Cleaning and replacing key caps

Is there anywhere u can buy key caps for the MacBook Pro so u can replace it?
If not then how do i clean the key cap so that the oil stains come off?

After printing 10 pages on photo paper, all with streaks, I shut off printer. The next day, I tried again, and no streaks. I am considered looking into an extended warranty for this product. FYI, to inquire about extended warranty services, you can contact:

D5160 - printed output streaked, even after cleaning and replacing cartridges

SYSTEM SETUP:
1. I purchased my HP Photosmart D5160 over 3 years ago (12/20/06).
2. I use only HP ink cartridges (98 for black, 95 for tri-color).
3. I print photos on professional glossy inkjet photo paper.
PRIOR TO PROBLEM:
1. Until a couple of months ago, I have been printing flawless photos with the setup mentioned above.
2. Sometimes after installing new HP ink cartridges, a printed photo would print out with streaks. To resolve this issue, I would "Clean the Print Cartridges" via the "HP Photosmart D5100 series Toolbox" and the photos would then print out flawlessly.
PROBLEM:
1. Beginning about two months ago, I am unable to have my photos print out flawlessly. The photos print out consistently with some streaking. I use the same paper as I always have. I purchase the same HP ink cartridges as I always have.
2. Using the "HP Photosmart D5100 series Toolbox," I clean the print cartridges and do an intermediate clean and then a prime. Problem still remains.
3. I then cleaned the print cartridges manually per the following HP doc (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01711664&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=1155996) but problem still remains.
4. I then replaced both the black and tri-color ink cartridges and problem still remains.
QUESTION:
Is it time to buy a new printer or is there something else I can try?

My "caps lock" key and "P" key do not respond on my 2009 macbook pro unibody

I recently bought a used macbook pro for university. When I bought it the guy who had it before me was running windows 7 on the machine. (why ruin a mac with windows software? I have no idea) I love macs and everything about them so I decided to wipe the hard drive clean and run OSX like any other normal mac user... well now the "caps lock" and "P" keys do not respond at all!!! I've checked my keyboard settings and keyboard and character viewer and its only those keys that do not respond!! Any ideas how I could reset the hardware? (I have a feeling he had to configure the keys to windows software) And yes, I did see the keys work when I bought it!! Does anybody know apples policy on applecare? like what would I need to bring in to redeem it? (I know this computer is warrantied until 2013)

I got the exact same roblem- you can see that, "p" missing in the word problem.
And Caps lock doesn't work either.
A few hours ago, I had problem with Shift keys. They were stuck, I don't know which one but everything would be capatalized and minimizing windows would be very slow. Then the repairman at a Mac Support center (authorized reseller, no Apple stores here) took off the back cover and cleaned a small chord or something and the Shift problem vanished and this one appeared. The guy thinks it's related to keyboard- must be!- and I need to change it. Could there be any other option?

Dim and Fact Key sync and Clean up

We have some really bizarre thing going on in our DW environment, same ETL jobs is running twice and because of extremely bad design with no constraints at all, we have lots of duplicate records getting inserted.
So the actual row count in DIM table should be 3 mill, but because of these multiple runs the count is like 9 mill rows. I'll illustrate this with an example.
This is the Dimension table, column (HEADER_ITEM ,LINE_ITEM) is the NATURAL_KEY, while DIM_SK is the PK, as you can see the table has three occurrence of NATURAL_KEY with increasing PK, but some time it may have same PK too, as there is no actual PK constraint on this table.

SABEGH_FACT:
Since this FACT table, may still refer the old PK from the DIM, we need to change the PK appropriately, so that it ties up with the DIM correctly. SABEGH_FACT should contain now this data set, which is the final results.
i replaced old keys with new PK from the Dim, and if after this operation there are dups in FACT, load only one occurrence.

These table are really huge, so it would be nice to have some fast query, I can add INDEXES, CONSTRAINTS; if it helps to speed up the process. Also, I would like to have a cross-reference table, which as both old keys and new keys, there are other FACT tables, which are still referring the OLD PK from this DIM table, so I have to update that FACT table key as well,

Due to a brain injury my daughter can only use her left hand to type. She also uses a text to speech app to verbalize all of her needs since her speech isn't intelligible any longer either. And her vision was significantly affected also, so the keyboard has to be mounted about 6 inches from her face. So to reach across the keyboard with her left hand to the right side delete and enter button is physically difficult and causes typing errors, which cause people to not understand what shes trying to say.
The best keyboard so far is the Zagg folio mini. I just had to make stickers to enlarge the letters on the key buttons.
Does anyone know how I can reprogram these two keys? Or where I can buy a wireless mini keyboard for Ipad made for lefthanders with these two functions on the left side. I have searched for days and days. It's sooooo important to me that she be able to contribute her voice again. Imagine if you got in a car accident and couldn't speak clearly any longer, but understood everything still. Thanks for any help and suggestions you all take the time to share with me. I really appreciate the kindness of strangers to help me help my daughter.

Using + and - keys to change dates and times; Find and Replace event

I have two iCal related questions. One has been bugging me since the Snow Leopard upgrade and the other I'm just wondering about.
1. Is it just me or is it no longer possible to use the + and - keys to increment dates and times when editing an event? It seems that now I have to actually type in the numerals instead. Is there something in the preferences I'm missing or is that just the way it is now? Seems like a step backward, if so.
2. Is there a way to do a "find and replace" for an event that occurs sporadically throughout the year, but isn't a repeating event per se? I just want to rename the event itself.

I did not know that was possible. Try using the ↑/↓ arrow keys to increment numbers, and →/← arrow keys to change fields.

AFAIK, you have to use the search field to find the individual events, and change them when you click on the events in the search results field.

Do you still have access to the old MacBook Pro? If so, you can transfer the license by copying the com.apple.iwork.plist from Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences to the same location on the new Mac. Note that this IS the main HD Library, not your user library. I have found that these files are not moved during setup or migration.
Are you really running Tiger 10.4.7? If so, you should update to 10.4.11. You can find the updater here. You also might consider buying the retail disk of iWork '09 from a third-party such as Amazon.com or eBay. It will add a lot of features for you. iWork '09 does require Tiger 10.4.11 at a minimum.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-522 Model no. PSAA2E-01C01EED and one of my shift keys
has broken down under, so i cant use it (The small plastic bar to balance the key is broken
so the key "hangs". I can send it to repair under the guarentee, and ive talked to the
seller, but i dont have the time to send it for repairs (no replacement laptop meanwhile).
Is it possible to get a new key, and replace it myself? I know some other notebook producers do the same thing,
instead of using lots of time on the repairs, if they are this simple.

Well, its very easy to replace the keycaps.

But if the whole key has broken you will need to replace the whole keyboard.
To remove the keyboard you have to remove the think plastic cover above the F keys.
Under this cover you will find 2 crews securing the keyboard
Remove the two screws and detach the flat keyboard cable which is connected to the motherboard.

Find and Replace window - command-keys?

The "Find and Replace" dialog window has got to be the most
obnoxious bit of programming I've seen, even by Macromedia
standards.
1) Are there any command-keys that work with it, e.g. to
CLOSE it from the keyboard without having to mouse up to the
"Close" button ?
2) Is there a way to type Cmd-F and then type the string to
search for AND HAVE it actually go into the "Find" field in the
window? (I've typed Cmd-F then a string 1,000 times, only to see
that the string has NOT gone into the search field, UNLESS the
dialog was previously closed. And there's no Keyboard command to
close the window either, see (1) above)
