Chess- What happened?

Question

I can't show the picture I captured.
But my pawn is at a7 and Tiger's king is at a8. Tiger has only his king, and I have a knight at b5, bishop at h7, a castle at f1, another castle at h1, and my king at d1.
What I am confused is the game is over as "Draw!"
Why? Do I misunderstand the rule of Chess? Someone can please explain?
And sometimes I can't move my pieces even though I try to move them as rule goes.

There are a couple of possibilities for a draw:
1) if fifty moves have passed with no pawn moves or captures, a draw can be claimed (probably not likely)
2) if an identical position has occurred three times (or will on the next move), the moving player can claim a draw (this would be my guess)
You would need to describe the other moves you haven't been able to make, but a review of some of the more obscure rules of the game may be in order.
