Cisco Social Miner 9.0 with CCX multisession chat

Hi There
We are currently testing Social Miner with a customer customer and would like to know the following below
When the Agent start a chat session with a customer the "login-user-id" is shown to the custome.r Can we rather get the “Display name displayed in the web chat instead of the “login user-id” (as it is now).?
Can we  "promote” if the chat its open or not ,"sort of a trigger point"  that should be as if the agent is logged into social miner, then pushing information to the chat web site that it is open and should be seen by end-user that the chat is available before they submit their issue ?
Before UCCX 10.5 We want to use a Single CAD client using multi chat windows in the integrated webrowsers. Of course we will use several Chat Agent-id's one per chat session. We know that in UCCX 10.5 there will be support for “multisession chat" but until then we want to use several webbrowsers in the CAD for chat
Question: is this possible?
rgds Mikael

Hi Mikael,
For Multisession you will need SocialMiner 10.5 with CCX 10.5. SocialMiner 9 will not work for multisession.
Please find the answers to your questions below -
1) We are working to deliver the feature to set aliases for agent which if set will land up in the customer page instead of the login id.
2) We don't have the auto trigger, what we have is a auto answer which suggests that no agent is available currently. This is notified as soon as customer sends the issue request.
3) We don't support this. However you can play with browser profiles and can launch multiple browser instances in different profiles and have multiple logins on stand alone browsers. This is not tested and I am not sure if the feature will work end to end.
Thanks and Regards,
Praveen

  • Cisco social miner

    Hi team
My client would like to implement social miner CCX 9.x but their concerns are that the server sits on the internet facing zone DMZ and the data base that house the transcript for web chat resides in the DMZ instead of the secured zone.
Any suggestions out there from any experts will be appreciated.

CUIC is within UCCX and is supported in BE6K no issues there. Social Miner is a separate VM and isnt' one of the supported apps from all the documentation I have seen. Social Miner is used for web chat but isn't really solely dedicated for CCX, It can also be used as a standalone app.

  • UCCX Chat with Social Miner

    Hello,
I have been testing UCCX 9.0 Chat functionality integrated with Social Miner, and found the following things:
There is a way to configure UCCX in such a way that, Chat sessions will not be presented to Agent, if that Agent is already on a Voice Call. This is ok.
But when testing inverse, I have found that, when Agent is having an active Chat session, the Voice call is still  presented to operator  if he/she were in Ready state.  So Agent should manually set the Voice state to Not Ready each time, so that when chatting the new voice calls will not get to him.
Well, is there a way to tell UCCX not to send new Voice calls to Busy with Chat Agents automatically, so that Agent will not have to change the state manually each time as the new Chat session is presented?

    Hi,
In UCCX, Voice calls always takes the priority over the email\chat. Inoreder to not get the Voice Calls Agents have to manually Push themselevs to Not-Ready state.
    Thanks,
    Anand

  • BU Stance on CUIC and Social Miner (CCX Web Chat) on BE6000

Could the BU give the field some clarification on support of both CUIC and Social Miner (for Web Chat) co-resident on the BE6000 platform?  Both applications require VMs and are a part of the CCX 9.0 release.  These applications are not mentioned in the "gang of eight," however one could argue they do fall under CCX.

CUIC is within UCCX and is supported in BE6K no issues there. Social Miner is a separate VM and isnt' one of the supported apps from all the documentation I have seen. Social Miner is used for web chat but isn't really solely dedicated for CCX, It can also be used as a standalone app.

  • Ordering Social Miner

Ok, following the CCX Ordering Guide, Social Miner needs to be ordered with the following part number:
    CCEH-CCP-SVR-LIC
However this part is showing Invalid when we attempt to order it.  Is there a top-level part # that this needs to be ordered under?
    Thank you.

Yes, you need to order IPCE-SVR-ADDON as the top-level part.  We have pricing details including screenshot in the partner community:

  • UCCX 10.5 and Social Miner?

    Hi
I know that the web chat features of 10.5 run on the social miner platform that ships with CCX once the server license has been acquired. Does this license let you leverage the other features of social miner like Facebook/Twitter/RSS Campaigns? Or is it just limited to web chat?
    Thanks

Did you ever find out more info on this, or are you still stuck on it?

  • Wireless VoIP roaming - getting an 802.11g phone to roam with CCX / CCKM

    Hello,
Our group is facing a pretty difficult issue at the moment, we are trying to deploy a wireless Avaya VoIP phone at one of our sites in Australia.
The site in question is located in Western Australia, which is on the other side of the continent to where our 5508 WLC is (in Sydney), so there is a latency of abouy 60-80ms between the sites. When testing the phone at the Sydney location, we're able to authenticate the phone via a number of methods (802.11x, 802.11x FT) and the phone can roam fine. When testing at the WA location, the 802.11x authentication method drops the call when roaming, and the 802.11x FT authentication method has about 2 seconds of dead air during roaming / reassociation.
The avaya phone supports a few different methods of "fast handoff" - CCKM and OKC - and we've only got the OKC (802.11 version of fast transition) method to work, not CCKM. The phone reports error messages when trying to connect to the network with CCKM enabled - specifically "No CCKM AP's" and "No CCX AP's".
    So I have some questions...
    1) Is a 60ms latency between sites a dealbreaker for wireless voice usually?
    2) The voice engineer is convinced that CCX is disabled on the WLAN. My understanding of CCX (according to online Cisco docco) is that it can't be switched off. Is this the case? I know CCKM can be disabled (in the Layer 2 Authentication options) but can CCX or CCKM be enabled / disabled anywhere else?
    3) The voice engineer has a point on one front - if we do a command "show ap ccx rm [APName] status", the command outputs "Beacon Request ..... Disabled." This seems to be related to CCX Location awareness - but even after switching this on in the WLC (both globally and for the WLAN), I cannot get this to enable.
    3) We have had some minimal success getting the phone to connect with only CCKM Authentication enabled. The phone could not roam. When we did this, I looked at the Client information in the WLC of this device and the CCX Version read "Not Supported." Does this perhaps mean some kind of CCX compatibility problem?
    4) Is there much of a difference between OKC (Fast Transition) and CCKM in terms of roaming time? I.e. are we better off trying to install a WLC at the location rather than getting this work remotely.
We're a bit lost on this. Anyone that's had experience in getting Wireless VoIP phones to roam on a wireless campus before, particularly where the WLC is remote, I'd love to hear from you.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Hi, thanks Steve. Aironet IE is enabled.
The encryption is news to me. We intially tried WPA2/AES & WPA/TKIP together but had no success at all. We then moved to WPA/TKIP, and we were able to get the phone to connect to the WLAN using the CCKM settings, but it doesn't roam at all & the WLC reported the Clients CCX version was "Not Supported".
I think the phone has CCX version 4. Are you certain that the phone will only support WPA & WPA2 with CCX v5? Just that this sounds a little strange, the phone's documentation claims to support CCKM, but if you're right then there's no way we can secure our phone conversations? In previous testing, we did actually temporarily drop all authentication / encryption and the roaming worked perfectly.
    Thanks for your help...

  • Social Miner Chat support

    Hi
On release notes it is said that Social Miner-UCCX chat  (officially) only supports IE 10-11 and Firefox Enhanced Support Release 31.
These days, other browsers  like Chrome, have  a big chunk of  the market  and since Social Miner uses JQuery we would like to know why is this limitation is in place.
    Thanks

  • Social Miner 9.0 Facebook Reply error

    Hi,
We have completed the Social Miner installation as well as have configured the Facbook Fanpage and twitter feeds. We have installed the latest COP file for version 9.0.1 as well.
The problem we are facing is that we are able to see only the feeds from Facebook but we are not able to reply. We get the error in Firefox as there was an error posting the comment on facebook.Unknown Third party error.
I have attached the error. Please advise if thisis an authentication issue or if its better to open a case with TAC?

    It is a defect CSCuo95524
The reason: – FB changed their permissions so:
    Symptom:
User tries to reply to a Facebook post, or like or unlike a post, and gets the following error: "There was an error posting the comment to Facebook Unknown Third Party Error"
    Conditions:
SocialMiner Facebook feed authenticated to Facebook page using Facebook Admin user.
    Workaround:
Facebook has changed their permissions.  To work around the problem, create a new Facebook user who has permission to post to the page, but is not an admin user.  Reauthenticate the SocialMiner Facebook feed with this new user.

You really need a newer Mac Mini with a true HDMI output, because that Mac Mini's DVI output does not support Audio.
You might try a 3.5mm to RCA adapter
from the Mac Mini's headphone jack to the TV's audio input,
but that would require being able to select the Audio input in the TVs menu while using it's HDMI input.
Optionally you could also use an external 2.1 Speaker System or patch the audio from the Mac Mini to your home stereo system to enhance that older Mac Mini's audio.

  • How to configure Cisco ASA 5500 to work with the iPhone

We have Cisco ASA 5510 (latest firmware version), and apparently, according to Cisco website it is compatible with new iPhone 3G's IPSec client:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/vpnclient/cisco_vpnclient/iPhone/2.0/connectivity/guide/iphone.html
We've setup our first iPhone properly. It connects fine to the network, shows VPN connection as active. Gets a private IP address. But does not let any traffic go to the internal network. We thought it might be DNS problem, but it cannot connect to Exchange server even when using IP address instead of DNS. No luck either.
After checking ASA logs, we found that iPhone goes through Phase 1 authentication correctly. But then gives some kind of error, mentioning "Attribute 5".
Has anybody been successful configuring ASA5500 series (in particular 5510) to be used with iPhone?
I noticed that many people are having these problems.
Please do not post to this topic if you have ANY OTHER Cisco device.
Cisco specifies that iPhone is compatible only with Cisco ASA 5500 Security Appliances and PIX Firewalls. Neither Cisco IOS VPN routers nor the VPN 3000 Series Concentrators support the iPhone VPN capabilities.
Let's keep this topic only for users of ASA 5500 series and PIX Firewalls.
It would be extremely helpful for a large number of users if somebody posted a list of settings for ASA5500 or PIX firewall that DO work with iPhone 2.0
    Thank you!

For iPhone you have to be using IPSec tab for configuration.
We tried to set up this config using the wizards, but it would not work.
Later it turned out that wizards by default set this setting:
    "crypto isakmp nat-traversal 20"
equal to zero and there is no way to change it from the GUI.
Only after we changed it (increased the value from 0 to 20) through the command line the connection started working perfectly.
Please let me know how it works out for you.
