Click on a word to hear the pronounciation

Hi every one.
So here's what I want to do. I want to create a webpage for French Immersion students and their parents. Basically what I want to do is have a hyperlink to each word where an intermediate student would pronounce the spelling words. So if a parent doesn't know how to pronounce certain words, they would go onto the website and play the word for their child.
The only way I found so far is this: 1-Garage band the entire spelling words, which is OK, but not really what I want.
2 - record each word individually with Garage Band. i.e. create a file for each word: time and space consuming.
3- record each word directly into iweb and hyperlinked them to the text. But I have no clue how to do this. Can someone help?
NOTE: it has to be easy so my students can do it every week without losing hours loading the files. All I would do is upload the webpage to the website.

QuickTime Pro may be the tool you need.
It can record from a built in mic or an externally connected one in full quality. It can then reduce that file size (via export) to something suitable for Web use.
Use QuickTime to capture at "high quality" (AIFF), edit, trim and then export to mono using AAC audio codec in a QuickTime .mov format.
This new file can then be added to your iWeb pages using the "link to file" method so any listener can download and save the file to their computer.
You would only need to tell your page visitors to "right click" on that link to save a copy to their computer (Mac or PC).

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, double check the volume button just in case. If you still can't hear the tones go into your settings>sounds and make sure the options are on.

Can't hear the words

I just got my nano, subscribed to itunes, and I connected the two and the songs were uploaded to my nano, I can hear the music but not the words, what am I doing wrong?

I just got my own, and as you I can only hear the words in the background.

Here's what I have (to the best of my knowledge):
Original source: mini DV tape, it's all HD
I use capture now to digitize the whole tape. My easy setup is: HDV- 1080i60 FiriWire Basic. After I have digitized all of it - it's an .mov file with the settings I just posted above. So when final cut is done digitizing I already have all the files in my browser window and I just drag them and drop them in the timeline and I choose to match the timeline settings if they're different. So my timeline settings look like this:
Frame Size: 1440x1080
Vid Rate: 29.97 fps
Compressor: HDV 1080i60
When I'm done editing, I use batch export to export a bunch of sequences (they all have the same settings I just mentioned above) and I chose:
Format: QuickTime (custom), Compression Type H.264, frame rate: 29.97 fps, key frames: every 24frames, compressor quality- high, encoding: best quality. Then for size I choose either 1280x720 HD or I use "custom" to make them half the size of that so that would be 640x360. My point is to end up with an .mov file which I can then encode into an flv or just burn it on a data cd.
As for your question number 1: I'm not even sure what you mean by that.
Does all that make any sense now?

You are trying to copy a link, it is most likely in a different color such as the words "Microsoft's own forums" in his post. In Word highlight the word or words, control click on them, select Hyperlink, then Edit Hyperlink, then delete the link from the top box. It will then have a button asking if you want to "Remove Link", click on it.

I'm having trouble recording a bass to go along with a recording I dropped into GB. I'm using an interface and I can hear the bass line, I've clicked on the 'record' button, but the sound does not record. What am I missing?

Double check all your audio settings.
System Preferences --> Sound --> Input should be set to your audio interface.
GB --> Preferences --> Audio/MIDI --> Input should be set to your audio interface.
With your track selected, open the Track Info pane, and select the Edit tab. Under input make sure that Mono 1 or 2 is selected (which number will depend on which input you plugged your bass cable into).

With the track selected and olaying, (either the 'musical note' or 'artwork' showing), tap once in the centre of the screen to bring up the sub header - the original 'repeat', 'repeat once' and 'shuffle' icons are displayed - tap once again to hide the menu. Hope this helps.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

To troubleshoot your iPhone's speakers please go through the following steps:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.

I don't like that approach for adult learners, cannot refrain from mentioning that.
Don't use a playbar but create custom navigation. You'll need a next button on each slide that appears after the audio (in timeline). Since slides will not all have the same duration you'll need an individual button per slide, a shape button on master slide or timed for the rest of the project will not be possible.
