Classic Scenario : Purchase Order failing to get created
Hi,
We are using SRM 5.0 classic scenario. We are only using SRM for classic scenario only. while trying to create the backend purchase order i get the following error " Interval of number range object REQREQ does not exist: SC no. PO "
I have defined the number ranges for PO
Define Number Ranges for Shopping Carts and Follow-on Document

I copied NB transaction type into ECPO

Hi
As Jagadish said,
1. In SPRO what is the number range you defined for PO in "Define Num range per Backend System for Follow-on doc".
bp - 10000 19999
lp - 20000 29999
for eg bp -is backend purchase order no ranage
lp - is local purchase order no ranage
2. Then make sure above number range is maintained in "Define Num range per Shopping Cart and Follow-on doc" and it should be Internal num range.
bacclnt100(backend logical syatem) bp pr rs
bp -backend po no range
pr - purchase requst
rs -reservation
3. this for r/3 classic po i.e bp
Description Purchase Order
Int. Number Range : BP
Ext. Number Range
Status Profile
BTrans.Category BUS2201
Description Purchase Order
Partner Determ.Proc.
Text Schema PO
Event Schema
4. define number range for local purchase orders
Description Purchase Order
Int. Number Range LP
Ext. Number Range 03
Status Profile
BTrans.Category BUS2201
Description Purchase Order
Partner Determ.Proc.
Text Schema PO
Event Schema
adding to Jagadish
since you are in classic scenario
a) one po number ranage for backend PO
b) another po number ranage for local PO - Why this is required means if it is ordered a direct local PO will be created SRM rather than R/3 system. this PO document type also must be mapped in r/3.
c) backend PO number ranage configuaration you can map in backend as external.

Purchase Requisition Is Being Getting Created In APO But not being publishe
On doing, SNP Location Heuristics on one of our item, purchase requisition is being getting created in APO (We are able to see the same in RRP3) but the same is not being getting published in ECC. On doing CCR of the said location - product combination, it is showing Error u201C182u201D. We have checked the following parameters :-
Item is an APO Item i.e. X0.
It is having a proper Purchasing Group.
As This be a purchase item. So, it is having a valid single Purchase Info Record.
Item Has Not Been Blocked At Any Level.
Vendor From Whom This Item is being getting procured is also open (Not Blocked).
Please suggest what else to be checked and what else can be the reason for non-flowing of purchase requisition from APO to ECC.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Sanjeev ChughHi Sanjeev,
Please check change pointers if any and send them to ECC. Check the order in the planning book whether it has picked the same source for which there is a Purchase info record. If these all are fine then You send them to ECC from the CCR then check the log in ECC through CFG1 tcode.

Purchase order no not getting displayed in FBL3N for doucment type RE
Dear all,
We have done a settings in FBL3N t.code. We have added BSEG-EBELN in the special fields and saved the layout. The purpose is to make the purchase order number to display when we are executing line item display for GR/IR clearing and Cenvat clearing gl account. Purchase order number is correctly getting displayed in Gr/ir clearing account. But in cenvat clearing gl account the transactions that are related to doucment type SA(that is J1IEX transaction), the purchase order number is getting displayed, but in the transactions that are related to document type RE(MIRO transactions), the purcahse order number is not getting displayed.
We have checked the BSEG table for the gl account. The purchase order number is not getting updated for the MIRO transactions in the cenvat clearing gl account.
Please suggest us so that the above issue can be solved.
Thanks & Regards,
AnandHi,
Could you please add field BSEG-EBELN as a special field in FBL3N (from menu path Settings -> Special fields). Then, select the Purchase order field again from "Change Layout" (Ctrl+F8). Now this field is available for display variants, it has the technical name 1-U_EBELN and the description 'Purchase Document'. The other field has the same description but as technical name
'1-EBELN'. When you create a display variant be aware that you select 1-U_EBELN and not 1-EBELN.
Please also refer to note 215798.

VMI scenario: purchase order number created by supplier
Hi,
in a VMI scenario is there a way to let the supplier create the purchase order number which is then sent in the ORDRSP IDoc to the customer? And in the customer system the purchase order number from the ORDRSP is used when the purchase order is created from the ORDRSP IDoc.
Is this possible? What needs to be done for it? Any ideas?
Regards,
RobertHi Anand,
I'm sorry but I didn't understand it.
The vendor creates a sales order in his system and sends the order rensponse (IDoc ORDRSP) to the customer system. There a purchase order will be created out of the ORDRSP. That's the standard process. But as far as I know in the purchase order there will be no external purchase order number used from the vendor system but a purchase order number from the customer system instead. This purchase order number from the customer system could be sent to the vendor system in an ORDCHG IDoc if needed. I want to know whether or not it's possible to send an external purchase order number from the vendor system to the customer system and create a purchase order with this external purchase order number.

Price during creating of Draft/Purchase Order fails in SP01 PL04
Hi,
we try to port an add-on of us to B1 2005 SP01 PL04. The Add-On create a Draft/Purchase Order by DI Api. Doing so works fine in 2005A SP00 PL08 and PL11.
Now we try to run it at SP01 and we got wrong prices in the DB.
Here some sample code in C#:
SAPbobsCOM.Documents document;
if(createAsDraftDocument == true)
document = (SAPbobsCOM.Documents)MainClass.Company.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oDrafts));
else
document = (SAPbobsCOM.Documents)(MainClass.Company.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oPurchaseOrders));
document.DocObjectCode = SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oPurchaseOrders;
filling the documents head data
// adding a document line
document.Lines.Add();
// filling line
document.Lines.ItemCode = 1;
document.Lines.SupplierCatNum = otherValue;
document.Lines.Quantity = 1;
document.Lines.Price = 1;
// adding the document
if(document.Add() != 0)
throw(new DocumentCreationException(MainClass.Company.GetLastErrorDescription());
// everything OK now
// fetch last docentry as docentry and save as xml
SAPbobsCOM.Documents d = (SAPbobsCOM.Documents)(MainClass.Company.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oDrafts));
d.GetByKey(Convert.ToInt32(docEntry));
string fn = @"E:\draft.xml";
d.SaveXML(ref fn);
In the XML I found:

This is the same the draft-form of the last draft we created shows:
Price is 5 instead of the expected price of 1 we assigned through the DI-Api.
Note: The Article-price in the item master data is set to 5.00.
Is anyone out there who could help us as our add-on didn#t work any more on the new SP.
Thanks
GerdHi all,
we found the problem our self. It seems that the handling of 'Price' and 'UnitPrice' differs a little bit between SP00 and SP01.
Setting the 'UnitPrice' in the document lines instead of of the 'Price' solves the problem.
A little bit ugly that the functionallity changes and there is no documentation found.
Greetings

Restrict Product Allocation if Planned order is not getting created
Hello All,
We have a scenario that when ever a Sales Order is getting created, Product allocation assignment will be done automatically and planned orders will be created for that requirement in APO.
There are some cases where in because of wrong Variant Configuration, Planned orders wont be created. Our requirement is to delete the Product Allocation automatically or to stop the product allocation assignment if the planned orders are not created.
Do we have any standard setting for doing so or Kindly suggest me some BADI's which can be used for it.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Srinivas.DSrinivas,
A rather odd requirement.
Have you tried in SCM APO 'Maintain check instructions' to perform the product check first, then allocation? I would think that if the product check failed, then allocation would not be consulted, and no allocation therefore assigned.
IMG > APO > GATP > General Settings > Maintain check instructions

SRM Classic Scenario - What decides if shopping cart creates a PO or PR
Hi,
In the classic implementation of self-service, how is it decided if the document created in ECC (after shopping cart approval) is a Purchase Order or a Purchase Requisition?
Is this through a technical solution ie., the PR or PO decision is based on the call to the BAPI that creates a PR or a PO?
If not then where in config is this aspect decided?hi
if you have assigned FIXED source of supply - PO will be created
if you dont assign any vendor / prefered vendor - PR will be created ( if no specific sourcing configured)
as masa said you can control the follow on documents in the define backend Objects..... -
Extended classic delete purchase order line items
We have a problem with the backend purchase order updating with changes made to the local (SRM) PO. A purchase order was cut with six line items and replicated to R/3 as expected. The line items contained materials. A couple of days later the requestor decided this order was not needed so the buyer went into the local PO and deleted the line items. The local PO looks fine but the backend PO has not been updated. I am recieving an alert message that states the following: "The material 0 does not exist or is not activated. BP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC". We do not have a material 0.
I've done an OSS search and came across note 918450. It mentions some issues with account assignment indexes for the extended classic scenerio. I've implemented the note and ran the program BBP_EXT_PO_ACC_INDEX, however nothing has changed with the backend PO. Also the note doesn't give much information on what should be done once the code changes are made.
Can anyone give me some insight on how I might find out what the problem is?
Best regards,
Shawn O'ConnorHi Shawn,
We had a similar problem before - we didn't get the alert message though. We implemented note 601073 in R/3 and the R/3 PO is updating fine now.

Purchase Order Response to being created automatically in SRM
We have a scenario where we trigger,from portal, in R/3 to send Orders02 to XI,XI maps Orders02 to Purchase Order to XML, and sends to a SRM system. We see a Purchase Order being created in SRM system, and ALE AUDIT Idoc is sent to the sender R/3 system sucessfully. Now, when we "confirm" the purchase order in the SRM system, this should automatically trigger a Purchase Order Response from SRM to XI and then from XI to the R/3. This part isn't working for us. Are we missing some configurations the SRM side?
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

We need to use u0080 sign in purchase order text, but get # instead
When the sign is entered into the text of a purchase order we get the message The input field contains prohibited characters and it replaces it with a #.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
We are using SAP version 4.6c. I think that this was working before we installed some hotpatches?
Many thanks
KarenHello Karen and Carlos,
I have found the note 447596 (Euro sign/Trademark sign: processing) which might be of help for you.
It seems that the problem is that the Euro character is not part of the ISO 8859-1 norm which is used by many operating systems. So the Euro character could not be included into the R/3 system character set 1100 and R/3 cannot recognize it.
The only possibility to use the Euro character in the SAPscript editor is to enter <156> in the old editor or to press 'Insert command' and insert SAP character 156 in the new PC editor (this is described in the note 129581). This is the only possibility to use the Euro character.
I hope this helps,
Esther. -
