Clearing issue Incoming payment due to Cash discount ( customers)
Hello,
During processing automatic incoming payments the system don't clear the customer open item in case the customer has taken a cash discount.
The clearing should be done automatically in the posting area 2 but now the the user needs to do manual interventions in the FEBAN in order to clear the customer
We checked the payment terms and verified the discount taken by the customer and they are ok
After investigation we guess that the original SD invoice don't send the Discount amount and Discount base amount to FI, because we saw that those fields are empty in the FI document (RV),
Also in Billing the Cash discount base field in empty...
When i tried to create a manual customer invoice those fields are well filled in and the system clears the customer open item perfectly !
Any one an idea how to fix it ?
Hello,
Thanks for your feedback but the issue is not solved.
Is there difference in clearing behaviour in case the open item posting is orginated from a SD invoice ( Billing) because as stated before, when I make a FI sales invoice (FB60) the system perfectly accepts the cash discount and post and clears in postingarea 2
Also when I consult the open item position (FBL5N) the cash discount amount field is empty which is not the case when I post an FB60 invoice
Summarized
We are usiing the automatic bank statement program ( FEBC), during posting the system post perfectly posting area 1 (FEBP) but fails the post postingarea 2 ( the system makes a payment advice) the message the system generates ' Difference to large for clearing F5263'
Many thanks for help

Payment advice help - Cash discount question
I am working on a process to get incomming payments from our banks by EDI and automatically apply and clear the payments against the outstanding invoices that we have. The customer that we are working with has a cash discount field that we need to use in our clearing. I have found in notes that the EDI fields needed to use for this is like in the following example:
<E1IDPU1>
<E1IDPU5>
<MOAQUAL>003</MOAQUAL>
<MOABETR>5.00</MOABETR>
<CUXWAERZ>USD</CUXWAERZ>
</E1IDPU5>
</E1IDPU1>
<E1IDLU5>
<MOAQUAL>003</MOAQUAL>
<MOABETR>5.00</MOABETR>
<CUXWAERZ>EUR</CUXWAERZ>
</E1IDLU5>
I would expect this to apply a $5 cash discount to whatever payment is in the other fields and then auto clear the invoice if the payment along with this cash discount equals the amount in the invoice. What is instead happening is that a payment for whatever the net amount I enter is created and it seems that this cash discount row is being ignored. How can I get this cash discount to be applied to the payment??Any ideas ?

Lockbox / Payment advice and cash discount
Hello
I am using lockbox (EDI 823) to apply cash to customers. It happens that customers don't take cash discount or just take a partial cash discount. I have implemented exits in program RFBELB20 for other controls and invoice indentification.
When the transaction processed, the payment should be applied to the invoice. However, when it is posted by SAP, cash discount is selected and payment is rejected because the overall payment difference is too big.
In F-28, I can either deactivate the cash discount, or force the cash discount amount, either to zero or to a value less than the maximum cash discount allowed.
In the table AVIP (payment advice detail), I have the fields WSKTO and XAKTS that, I supposed would allow me to do the same as in F-28. But it is not working. I may not fill AVIP with the correct data.
How should I process this ? I can't imagine SAP does not allow this.

Cash Discount taken incoming Payments
Hi folks,
when we allocation incoming payments to open AR, discounts might be taken from customers.
We use FB05 for this.
Discount GL is automatically chosen (OBXI) and correctly calculated.
However, tax needs to be adjusted as well. This is not automatically done.
What could be the reason for this?
Tax Category field for "Cash discount expenses" is filled with "*".
In case of purchase discounts in payment program F110, it works absolutely fine.
please let me know if you need additional information
Appreciate your help.Hi Benjamin,
I tried your scenario in a test system and it work well (i.e. VAT line is generated), the only ways it does not work (and rightly so in my opinion) are:
Cash discount account is set up as "no relevant for tax" (tax category is blank) in FS00
The company code is set up with "tax base is net value" in OBY6 but in this case I get an error message at posting if my cash discount account is set up as "tax relevant" in FS00
What is your setting for "cash discount" in OBY6 ?

SreHi,
You have a cash discount being determined through payment term. But when you are processing the payment the system is not able to identify the GL account to post the cash discount amount.
Go to SPRO>>Financial Accounting>>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>>Business Transactions>>Incoming Payments>>Incoming Payments Global Settings>>Define Accounts for Cash Discount Granted
Here you assign the GL account to post the cash discount amount.
Hope this helps.
thanks and regards,

Hi,
When I am processing vendor payment through Automatic payment transaction (F110), system is calculating vendor payment net of cash discount though the payment is overdue. For e.g., due date is 10th July 09, but I am processing payment 15th July, even in this case cash discount is being deducted out of payment made to vendor.
In FBZP we have not checked maximum cash discount. Even then why system is calculating cash discount for overdue payment.
Regards,
NagarajYou may also want to check whether there is a tolerance day specified in FBZP, on the same screen where you would check Max cash discount or tolerance group in master data, where grace days are allowed for discounts.

Double invoice in incoming payment
Hi All,
The issues I have are paid/credited is filled after incoming payment canceled. and two invoices with same number in the incoming payment row detail. Checking in GL report, there is only one invoice.
The scenario :
1. Create advance payment # 999
2. Create A/R Invoice # 222
3. Link payment # 495 to A/R Inv # 222 usinglink invoice to payment feature
4. Cancel payment # 999 because wrong Customer code
The results are the 1st paragraph. Have you had experience the same issue ? Pls share to me. Hope it could be from SAP support or maybe work around. Tks

JM
PS. SBO version 2005A SP 01 PL 27Hi Jimmy
Sometimes I find that when a payment is cancelled it places an amount in the "Payment on Account field" and incorrectly updates the individual lines, even though this does not appear to agree with the Customer transaction list.
We have only been ablt to resolve this by waiting until the next payment comes it and then netting of the lines with an amount in Payment on Account to clear the Incoming Payment screen back to normal.

Dear All,
Business scenario:
We have 6 branches .And branch users will enter the incoming payments received from their location customers.But the issue is in incoming payments they shouldn't be able to choose the vendor / they shouldn't be able to view the invoices due to vendors / they shouldn't be able to view the amounts of each invoice.
How we can made it possible in B1 ???
Regards,
Suresh kannanHi,
I agree with suda that you cannot prevent anybodey to click vendor button unless you create new menu for payment process using sdk.
Btw Suda, in some region (local settings) if we select vendor button in incoming payment the invoices will be display. So, in what version (local settings) that if we click vendor in incoming payment menu the invoice will not be shown?

Function Module - Customer Installment Payment Due
Hello,
I am trying to create a payment due report for our customers. We use installment payment terms for our customers. Therefore, when run at the end of September 2011 this report has to only show the invoice amount, tax and discount that is due as of that date. Is there a function module that I can use to get the split based on these installment terms?
The only other option is to do the calculation manually within the program i.e. read the installment percentage from the table T052S and calculate the values per invoice. However, it seems as if there would be a easier way to do this. Can someone please suggest any function modules that can be used to calculate the net due, discount and tax amounts per installment period?
Thanks,
RugmaniDear Rugmani,
Provide you url which is helpful to you....i think you must have to create a z-report for this purpose.

MT940 EBS upload for Incoming payment
HI,
We are implementing the MT940 format EBS upload for incoming payments. For incoming payment (customer) not executing the F110. so by EBS upload following posting should be happen;
Debit - Bank account
Credit - customer subledger account
The note to payee information in 86 field of bank file will contain the IBAN number and invoice number. and the posting / clearing should happen as follows;
- post document by debiting bank account and credit customers' account based on IBAN. ( only posting ,not clearing)
- clear the incoming payment based on invoice's document
- If some npayment record in bank statement not have invoice number then clear the amount in FIFO principle based on IBAN
Could you share what the steps i need to take care in "Assign External Transaction Types to Posting Rules" step and
Do we need to develop user exit to take care the incoming payment clearing as described above.
Where do we need to assign the user exit? how will system call user exit when we execute FF.5
Regards,
SwethaYou account digits logic is little unclear. Thats why it is always important have the proper logic while formulating the accounts.
For example
If the main account is
120300 (ending with 0)
120301 (Cheque Payable Sub account 1)
120302 (Cheque Receivable Sub Account 2)
Now you can mask
+++++1 for Cheque Payments
+++++2 for Cheque Receipts
But, you said, you
main account 13102211 and incoming subaccount was 13106271
If I understand correctly
the masking should be ++++6271
Otherwise

Cash Discount on procument value
Hi All,
We have a scenario in commission basis sale for cash discount as below.
Procurement.
Vendor procurement value- 100
Cash discount to vendor if within 5 days - Rs.2
The same procured material will sold to customer.
( In this while receiving the payment from customer cash discount needs to calculate on procurement value)
Sales.
Customer Billing value (procurement value + company Commission)= 100+5 = 105
Customer cash discount on procurement value (means 100/-) if customer pays within 5 days = Rs.2/-
The Idea of doing this is cash discount received and paid should be matched,
In FB70 we can maintain cash discount base amount manually or while receiving the payment we manually modify the cash discount amount. But it should be automatically since transactions are in huge valume.
Kinldy help in this.
Thanks in Advance
SahilHi,
Maintain Cash Discount GL in T.Code: OBXU, then system pick gl automatically
