Hi,
Your EWA alert will give you all the system level statistics report with graphs and table. Really superb feature. Did you configure EWA?

Compare service level reports between differnce systems

hallo,
I´m wondering if there are a' useful way to compare a bulk of service level reports between other sap systems in one view without having it exported.
so let see you have service level report system A > and you want to compare with sap system B without to export the files and to compare it manually.

Yes, go to tcode SCOT ---> double click on SMTP (it should be green) under Supported address types -- click on internet set button.
There you can see the output formats. Choose the appropriate SAP documents and select your desired output format.

Create authorization check for a report

Hi,
I need to create an authorization check for a report. It means that I need to restrict the usage of the report to couple of users ( 'USER1' and 'USER2' ). How can I do that? I did read through a lot of threads regarding this piece got a bit confused and stuck while creating the authorization object.
Say the report name is ZHR_TIMEABC.
Can anyone explain how to create an authorization object and how are they tied to the object and call them in the abap code?

Thanks. Here is my understanding, S_C_FUNCT calls a system generated function module to make an authority check. So, if different users say USER1 and USER2 have different authroization levels, defined in their user profile, just adding this piece code will take care of authroization check for the program OR do I need to take care of something else?
If so, when do we need to create the authorization objects using SU20 and assign the group and follo this process? When do we use this approach ( lot of threads on authority check have mentioned this procedure)?
Your inputs will be helpful to understand this concept.

System Services Reporting is not opening from main SAP screen menu.

Hi Team,
I have upgraded kernel patch in all our three systems of DEV, QAS & PRD, from patch level 139 to 376 (Kernel 460_REL). After upgrade ll system are working fine.
Yet, System>Services>Reporting option is not opening from SAP Menu, even it is not giving any kind of error message too.
While the same screen is opening from X-code: SA38.
Kindly help !

Hi Bala,
If you go to transaction SE80 -> Repository Information System -> Other objects -> Transactions and you search for SOAMANAGER, you get into the screen where you can modify attributes for this transaction. Please check if there are strange values entered in there... Or maybe SAPGUI for HTML is not selected.

Service Level Reporting - Trend Analysis data missing in the report

Hi Experts,
I'm working with sap solution manager and Business Process Monitoring.
I can't get to know how to configure the system in order to get Service Level Reporting collecting data for "Trend analysis" related to business processes.
In fact, in my reports each trend analysis graph (last week/month six months) is empty, no matter which aggregation type (AVG, MAX or SUM) I use.
It seems like the BI within the Solution Manager doesn't collect the data, or doesn't provide them to SL reporting.
How can I check whether something is missing in my configuration?

Thanks for sharing the link. I have gone through the link.
However, when I edit the "Setup Service Level Reporting" by click the link under "Solution Monitoring->Service Level Reporting" under "Operations Setup", I could get the screen where in I found the below details:
1. Setup SL Reporting (On the left Pane)
2. Variants Administration (under the above head tree)
On the right pane, I could find:
1. Name
2. Type
3. Weeday of Processing
4. Active
5. Date of Next Report
I could successfully give the above details and saved it. However, I dont see any provision for seleting the system SIDs as mentioned in the help.sap.com site proposed by you.
May you help me in selecting the System SID for which I need to declare SLR?

CS-4 Vista 64 Bit Installation problems - "checking system profile...."

Hello All:
I know that this has been discussed in the past, but I was hoping that perhaps someone has determined a fix for the following problem.
Background: In the past, with Windows XP Professional, I never had problems with loading any Adobe products. But just last week I reluctantly upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium because it came with a new power system PC that I purchased (AMD quad-core 2.4 gHz Phenom CPU, 8 Gigs of RAM and 1 TB HD) and this is where my problems began:
Nature of problem: I loaded the latest versions of Lightroom and Adobe Elements just fine - absolutely no problems there. But when I tried to load my Photoshop CS-4 upgrade disk, it never gets past the "checking system profile" bar at the very beginning of the install process. I mean to say that you initially get the install window and when you click "install," a small window comes up which indicates "checking system profile." Then the progress indicator goes all the way to the right - around 90% to the right but then just hangs there - and I mean stays there...period. I tried this several times, eventually having to use control/ALT/Delete in each instance to get it to stop. I even let it stay there for over 6 hours - all to no avail. What I found interesting is that just about all of my older programs - even those dating back to 2001 - all installed without a problem at all.
2. Actions I took to try and correct this:
    a. Then, in my attempt to find fixes for this, I made sure to close out any background programs that were running (and Vista has a million of 'em), to include Firewall, Windows Defender, any other malware and anti-virus programs, not to mention a bunch of smaller programs that have items running in the background. Then I tried loading CS-4 again....but still no go, the "checking system profile" indicator just hangs at 90% complete. Note that at no time did the install process ever load any files at all - I checked everything to ensure this wasn't the case, otherwise I would have removed them.
    b. On my next try, I then I copied all of the files from the CD to a folder on my desktop and tried to run the program from there - still no go as the "checking system profile" window still hangs at 90% I even tried loading the program by right clicking on the exe file and installing "as administrator," but that didn't do the trick either.
    c. Then I rebooted into safe mode, trying both to load the programs first from the CD and then from the desktop folder - still no go, but in this case it told me right up front that the action was unable to be completed. I assumed this meant that in Windows Safe Mode, the installer was not available.
Help Needed: So folks, I know this has been discussed in the past, but I don't know of any fixes that are available. Can anybody help me through this process? You can also send me direct emails at: [email protected] - which means I'd get them right away.
This has been driving me up a wall because some other folks with Vista 64 Bit systems report that they had no problems with installation. Again - it never makes it to installation, but gets hung up at the "checking system profile" stage.

I believe you are falling victim to some known incombatibility of LR vs. PS CS4 installer. This should be covered in the knowledge base, so check there. A short way to happiness may be using the CS4 Clean Utility to remove the debris from the failed installs and unregister other Adobe installs, then install PS CS4, but since I don't use LR and never have tried this, I'm not sure if this specific case is covered.

Inconsistency in upper level report and drill down report

I have to reports:
1) Higher level report pulls data against customers and shows aggregated data for all promotions for that customer from a table A.
2) Lower level report pulls data from the same table A, but for all promotions against a customer after i drill down on a Customer.
However, the values of a measure when summed up for a customer in the higher and lower level reports, does not match sometimes. Sometimes its in sync, sometimes its not.
My Oracle BI servers are 2 in no. with clustered configuration. Can this be an issue related to caching of measure values? If not, please give me pointers in other directions i can look.

clustering is not a problem here....just check for some example...and do some unit testing to find the rootcause of mismatch..it might be including some some extra values..

Problem in sending System measurement report to sap (sdccn)

. when i click on SEND TO SAP tab it gives me message "Data has been already passed to SDCC for transport to SAP" .Please explain me what is the procedure after this .
As i have check the oss connection to sap its working fine
Even sdcc_oss connection is working fine.please help.

To create detailed level report which is preffered cube or ods

can any 1 plz justify for a new requirement ,detailed level reporting which is best and why.

Infocubes are preffered for Atomic and Summarized Reporting whereas DSOs are more detailed and granular.
But there are certain major drawbacks of Using DSOs for Reporting :
- Low performance as direct reporting will be extremly slow due to large amount of data stored in single table.
- Multi-Dimensional analysis not possible.
- Calculation overheads for KPIs
Choice of DSO/Cube depends on the requirements but Infocubes are more preffered for reportings.

Layout Service Level Report

Hi together,
does anyone know, how to change the Layout of the Office-Document the Service Level Reports generated by the Solutionmanager? I know how to change the Fooder and Header, but what do I have to do to change e.g. the SAP Logo to the Logo of my company? Is it possible to change the Word Master Document?
Does anyone know?

You can customize the SLR front page.
You can customize the header and footer, and since the SAP Logo is part of the report header, you should be able to replace it with your company logo. It's saying that Table doesn't exist, but I went through log, I didn't found any table name(Which table it's trying to search).

Hi,
It seems that your DB is not upto date with the deployed code. It has some missing table as evident from the error. If you can try some DB comparison tool and compare the DB with other environments on which BCC deployments are running fine.
1. Do a full deployment
2. If it fails with same error it means DB isnt in sync.
3. Copy that from other environment or do by a DB checker tool/ comparison tool.
4. Resume deployments.

System level location of deployment.config

According to http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/deployment/deployment-guide/properties.html, the system level deployment.config can be found in one of two locations on windows:
(1) <Windows Directory>\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.config
(2) ${deployment.java.home}\lib\deployment.config
The documentation is a bit sketchy as to what determines which location it checks. From my testing, it seems that if you have a JDK installed, it looks for it in (1). If you only have a JRE installed, it looks for it in (2). Can someone confirm this? Secondly, why does WebStart via a JDK install look in one location while WebStart via a JRE look in another? Why can't it simply search in one location?

JRE/JDK makes no difference. Java Web Start is in the JRE, so you actually need a JRE to run javaws.
Webstart will always look first in (1) , and if no deployment.config is found, it will look in the lib directory of the jre that javaws is in. (2)
However, updating a JRE will (until after 6u4) put the new JRE in a new directory, so you would loose any customization done to the old JRE (such as putting a deployment.config in in) so (1) is preferred, unless you want the config to only apply to a specific update version.

Does anyone know what the data shown here is? It doesn't change when Rosetta is turned off and then back on. It also doesn't change between user accounts (e.g. joe's com.apple.LaunchServices.plist has the same value as jane's).
Will it be possible to run defaults in a way that makes this change work for all users of the computer?

I am asking about the option to run in non-interactive modeIt cannot be done. Check "Oracle® Applications Maintenance Utilities Release 11i (11.5.10.2)" manual for more details.
