Cisco ISE 1.2 keyboard number pad not working in CLI

I cant get a keyboard number pad to work in ISE 1.2 when accesing via the SSH CLI.  NumLock makes no difference and changing settings in my Putty session doesnt make any difference either.
Anyone got any ideas?

Have you tried to ssh into the router and then ssh into the ISE node? Are you running this on a vm or is this an appliance, by any chance is this the UCS appliance, try accessing the console port through CIMC if possible.
Thanks,

  • Wireless keyboard number pad not working

I purchased a wireless keyboard about 4 months ago and realized about a month ago the 9 digit number pad on the right stopped working. Every other button still works just not 1-9. Is there a number lock button that I may have pushed???

What brand and model of numeric keypad are you attempting to use?

  • Keyboard number pad not working....

I have installed Leopard, and now my number pad won't work. I have looked under System Preferences, and found nothing wrong there. I have the aluminum keyboard that is wired. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks...

I am having the same problem on my 24" imac (late 2006).
My keyboard is a wireless mac keyoard.
All the number keys (0-9), as well as the decimal key do not work. When trying to use these keys in TextEdit or TextWrangler, they actually cause the keyboard to appear to lock up (command-option-esc clears, with no need to actually force-quit anything). The F-keys also appear to continue working.

  • Keyboard number pad not functioning!

i dont know what exactly i did, i might have pressed a keyboard shortcut i dont know. im reletively new to macs. my number pad doesnt work at all. it's an apple keyboard. its the side of the far right with all the numbers on it. its the new apple g5 keyboard, i got my imac this year so the keyboard is up to date.
its just the standard, not wirless at all. is there a system prefrence that i can change it back?!!!!????!!!???
    responses will be greatly appriciated.

I had a similar problem where my numerical keypad on my Pro Keyboard seemed to stop working. In fact, when I used the numerical keys over there it would 'lock-up' whatever I was doing and I had to call up the Force Quit panel to shake my application free of the lock. (I didn't actually Force Quit the app, just CTRL-OPTION-COMMAND'ed to call the FQ menu up and then closed the menu. This saved me from shutting the app down completely while "releasing" the numerical keypad.)
Thanks to AXL for the tip on Universal Access. Hope my submission here helps anyone else who wonders why their keypad suddenly seems possessed!

You need to turn off Mouse Keys in System Preferences - Universal Access - Mouse & Trackpad.  Also uncheck "press option key five times to turn mouse keys on".

  • HP DV9291ea Number pad not working after been in for repair

I have a HP DV 9291ea laptop. It is a 17 inch model with a numeric keypad on it. The problem is, when the numlock key is turned on the keyboard number pad get's enables. I recently had the mother board changed by HP/Tarsus. I suspect that they didnt load the correct keyboard profile. They (Tarsus) said that should bring the laptop in and they will fix it (for free). I will do that if no one can help me here, Is there an easy and permanent fix for this problem?
I can temnporarly get around it by doing the following:
making sure the numlock is off.
opening the on screen keyboard (start>programs>accessories>ease of access>on screen keyboard)
a keyboard layout will opens on the screen
I hold down the FN button down on the real keyboard and clicking the nlk button on the onscreen keyboard by using my mouse.
the problem is is i press the numlock key again I will have to go through the whole process again.
Anyone have any idea what could cause this or how to fix it permanently?
If you might have a suggestion, please post it to me....

This thread's been dead for a few years, but since I had to really search to find the answer to this issue, I thought i'd share what worked for me.
In Win7, go to Start->Accessories->Ease of Access->Ease of Access Center, click "Make the mouse easier to use" and uncheck "Turn on mouse keys".
This fixed my problem on a HP G72 with integrated numeric pad.

Kinda hard to do that if the keyboard and trackpad isn't working - don't you agree?
In any event - what were you doing last before your keyboard and trackpad stopped functioning?
Did you do any upgrades to your Macbook?
Have you tried doing a PRAM/NVRAM or SMC reset?

    Hi,
does the numpad work in other Windows programs, or is it just the MS Office programs ?
Have you tried the 'clear'-key (the one above the '7'-key on the numpad) to enable the numpad ?

  • Keyboard number pad not recognized through bootcamp windows 7

Running windows 7 through bootcamp, the number pad on my keyboard does not respond.

I had the same thing as you (that my BT mouse & keyboard were working but then after a while they started to act up -mouse freezing on&off, keys sticking-).
In my case the 'before' and 'after' was actually running the setup on the Bootcamp Utility disk that contains all the Bootcamp drivers. There must be a rogue driver on there that messed up my system. I ended up doing a reinstall and only installing the bluetooth drivers (that are also on the same Utlity disk, but in the $WinPEDriver$ folder. This at least worked for me.
However, by doing so I did not get the handy Bootcamp utility in the lower left corner of Windows that allows me to conveniently reboot and switch from Win8 to MacOS. I am trying to figure out if I can install that utility separately without all the drivers being automatically installed as well

    Hello Joaquinfromhi,
You may need to press the 'Num Lock' button or key on your keyboard, or you may have enabled 'Mouse Keys.'

  • W700 Number pad Not working

    W700 Windows 7 Pro x64
The full 10 key pad is working.  It does not work if you try to use it to login but right when windows starts, it will work for about 3-4 keystrokes and then stop working.  When it stops working, nothing.  No arrow movement or numbers.

W701 - Win 7 / 64.    My number pad is also not working  (mostly).  This has been the case since purchase, about one year ago (04-2011).  It works as soon as Win 7 starts, but after a short time it no longer functions.  However the Fn + NmLk keys do produce the short-cut to the calculator.  I thought it had to do with sleep mode or hibernation, and if I waited, a new driver would be available, but this is yet to be the case.  Perhaps it is a loose cable connection under the keyboard (?) -  it remains a mystery.  If I discover a solution I will post back here.

  • Qosmio x500/02G Number Pad Not Working

    Hello,
I have a x500 that i recently purchased and installed Windows 7 Professional on it. Now i cannot use the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard.
I've tried using various combinations of NUMLOCK and SCROLLLOCK to no avail. Surely there a seperate number pad doesn't require drivers?!

The problem was a faulty keyboard. there was a bank of keys on the numeric pad that were non-functional.
A bit dissapointing given i'd had the laptop for less than 24 hours. Took it back to the store for a replacement.

  • Airport and keyboard number keys not working

    Hello community
I bought my MacBook Pro 15/2.4/2X1GB/250/SD in 2008 and it is finally showing some signs of shutting down. For now, my airport card doesnt seem to be working, nor are my number keys 0-9. Can anyone suggest me what part should I buy (airport card model), where I should buy it from and how to fix it without going to the local store which is charging me around £500 for the repair?
    Thanks in advance.

You can try the US store - http://www.ifixit.com/ - which should have AirPort cards for your MacBook Pro - http://www.ifixit.com/Device/MacBook_Pro_15%22.

  • Can't get my number pad to work - No Num Lock

    Hello,
I recently got my iMac with the wireless keyboard and noticed that I can not get my number pad to work. There is no num lock button to turn on/off, just the clear button. Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks
    Jay

This is from the built-in Mac Help.
    Hope it works for you.
    My numeric keypad doesn't work
The way the numeric keypad works depends on your computer, the keyboard you're using, the application you're working in, and whether the Num Lock key is engaged. Usually, the numeric keypad is used to enter numbers in a document, but in some applications you might be able to use the keypad to navigate (move around in) your document.
Press the Num Lock key to switch between the ways the numeric keypad functions.
If you have a separate numeric keypad on your keyboard, the Num Lock key is located in the numeric keypad. If you're using a portable computer, the Num Lock is a function key, marked Num Lock (F6). If your keyboard has a separate keypad but no Num Lock key, try pressing Shift-Clear.
Most portables have a group of keys on the keyboard that can function as the numeric keypad. To find the keypad, look for small numbers or symbols in the lower-right corner of keys on the right side of your keyboard. Press the Num Lock key (F6) to turn on the keypad. The green light glows on the Num Lock key when the keypad is active.

  • Key board and track pad not working

Ok, My situation is similar to some of the other things posted but not quite.
I tried to wake my computer up from sleep the other day and it wouldn't "wake up" so I did a hard shut down and restart. When it restarted the key board and track pad did not work. The caps lock light wouldn't come on or anything. I tried connecting a usb apple keyboard and mouse and those didn't work either.
When switching to windows in bootcamp, everything works. So... I guess that means it's a software thing.
I called Apple support and we did all the possible key combinations and restarts possible and it came down to this: I need to archive install tiger again, then install all of the updates, then install leopard back on (I don't have leopard disk because it was a family pack and im at college). My roomate's macbook (White, bought in aug 2008) install disks which are 10.5.2 do not work with my computer.
My question is: Is this really the correct solution to my problem? Will archiving and installing tiger then leopard affect my files? I haven't backed up using time machine in a month, so is there a way to backup through osx with my keyboard and trackpad not working or can I do a good back up through my windows partition in bootcamp? Any more tips? Thanks, this has never happened before and I guess I'm a little clueless.

Do you have access to another Mac? If so, possibly you could use Firewire Target Disk Mode to access your drive and do a current Time Machine backup:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1661
Since you have a family pack of Leopard at home, possibly you could have someone burn a safety copy of it and send it to you so that you can reinstall Leopard. Once you have the OS installed and brought up to date, you could even restore from Time Machine if you had to.
Since we don't know all the steps you took, it's hard for any of us to say if this is the right solution. Evidently the Apple tech came to the conclusion that your software had become corrupted, and this could well be the case, since everything works on the Windows partition. Hence the suggestion to reinstall the OS.
I think you need to get a copy of the Leopard disc so that you can bring your OS completely up to date. I'm not sure of the logistics of doing an Archive and Install with both Tiger and Leopard, especially if much of your work has been done on Leopard. I'm not even sure if it's necessary to reinstall Tiger--it might be better to just reinstall Leopard using Archive and Install.
It's always a good idea to have a good up to date backup like Time Machine before attempting an Archive and Install, because things can go wrong. If they do, you may end up having to do an erase and install. If that happens, you can restore from your Time Machine backup.
I think what you should do is to get a copy of your Leopard disc, and then boot from it and try to do the Archive and Install. Navigate to Disk Utility first and verify both permissions and the disk and repair if necessary. Then proceed with the Archive and Install. Once you're done, run all the updates. Then go to Disk Utility and repair permissions.
    Good luck!
