when i go and check the MIC details i found it as MIC A with version 4 dint understand why it is version 4 even after i selected version 1 and saved it.
Can you please comment on this why it is changing like this but one thing i observed is if i directly enter the MIC and give the version as 1 and save, it is remaining the same.l am getting this problem only when i select it through task list.
