Check Copies

Hi All,
I am having an issue that it is not possible to print a copy of your check on blank stock while trying to print your original from the Document Printing window. For Example, I want to print check #1, and I would like to print a copy of check #1 behind it, however the only way to print a copy of the check is to enter "2" in the window where you select which printer you would like to print from, and then it will actually give the "Copy" of the check a separate number, so now you have printed check #1 and check #2, instead of printing an actual "Copy" of the original check with the same check number as the original check. Please advise how this issue is handled as this is a pretty common business practice.

Yes, I put in 2 in the Document Printing window, however this makes no difference, if I don't put 2 in the print window then only 1 copy will print, and if I put in 2 in the print window and 2 in the document printing window then 2 copies will print but with different check numbers.

How to check COPA Data in R/3

Hi Experts,
There are some entries of COPA posted in BW are incorrect. Business wants to know who has posted these entries in R/3 . Could you please suggest me some transactions codes of R/3 for COPA related data so that I can investigate it.
The problem is with Profit Center and Sales District Data there are some extra entries for Profit centers not relevant to the Sales District assigned.
Reward points would not be a problem.

Your records are in BW ?????do you have the CO_PA documnets number with you.???
then go to KE24 or KE25 as mentioned and here you can give the CO-PA doc number you will get a list of records just double on the recprds and it will take you the respective COPA docs....andhere check what is enetry maintained in the sales district field...and you can verifye whether the postings are correct or not.
These transactions are fast enough then the SE12 and RSA3.
try to give as much selection as possible when looking in KE24.

COGS Values are not flowing to COPA

Hi,
Can you check whether COPA document is created for billing document and COGS value field is updated in this document? If this value is not updated then you need to check COGS value field mapping to COGS condition type (generally VPRS).
If the COGS value is updated in COPA document then you need to check COPA form and report.

COGS not capture in COPA

Hi,
I had a scenerio that there is pricing error in SD when the user create the billing documment and the cost of good sold was not capture in the billing document after the user created the condition type. However the invoice cannot be cancelled and the COGS was not capture in COPA. is it possible to create line item in COPA to reflect the missing COGS for the same line items? Pls advice.

Normally in make to stock (descrete) scenario. VPRS condition type is assigned to COPA value field of COGS.
Check COPA settings if VPRS is assigned to any value field in transaction code KE41.
Meanwhile for those where already sales documents are already transffered to COPA without COGS. You can create document in COPA with TCode KE21n or try to rerun the sales documents using KE2B after assigning the VPRS condition type.

One big question about glitches in my software if I install Lion or buy a new mac with Lion

I have 2009 Leopard I Mac. My bank now insists I have an Intel supported browser and more. Apple said Firefox will do it, but I need to upgrade to either Snow Leopard or Lion or buy a new I Mac with Mt. Lion installed. I read complaints about MP Navigator, Quicken and other software not working on SL or Lion..with my Canon printer..I am over 70 and legally blind, do all our accounting, taxes and correspondence with my I Mac including making DVD's, Cd's...and not able to figure out problems easily. Any suggestions on what I can do? I have to be able to access on=line banking, and also print check copies, etc. for our taxes.

CO PA Data source

Can anyone tell me steps and transactions used to create Data source in R3 side for CO PA Extraction .
I am using KEB0 Transaction , What is the procedure , I gave a name and Pressed F8 , IT took to a screen , But that is in Display mode , No save option was there , How to make it in change mode and how to save the data source , How to view that data source after Creating .
Steps related to Creation , Saving , viewing of CO PA data source in R3 sides are needed ...

Hi Kumar,
Company specific Structures in COPA are definined in Operating Concerns. They are of two types of COPA: Cost Based or Account based. These operating concerns have their own characteristics, value fields if it is cost based and characteristics, amounts and G/L accounts if it is account based COPA.
Main Tables in COPA
CE1xxxx Actual Line Item Table
(xxxx refers to operating Concern)
CE2xxxx Plan Line Items
CE3xxxx Value Fields (Key Figures),
(simlar to Fact Table in BW)
CE4xxxx Characteristics table
(similar to Dimension table)
For COPA extraction there is no standard business content data sources available because companies operating concerns are oganization specific, hence for these customized datasources have to be created using transaction KEB0 using above tables. The data read by the extractor using pull mechanisms. Note to counter high volumes of data they are delata enabled and there is safety delta of 30 minutes as it pulls only data that is older than 30 minutes.

Copying text from PDF and no spaces

I get a pdf of Investors Business Daily from thier site. It is copy protected but I use PDFKey to unlock it, so I can copy text. When I copy text and paste it elsewhere often there are no spaces between words, I at first thought it had to do with the justification they used.   However if I use Preview the spaces are there!   So why the difference? I use acrobat pro vs. preview for other reasons. Is there some setting in preferences?
Second question. On this site, upper right is a box and magnifing glass. If I use that to search the forums I get results for ALL forums. Anyway to limit the search to just the forum your in?

I think you missunderstand. Since IBD posts most of the articles on their webpage, and that is not copy protected I could just do that. Also since I am not republishing the articles but merrily re-organizing them for my own use, this does NOT break copyright law (check laws about copying any copyrighted material for you own personel use).

The work being copied must be a legal (i.e. non-pirate) copy.   check
Beyond this there are also fair use and research and study laws, that, if they applied for my use, would still permmit copying the material.
That aside, I am NOT asking for help in using PDF cracking software. Infact, Preview copies the material from the original file just fine.
All that PDFKey does is flip one bit in the file, it does not change spaces or spacing between words, throughout the file.
I am just asking how can it be that copying the same material from one source file, using two different PDF reading apps, give different results.

How can I avoid getting multiple duplicates?

I have been getting 5 to 20 or more copies appear in files for unexplained reasons.
The check box for decreasing duplicates has been checked
copies are exactly the same except they have sequential numbers. I erase
them and they show up again
I have used a plug in called duplicate finder2 which has not worked
I also have frequent crashes of LR
tech attributed this to a Microsoft Error with a .dll file, but even when
that was corrected the problem persists.

Dennis, there must be something else wrong with your Aperture Libraries, if you are getting this message, with so much free space available. Have your Aperture libraries been last used with an older Aperture version and need upgrading? How do you start Aperture? By clicking the Dock icon? Then try the following:
If your Aperture Libraries need upgrading to a newer Aperture version, repair them first: Select one of your Aperture Libraries on the external drive, hold down the key combination ⌥⌘ firmly, while you double click the library to launch into the First Aid Tools. Select "Repair Database". See, if Aperture now opens correctly.
If your Aperture Libraries does not need upgrading to a newer Aperture version, simply double click it to open in Aperture.
Does any of this make Aperture launch properly on one of your libraries?
If not, try, if you at least can launch Aperture to create a new, empty Aperture library, by holding down the ⌥-key, while you launch Aperture and select "Other/New".

Check COPA incoming order transfer config in "KEKF".which option you are using.
1     Active with date of entry
2     Active with Deliv.Date/Billing Plan Deadline (Using KWMENG)
3     Active with Deliv.Date/Billing Plan Deadline (Using KBMENG)
or
If option 1 selected,Sales order created with incomplete and 2 days later sales order incomplete log corrected.thats the reason booking created 2 days later..

Strange track times problem

ok this is a weird one. i have a song i imported from a CD. its in AAC format. ive listened to it many times on iTunes and my ipod. tonight i was listening on my ipod and it cut off before the end of the song. its not that it cut off and there was still time left in the song. somehow the song just wasnt all there. it had been ok the other times i listened to it. when i got home, i looked at the song on itunes. it had the same track time on itunes, the incorrect time. but when i clicked on it to play it, the time corrected to the proper time and then when i synced my ipod, it fixed the file. what the heck!?

We're talking the length in minutes. Strangely it's only occurred on the last batch of CDs my friend did for me ( well I'm 99% sure of that ) and he's only got a CD recorder not a PC recordable drive. This last batch was done on a new ( albeit s/h ) CD recorder. I've imported other CDs burned from PCs etc and all have been ok. I've even checked copies I've done using my CD recorder and the times have been correct when imported into iTunes.
As you suggest, I might try and use Roxio to make a CD of the 'faulty' run time tracks and see if what happens when I then import to iTunes from them.

It depends. What kind of Plan is it-Relationship with Company code? Does it have warehouse?
I can think of following task
1. Retire assets
2. Complete the GR, IR transactions
3. If finished products, other products are being moved to another plant-Inventory movements have to be carried out
4. Modify substitutions and validations if you have one
5. Check COPA posting rules
Also, you may have to coordinate with MM, PP team for data migration.

Incoming orders in COPA not working if Sales Order blocked for Credit Check

Hi all,
We need to build a report showing all incoming sales order by entry date and/or change date (change of values or quantities later on). COPA allows to do this, but the problem is that COPA line item table is only updated if the sales order is released from credit check (VKM3). I am looking for a solution to be able to record sales orders in COPA even if they are still blocked for credit check. By doing that we will be able to report all sales orders entered from COPA and provide basis for commissions calculation to the business.
I have investigated possible COPA enhancements like COPA0005 but it doesn't seem to be used at the time of sales order save.

As you said , the credit check in the service order is information message "Credit check (maximum percentage for ope
exceeded)" .
If you enter and come out this message then one more message will come , i.e., "The business transaction can not be carried out" detail message - System status CNOK is active (ORD XXXXXXX).
with the above message , system will not allow to do the Service order release.
In this particular case , we have done the VKM1 for the sales order to unblock the order from credit check . But again system is checking the credit check at service order (created w.r.t sales order) . we are not able to control this .
we also suggested the solution to the customer , saying removal of credit check for service orders . But customer requires credit check to happen at both the documents.

After downloading music and dragging into iTunes I end up with multiple copies of the album on my hard drive. I do have the "copy files into iTunes library" checked. When I try to erase one of the copies I end up with red ! in iTunes library.

Sony's own entertainment software on the Vaio plays merry **** with iTunes, worse there's no telling when it will kick in.
First head over to the Sony Vaio site and get the update for the software, that will stop it from messing with the iTunes database/library files when you connect your iPod.

Could you provide more details? Is this the copy of your catalog, or the original catalog? Are you sure you didn't accidentally open some other catalog? If you try the catalogs under File->Open Recent, do you find your photos?

Backups will work properly if you restore the catalog file and the photos to their ORIGINAL locations.

Print 2 copies of check for payment

I need to print 2 copies of check (one for supplier and one for accounting) on a laser printer but SAP don't permit me.

Bonjour Frédéric,
You can only print one copy of cheque (Checks for Payment) if you are indicating "2" copies in Document Printing. If you change the number of copies in the printer window (i.e. where you select the printer, etc), you will get 2 copies of the cheque. If you are printing off multiple cheques, you will probably need the alternate pages to be blank paper (don't think the Collate option will work since check is probably 1 page).
Another option - your Accounting dept may be okay with the Outgoing Payment report/template.
