Cisco RV320 - Timeout problem
Hi all,
I have purchased the product in the subject as I needed 2 WAN for the load balancing of 2 ADSL (at the moment only one active), before I used a NETGEAR with DD-WRT firmware.
Having gone through the wizard router set-up, I noticed random timeout issues popping up where even the router adminweb doesn't load (set on 192.168.2.1 without the various VPN as they wouldn't have allowed the set up of such IP.) With the NetGear I have never experienced such problems..
Do you have an idea of what it might be? Because it's practically useless in its current state.

How can I configure a CISCO RV320 to make of use of 5 IPs assigned from my ISP. I want to be able to use Network Port Address Translation to host services and translate these to my private IP Address space. For example, public IP addresss to private IP Address on port 443.
Hola,

Problem Description= NSAPI - WL
OP = Solaris 2.6
Hi,
In my product, I have an operation where I upload files to my website.
When I am uploading smaller size files I am not facing any problem. But when
I upload large size files (eg 10 MB) it is happening multiple times. I did
not face this problem on Windows NT. Only on Solaris I am experiencing this.
So we wrote a simple servlet to find out what is exactly happening. I am
getting timeout. I connect to WebLogic Server through Netscape Web Server
which is running on another Solaris. I tried to increase the connection
timeout in Netscape Server. It did not provide any results to me. When I
checked the logs on NSAPI, it is connecting to WL properly, the problem is
from WebLogic. Apart from the Session Timeout in Deployment Descriptor is
there any where that weblogic has a timeout settings. I want to know about
this in detail. It is very very urgent.
Here is the way my bean works, it reads the file from disk and copy it
to temporary location and then do the upload. When it started reading, it is
fine and then when it is uploading, it is getting timeout so, it started
reading the file again, it is happening till it gets out of space error.
Please let me know what is the solution, as immediately as possible. I
would really really appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance
[blank.gif]What service pack you are using? If you are using 451 SP8 or recent then it has
a new
plugin parameter called - "HungServerRecoverSecs". Here are the details:
HungServerRecoverSecs 10:300:600 for (min:default:max)
You should set this to a very large value. If it is less than the time the
servlets take
to process, then you will see unexpected results. This implementation takes care
of the
hung or unresponsive servers in the cluster. So the plugin waits for
HungServerRecoverSecs for the the server to respond and then declares that
server dead
and fails over to the next server.
Maybe this is what you are seeing. If the value is too low it will failover and
the POST will
happen multiple times.
Let us know if this problem persists.

Cisco RV320 DUAL WAN router USB setup with Telstra 4G MF823
I am trying to setup Cisco RV320 DUAL WAN router to work with my prepaid Telstra 4G MF823 device. Could you please assist. My settings are as follows: InterfaceUSB2Connection Type:3G/4G PIN Code:Confirm PIN Code:USB Connection Status:3G/4G modem is not available.Access Point Name:telstra.internetDial Number:Username:Password:Enable DNSDNS Server (Required): 8.8.8.8DNS Server (Optional): 8.8.4.4MTU:AutoManualB
Hi oz000,
Unfortunately we don't have anyone here to assist with this particular issue. Our team here provides assistance for the device standalone, we ensure that the 4G device connects to the network and functions correctly on its own.

OW4J Notification Timeout problem
Hi!
I made an implementation of ow4j for a timesheet management application. I implemented a custom notification activity which use Apache Velocity for message generation. I re implement the notification process to use the POP3 for reply. Everything works fine for me but with a important exception: The timeout property for the notification which seems to me there is no implementation in engine. The example for OW4J work with the same exception - no timeout.
Is my first workflow experience and I'm disappointed. Dou you have any solution for timeout problem? I tried with the WAIT activity which not works because is implemented only in PLSQL
BR,
Bogdan CraciunHi !
I made all the setup stuff but the problem is with the workflow engine. I decompiled the engine and the part with timeout in the workflow definition ( . wft file)loader is skiped. In the JavaEngine the Timeout transition is not treated. There is no background process which monitor the ProcessActivities which are blocked and waiting for replay.
The method getTimeoutValue is never called in the engine. I think there is no implementation fot timeout functionality at this time. The same problem is with Wait Function. In the Java Standard functions from the ow4j demo the call is made to a PLSQL block not to a Java object method.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

IView Timeout problems...
Hello,
We're having an iView timeout problem on one of our EP (7) app servers.
(For some reason it only happens on one of them - the others, which use the same iView, don't have this problem):
The message is:
The iView has timed out. There is no cached content to display. Click 'Reload' to retrieve updated content. You may need to wait for the cache to retrieve the content from the source. Reload
Of course the Reload doens't work, but is fixed in SPS14 apparently - we're running SPS13 at the moment.
There are actually 2 iViews that reside on a page, and I've tried adjusting the page timeout to -1, with no results. Only thing we've been able to do so far is restart that one app server, and it seems to remedy the problem...temporarily.
Anyone else have any ideas as to what might be causing this iView to timeout on only one app server and not other others? I'm a bit stumped here as to what to do.
Thanks!
Edited by: Beau Bourgeois on Mar 17, 2008 11:21 PMHi,
Please check on the parameters for (right click IView properties --Show All)
1. iViewCaching ..
2.The Timeout.
Please do set them asper requirement.
This will work and you will be able to control the iViewtime outs.
Also lookout for your Page Timeout Property.

Hello Everybody,
I am currently developing a Java Webservice for Netweaver 7.11. The web service should trigger the execution of a jar file which is locally available at the server on which the web service is deployed.
The process which is locally executed needs about 60s to be finished.
But when trying to start this process via a web service I get the following message:
Invalid transport binding settings.Read timed out
But this message still appears if I set the timeout settings to a value of 900s, which is definately long enough.
I would be really thankful if somebody has an idea, where the problem is located and how to solve it.
Kind Regards,
Carl HeckmannHi Gouray,
Thanks for your reply. I assume, that I configured it correctly, since I exposed 2 web services with this EJB, and the other one is running just fine.
The code of the EJB can be found below. The Service startDataCollectionProcess does not work, due to the timeout problem. The other service, isSystemOnlineCheck works without any problems.:
package com.sap.nwdemo.sidct.services;
@WebService(name = "SIDCTServicesBean", portName = "SIDCTServicesBeanPort", serviceName = "SIDCTServicesBeanService", targetNamespace = "http://sap.com/nwdemo/sidct/services/")
@Stateless
public class SIDCTServicesBean {
* Starts the data collection process COuld be also started using the
* console
@WebMethod
public Long startDataCollectionProcess() {
SIDCT sidct = new SIDCT();
Long duration = sidct.gatherData();
return duration;
@WebMethod
@WebResult(name = "isOnline")
public boolean isSystemOnlineCheck(@WebParam(name = "SID")
String sid, @WebParam(name = "InstanceNumber")
String systemNumber, @WebParam(name = "NetworkID")
int nwguid) {
I hope this is enough information for you to tell me if the service is configured properly or not.
Kind Regards,
Carl -
Hi,
I try to connect my laptop to RV320 by VPN SSL connection.
Every 8-15 minuets i get session expired, even when I am working. I tried to increase "Login Time" field to 9999 but without success
The problem also occurs on other computers.
Any ideas?
Thanks.Thus you are modifying correct value. According related Cisco KB article the "Session Idle Time" value means "enter the time, in minutes, before the existing session terminates after the connection becomes idle".
> i get session expired, even when I am working
Isn't your public IP address changed during your work? Changed client IP address (from VPN Router point of view) is considered as good reason for breaking VPN connection.
Have you tried to use different browser and try to reproduce with same results? -
DNS Lookup Timeout Problems with Cisco SA520w
Hello,
We are trying to configure our new Cisco SA520w with our Internet connection.
As soon as we replace our existing Linksys RV042 with the Cisco SA520w, we find that DNS lookups start to take longer and longer to resovle. For example, an nslookup against yahoo.com will timeout, or take 10-12 seconds. Web browser requests simillarly take 30-45 seconds to resolve.
We've tried using both Google's and OpenDNS servers, as well as our ISP's nameservers. In all cases, the long DNS resolution takes place.
At first we thought that the firewall was misconfigured. However, we removed all firwall rules, and continued to experience the problem.
We've tried checking and unchecking the DNSProxy checkbox, but this doesn't seem to have any noticeable impact.
Does anyone have any idea about which setting impact DNS looksups, or what else we might try to troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks,
ChrisRegarding the question on 5-10 days for product support to become active, I followed up with the CA team and received the following, which is good for All partners to know...
Below is a description of the primary cause of delays in contract registration.
Contract registration takes 24-48hrs. Delays are generally caused by the Reseller/Partner who doesn't provide the product serial numbers to Cisco when they purchase the service. The contract cannot be registered until the Reseller or the Disti provides the serial numbers to Cisco via SMS3 (or B2B). In cases where Disti doesn't have a mechanism to collect the serial number before the product is shipped, or in cases of drop-ship, the Distis often have to track down their Resellers to get the serial numbers to Cisco.
There is a new program being discussed (drawing board now, so not available today) which will to allow the end-user to register the contract themselves, thus eliminating the need for the Disti or the Reseller to collect the serial number an input it into SMS3.
But in any case (now or later), when a customer calls in for support, if their contract has not yet been registered, the SBSC can work with the Global Entitlement Team to look-up the contract via the PO or SO number and complete the registration so service can be provided.
Hope this helps...

UCCX Callback implementation timeout problem
I am working on an implementation of the "Callback" function for queued callers based on the Cisco sample scripts
BaseLineAdvQueuing and BaseLineMesageCallback. The function works correctly. If my agents are all in Not Ready state and callers select to leave a callback number and message then their "callback" calls are queued successfully. When an agent is made "Ready" the callback calls are delivered in the correct order and the callbacks are processed successfully. My problem is that the "Callback" calls time out and disappear from the queue after about 30 minuted. If an agent becomes ready after 40 minutes there are no calls delivered to them. I have tracked this via the Real Time Reports which show active sessions for the queued Callback calls. These disappear from the Real Time Report after 30 mins. Is there a way to extend this timeout?.
Regards,
DavidHave you checked your MIVR logs for the WFMaxExecutedStepsExceededException error?
The logic in the Advanced Queuing script is such that it loops the Get Digit String step once ever 6 seconds. Even if I didn't consider all the steps that your callers go through before getting there, this small section will execute 1,000 steps in 50 minutes. Subtract off your steps above and this could easily be 20 or 30 minutes.
The Callback script is less likely the culprit as it executes 3 steps every 30 seconds, which is 166 minutes or 2.7 hours.
My guess is that both of you are hitting the max steps on your main script. Check your MIVR logs to know for sure. Post your script and I'll review it.
Also, what is your UCCX System Parameter for Max Steps set to?

Any suggestions for what can be the problem?hello,
Still is not working. Ip routing is activated by default and ip classless too in 12.4 ios version.
I have deleted the dialer interface and reconfig it. Then tried first with the ppp ipcp route default, but still not receiving the default route.
I have been putting back the static route with dialer 1 exit interface.

All the same, I recieve Ip address.
