Checkbox not shown and also the styles

Hi Gurus,
I am using BI publisher standalone 10.1.3.4 and am able to see the checkboxes being generated from the template. However, they're of diamond shape and I would like to change that to a "tick" shape when checked and "not ticked" when not.
How can I do that. I know that some fonts in wingding2 or wingding3 may do the trick.
Also, in terms of numbering and paragraphing. Some of the symbols are not shown in the output. It shows some weird characters like "Y" instead of the arrowhead. How can I fix that?

Both issues are related to the fact that the appropriate font is not available on the server. This is a requirement for PDF output, you should find that if you run your output to RTF and open it the check boxes and arrows are present. This is because the PDFs that BIP generates are completely self contained ie they do not reference any fonts on the client but rather have the glyphs embedded in the document.
For the check boxes you need to get the Wingdings font up to the server and then change a couple of settings to specify the characters you want for checked and unchecked - check this blog article for more help - http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2007/05/wherere_my_checkboxes.html
The paragraph arrows just need the font loaded to hte server. that is covered in the blog article but also in the main documentation too.

you have created messagecomponentlayout and messageStyled text but you have not added messagestyled text as indexed child in messageComponentlayout....
Try this:

To rule out a software issue, try to set it up as new device, without using the latest backup, explained in this article:

This is not usually related to AD issues, but it may be more of a DNS issue. I posted a request in your other thread to post an unedited ipconfig /all of the DC and of the client.

Depending on what you are trying to print you may have to print from within the app. For example, to print an email or web page you have to open what you want to print from print central pro. If your printer is not a supported printer there is another app from the same developer that allows you to print from your iPad to your printer via a wired pc. You may want to drop them an email. They have pretty good customer service and respond to emails very quickly.

You do not mention it, but I will assume you are running OS 10.9.1.
Go to: Apple menu / System Preferences / Users & Groups. Click the padlock and enter your password.
Click the + (plus sign) and set up a new account for your wife. You have to enter a bunch of info. And then create the correct Login Options. Automatic login does not require a password from the selected user.
When that is done, verify the account works by restarting the computer and login as your wife.
Make sure that any applications in your own Users folder that will be needed are moved to the Applications folder in your wife's Users folder.
Now go back to Users and Groups, click the padlock and authenticate, select your own account, and hit the - (minus sign). This step cannot be reversed, so you might want to wait a few days before doing it.
When your wife is logged in, the App Store will know.

It has NEVER been possible to purchase an unlocked iPhone 3G in the US. Your phone was hacked. Updating it has re-locked it to AT&T. AT&T will NOT unlock iPhones for any reason.
The phone is now useless to you. There is no legitimate way to fix this. Buy a new phone. Preferably in India.

I don't have the same version of OS X here but try System Preferences>Keyboard. Is there an option similar to "Use the F1, etc, keys as standard function keys"?
If so, and it has a checkmark, uncheck it & see if that does the trick.

It sounds like you are seeing some odd performance issues with Logic Pro X. I recommend these troubleshooting steps specifically from the following article to help troubleshoot what is happening:

Verify that your computer meets the system requirements for Logic Pro X

Test using the computer's built-in audio hardware
If you use external audio hardware, try setting Logic Pro X to use the built-in audio hardware on your computer. Choose Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio from the main menu and click the Devices tab. Choose the built in audio hardware from the Input Device and Output Device pop-up menus. If the issue is resolved using built-in audio, refer to the manufacturer of your audio interface.
Start Logic with a different project template
Sometimes project files can become damaged, causing unexpected behavior in Logic. If you use a template, damage to the template can cause unexpected results with any project subsequently created from it. To create a completely fresh project choose File > New from Template and select Empty Project in the template selector window. Test to see if the issue is resolved in the new project.
Sometimes, issues with the data in a project can be repaired. Open an affected project and open the Project Information window with the Project Information key command. Click Reorganize Memory to attempt to repair the project. When you reorganize memory, the current project is checked for any signs of damage, structural problems, and unused blocks. If any unused blocks are found, you will be able to remove these, and repair the project. Project memory is also reorganized automatically after saving or opening a project.
Delete the user preferences
You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not impact your media files. To reset your Logic Pro X user preference settings to their original state, do the following:
In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
Press the Go button.
Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro X, then you may also wish to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
If you have upgraded from an earlier version of Logic Pro, you should also remove~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro.
Restart the computer.

Reinstall Logic Pro X
Another approach you might consider is reinstalling Logic Pro X. To do this effectively, you need to remove the application, then reinstall Logic Pro X. You don't have to remove everything that was installed with Logic Pro X. Follow the steps below to completely reinstall a fresh copy of Logic Pro X.
In the Finder, choose Applications from the Go menu.
Locate the Logic Pro X application and drag it to the trash.
Open the Mac App Store
Click the Purchases button in the Mac App Store toolbar.
Sign in to the Mac App Store using the Apple ID you first used to purchase Logic Pro X.
Look for Logic Pro X in the list of purchased applications in the App Store. If you don't see Logic Pro X in the list, make sure it's not hidden. See Mac App Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases for more information.
Click Install to download and install Logic Pro X.

I have upgraded to Mountain Lion and have found that some of my software no longer works, notably Image Browser and also the Epson Scanner Perfection 3490 software. Is there a 'patch' or way to allow me to use these programmes especially the scanner.

Apple discontinued support for PowerPC apps with Lion, I think, so you're out of luck there. No patch coming, unfortunately. Best to upgrade whatever old applications you have or, since it seems like you're using some relatively old software, scout around for replacements that give you the functionality you need.
Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Print & Scan and select your scanner from the list--if it's not there you'll need to add it (start with the little plus icon). Once you have it in the list you can click on the Open Scanner button and a pretty barebones scanner driver will load for you. But Image Capture (as mentioned previously), found in your Applications folder, will probably do the job as adequately, or better, than your old scanner software.

I've updated, deleted and reinstalled iTunes and still not able to sync. The main menu that usually pops up when you connect your Ipod to the computer doesnt happen either....help please
